Mamie Kennamer White
Mamie Kennamer White, 91, of Abilene died Saturday at a local nursing center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at North 5th and Grape Street Church of Christ with A.H. Kennamer and Claud Parrish officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mrs. White was born in Paint Rock, Ala., and graduated from high school in Gurley, Ala. She was a licensed vocational nurse. She moved to Sweetwater from Paint Rock, Ala., in 1942 and worked at Young Medical Center in Sweetwater and Roscoe Hospital in Roscoe. She moved to Abilene in 1964 and retired from Hendrick Medical Center, where she worked from 1964-1978. She was a member of North 5th and Grape Street Church of Christ and active with Cobb Park Senior Citizens Center. She was a volunteer for Retired Senior Volunteer Program. She married Lovis C. Kennamer in 1928 in Woodville, Ala. She married Cecil L. White in 1983 in Abilene. Both preceded her in death.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. E.G. (Jean) Holzmann of Abilene, Mrs. Bob G. (Anita) Holloway of Springtown and Mrs. Ronnie (Wanda) Pietzsch of Colorado City; two sisters, Estelle Perry of Florence Ala., and Mrs. Howard (Alice Mildred) Maples of Paint Rock, Ala.; six granddaughters and six great-grandchildren.

The family will be at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.

Joe Gilmore
CISCO — Joe Gilmore, 61, formerly of Cisco, died Saturday at his home in Fort Worth.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Chambers-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Benny Hagan and Darrell Wait officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mr. Gilmore was born in Rising Star, attended Cisco schools and graduated from Cisco High School in 1955. He graduated from Cisco Junior College and St. Cloud State Teachers College in St. Cloud, Minn. He returned to Texas in 1959 and worked for Stratoflex in Fort Worth and led music at Oakwood Baptist Church. He was music director for First Baptist Church in Goree and Immanuel Baptist Church in Abilene and also pastored Second Baptist Church in Abilene while attending Hardin-Simmons University. He graduated from HSU in 1968 and was pastor of First Baptist Church, Jayton, and Calvary Baptist Church, Dumas. He moved to the Dallas area in 1980 and had worked for Spaeth Industries in Irving for eight years.
Survivors include one son, Benjamin, of Allen; two brothers, Billy Gilmore of Lake Worth and Don Webb of Dallas; two sisters, Dana Coomer of Saginaw and Cindy Serrault of Blum; his former wife, Mattye Jo Cobb of Richardson; five grandchildren and numerous other relatives.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.

Alfred Richardson
COLEMAN — Alfred P. Richardson, 89, died Saturday at a local hospital.
Memorial services were Sunday at Holiday Hill Chapel with the Rev. Bill Evans officiating. Private graveside services will be in Glenwood Cemetery in Alvarado, directed by Walker Funeral Home.
Mr. Richardson was born in Alvarado and graduated from Corrizozo, N.Mex., High School. He had lived in Coleman County since 1997. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a Methodist. He was a salesman for Gulf Oil Refining Co., Cat’s Paw Rubber Co. and, from 1953-1980, Huber’s Western Wear in Lubbock.
Survivors include several cousins, including Mr. and Mrs. John Queen of Coleman.

Dick Haralson Davis
RULE — Dick Haralson Davis, 69, died Sunday at a Stamford nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Rule Cemetery with Scott Hensley officiating, directed by McCauley-Robison Funeral Directors.
Mr. Davis was born in Stamford and lived in Rule most of his life. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his stepmother, Margaret Davis of Nashville, Tenn.; one sister, Joy Jones of Rule; one stepbrother, Mike Haralson of Nashville; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Memorials may be made to Memorial Fund of First Baptist Church.
The family will be at 900 5th Avenue.

Melba LaNell Davis
COLEMAN — Melba LaNell Davis, 57, died Sunday at an Abilene hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion with James Bailey officiating, directed by Stevens Funeral Home.
Mrs. Davis was born in Roscoe, moved to Coleman as a child and lived there the rest of her life. She graduated from Coleman High School and was a financial consultant with Complete Care Services. She was a member of Elm Street Church of Christ. She married Dalton Davis in 1959 in San Antonio.
Survivors include her husband, of Coleman; one son, Steve Davis of Eagle River, Alaska; her father, C.N. Davenport of Coleman; and three grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.

W.C. ‘Bill’ Harris
MERKEL — W.C. “Bill” Harris, 88, of Trinidad, Colo., died Saturday in Raton, M.M.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Griffith officiating, directed by Starbuck Funeral Home.
Mr. Harris was born in Big Spring and moved to Trinidad from San Marcos in 1998. He attended Merkel schools and graduated from Paducah High School. He was an oil field pumper for Exxon in Ballinger for 30 years. He was a Mason and a member of Wingate Masonic Lodge. He was a member of First Christian Church of San Marcos.
Survivors include two sons, Lige Buddy Harris of Cokedale, Colo., and Howard Barton Robinson of Karnack; one sister, Anna May Russell of Merkel; three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Jose Rodriguez
ANSON — Jose D. Rodriguez, 75, died Sunday at a local hospital.
Rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m. today at Lawrence-Adams Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Oscar Del Rio officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Mr. Rodriguez was born in Jones County, where he lived most of his life. He attended rural Jones County schools and was a Catholic and a retired farmer.
Survivors include two sons, David Rodriquez and Joe Rodriguez III, both of Anson; two daughters, JoAnn Medina of San Antonio and Maria Rodriguez of Anson; one brother, Jim Rodriguez of Anson; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Addie ‘Granny’ Brumfield
EASTLAND — Addie “Granny” Brumfield, 96, formerly of Cross Plains and Odessa, died Sunday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Harry Garvin and Jonathan Gay officiating. Burial will be in Sabano Cemetery, directed by Edwards Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brumfield was born in Comanche and moved to Fisher County as a child. She opened Addie’s Cafe in Rotan and owned several cafes, ending with the Trolley Inn cafe in Odessa. She moved to Cross Plains in 1972 and to Eastland in 1978. In Odessa she taught the Dorcas class and kept the nursery at Green Acres Baptist Church. In Cross Plans she taught senior adult and Mission Fiends at First Baptist Church, and in Eastland she was director of WMU. She kept more than 300 foster children during her lifetime. She married Andrew Clifton Henry and later married Sid Brumfield in Odessa.
Survivors include one daughter, Frances Thomas of Eastland, and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the WMU at Bethel Baptist Church.

Patricia ‘Tish’ Carter
MERKEL — Patricia D. “Tish” Carter, 48, died Saturday at her home.
Services will be at 6 p.m. today at Merkel Church of Christ with David Mickey officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, directed by Girdner-Brown Funeral Home, 111 Elm in Abilene.
Mrs. Carter was born in Abilene and graduated from Abilene High School. She lived in Merkel for several years and was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Larry D. Carter; one daughter, Jennifer D. Locke of Houston; one son, Christopher C. Carter of Houston; her parents, Rayburn and Lois Pruitt of Merkel; and one brother, Roy Pruitt of Lancaster.
