Lottie Inglehart
COLORADO CITY — Lottie Inglehart, 87, died Tuesday in a Midland hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in the Dorn Chapel Methodist Church with the Rev. Orvel Brantley officiating. Burial will be in the Dorn Cemetery, directed by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Inglehart was born in Mitchell County and was a lifelong resident. She was the widow of Lee Roy Inglehart, whom she married on November 6, 1926 in Colorado City. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors include one daughter, Wilma Poe of Midland; one son, Roy Wayne Inglehart of Colorado City; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Jay Craddock
LUBBOCK — Jay Craddock, 81, formerly of Colorado City, died Tuesday in a local care facility.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the First United Methodist Church in Colorado City with the Revs. Darris Egger, Kay Reed, and R.L. Porter officiating. Burial will be in the Colorado City Cemetery, directed by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Craddock was born in Robert Lee and lived in Colorado City from 1945 to 1997, when he moved to Lubbock. He married Marian Gilbert on August 21, 1943 in Denton. He owned a Ford dealership in Colorado City for 22 years and was the business manager for the Colorado City Independent School District for 16 years. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Award by the Junior Chamber of Commerce and was a past president of the Mitchell County Hospital Board. He was a member of the Colorado City Lions Club, Mitchell County Appraisal Board, West Texas Council of Girl Scouts of America Board, First United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife of Lubbock; two daughters, Dana Bear and Roberta Grau, both of Lubbock; two sisters, Mary Mae Wylie of Robert Lee and Maxine Wulgen of Richardson; one brother, Bill Craddock of Medina; and two grandchildren.

Geraldine Haggerton
COLORADO CITY — Geraldine Haggerton, 71, died Tuesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Oak Street Baptist Church with Dr. Bentley Gwyn officiating. Burial will be in the Colorado City Cemetery, directed by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Haggerton was born in Robert Lee and lived most of her life in Colorado City. She was the widow of Tommy Owens, whom she married in 1946. She married Robert Haggerton on June 10, 1967, in Mexico. She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of Colorado City; two daughters, Darlene Henderson of Colorado City and Jana Barr of Goliad; five sons, Steve Owens, James Owens, and Robert Haggerton, all of Colorado City, David Owens of San Angelo, and Ronny Owens of El Dorado Springs, Miss.; one brother, Jimmy Wright of Mansfield; 16 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Elbert L. ‘Sarge’ Wilson
Elbert L. “Sarge” Wilson, 74, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Heritage Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Schirle officiating. Burial will be at 1:45 p.m. Monday at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mr. Wilson was born in Mexia. He lived in Abilene for the past three years and from 1960-70. He served in both the Army and the Air Force, retiring in 1970. He taught school in Cy-Fair I.S.D. and was also a county administrator in Harris County. He married Mary Sue McCain in Lubbock in 1946. He was a member of the Masons, the V.F.W., the “Over-the-Hill-Gang” and Heritage Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Donald L. Wilson of Cleburne and Barry L. Wilson of Willis; one daughter, Virginia Wilson of Abilene; one sister, Marjorie Griffin of Midland; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Ruth H. Butler
Ruth H. Butler, 86, died Thursday in a local hospital.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Episcopal Church of the Heavenly Rest with the Rev. Scott Mayer officiating. Committal services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Greenwood Funeral Home and Cemetery in Fort Worth, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mrs. Butler was born in New Bedford, Mass. She moved to Abilene from Fort Worth in 1988. She was a homemaker and the widow of Walter Butler. She was active in the Fort Worth Symphony and worked with the Van Cliburn competition. She was a member of the Engineers Wives Club and the Episcopal Church of the Heavenly Rest. She was active in the Boy Scouts in Fort Worth.
Survivors include two sons, Bruce Butler of Abilene and Malcolm Butler of Guatemala City, Guatemala; and five grandchildren.

Jessie Lee Jones
Jessie Lee Jones, 89, of Hawley, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Hawley United Methodist Church with the Revs. Allan Cartrite and John Headrick officiating. Burial will be in Hawley Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mrs. Jones was born in Commerce and attended school in San Saba. She moved to Hawley from Dublin in 1938. She was the widow of Samuel J. Jones, whom she married in Dublin in 1930. She was a homemaker. She was a Communion Chairman for 35 years and taught Sunday school for 30 years at Hawley United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one son, Frank Jones of Hawley; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Fletcher E. Campbell
Fletcher E. Campbell, 76, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in the Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with Bill Luttrell officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Campbell was born in Comanche County. He had been a resident of the Big Country area since 1933. He served in the Pacific Theater with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was the widower of Betty McClendon, whom he married in Abilene in 1956, and of Bernice Hindman, whom he married in Abilene in 1991. He had been the foreman for Grand Mud Company and Mohawk Mud Company, and had also worked for American Mud Company. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Shankle of Graham; three brothers, R.J. Campbell and George Campbell, both of Corning, Calif., and C.J. Campbell of Clyde; one sister, Gladys Emerson of North Richland Hills; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Dorothy Decker
LUFKIN — Dorothy Decker, 86, formerly of Comanche, died Wednesday in a local medical center.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Hamlin Cemetery, directed by Hall & Sons Funeral Home of Comanche.
Mrs. Decker was born in Barron County, Ky. She was the widow of Joe Allen Decker and Otis Decker. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include two stepdaughters, Edith Jones and Mary Huntsinger; and one grandchild.

Mary Fern Whitworth
STAMFORD — Mary Fern Whitworth, 89, died Thursday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Theisen officiating. Burial will be in Spring Creek Cemetery in Avoca.
Mrs. Whitworth was born in Hood County and moved to Avoca as a child. She was the widow of Elmer Glenn Whitworth, whom she married on July 25, 1932 in Avoca. She lived in Monahans and Odessa until moving back to Stamford in 1998. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church in Odessa.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Lou Rosson of Granbury, Glenda Helton of Mt. Pleasant, and Judy Camp of Flower Mound; one brother, Raymond Weeks of Haskell; five sisters, Blanche Ham of Avoca, Lota Grogan of Pecos, Lucille Stephens of Lubbock, and Lavita Neal and Kate Hallmark, both of Dallas; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

John V. McClead
LAKE BROWNWOOD — John V. McClead, 79, died Wednesday in Sweetwater.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Rocky Creek Baptist Church with Rick Justis officiating. Burial will be in the Rocky Creek Cemetery, directed by Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
Mr. McClead was born in Roberson, Ill. He married Lucille Hensley in Odessa on August 21, 1941. He lived in Seminole for 38 years before moving to Lake Brownwood in 1992. He was a veteran, worked in the oil industry, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Seminole.
Survivors include his wife of Lake Brownwood; one son, Charles Ray McClead of Lubbock; one daughter, Diana Lee Satterwhite of Round Rock; one sister, Helen Moore of Tulsa, Okla.; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is scheduled at Heartland Funeral Home.
