MONAHANS — Frieda Moore, 68, of Blackwell died Saturday at her home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Harkey Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Terry officiating. Burial will be in Monahans Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Moore was born in Albuquerque, N.Mex., and was a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Moore of Blackwell; two sons, Ronnie Moore and Tim Moore, both of Monahans; one daughter, Vicki Nickels of Blackwell; two sisters, Virginia Gierisch of Mason and Avis Brandon of Banning, Calif.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of San Angelo or the Blackwell Volunteer Fire Department.

Emma May ‘Daisy Mae’ Stanfield
Emma May Creek Stanfield, 86, died Friday at her home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Crescent Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Chancellor officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by North’s Funeral Home, 242 Orange.
Mrs. Stanfield was raised in Coleman County. She married James Johnson Stanfield on May 25, 1932, in Voss and moved to Abilene in 1954. She was a school cafeteria worker for over 20 years and was a member of the Crescent Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of Abilene; one son, James Isaac Stanfield of Abilene; three daughters, Charlotte Dutton of Orlando, Fla.; Joyce Tekell of Casper, Wyo., and Betty Ower of Napa Valley, Calif.; two brothers, Wayne Creek of Dallas and J.B. Creek of Coleman; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Marion Catherine ‘Kitty’ Telford
Marion Catherine “Kitty” Telford, 83, formerly of Pleasanton, died Monday.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 20, at Sears Heritage Retirement Home, 1250 E.N. 10th. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 22, at Porter Loring Funeral Home Chapel in San Antonio. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
Mrs. Telford was the widow of Lawrence Wood Telford, whom she married on May 28, 1937, in San Antonio.
Survivors include one son, William L. “Bill” Telford of San Antonio; one daughter, Mrs. Phil (Carolyn) Rancier of Abilene; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Friday, May 21, at Porter Loring Funeral Home in San Antonio.
Memorials may be made to the First Methodist Church of Pleasanton.

Earl R. Bristow
Earl R. Bristow, 83, died Monday at a local nursing home.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today at North’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange, with the Revs. Ronnie Newton and Vance Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Fort Phantom Cemetery with the VFW Honor Guard providing military rites.
Mr. Bristow was raised in Stuart, Okla. He married Thelma Myatt on March 21, 1942 in Wilberton, Okla. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II in the 45th Division. Prior to his retirement in 1977, he worked for the City of Abilene Municipal Services for over 30 years. He was a member of the VFW and the Grace United Methodist Church. He was a past president of the Fort Phantom Cemetery Association.
Survivors include his wife of Abilene; one son, Earl Bristow Jr. of Fort Worth; one grandchild; and five great-grandchildren.

Charles Donaghey
NOVICE — Charles Donaghey, 74, died Tuesday in a Temple nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 20, at Rough Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Reed Justus officiating, directed by Stevens Funeral Home of Coleman.
Mr. Donaghey was born in Tennessee and attended school in Allen and Ada, Okla. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Missouri. He married Pauline “Poppy” Row in Rankin on Dec. 15, 1957. He lived in Big Lake for 30 years, where he was a volunteer fireman and received an award as the seventh best firefighter in the state of Texas. He was also an EMT and a member of the Big Lake Masonic Lodge. He moved to Novice in 1984, and was honored as the Best Citizen. He was a member of the Novice Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of Novice; three sisters; one half-brother; several nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be at the Novice Methodist Church on Thursday after lunch.

GRAHAM — Lora Hail Pate, 84, died Monday in Graham.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church of Trent with the Rev. Jimmy Davis and Larry Fields officiating. Burial will be in Trent Cemetery, directed by Starbuck Funeral Home of Merkel.
Mrs. Pate was born in Jones County. She was the widow of Jack Pate, whom she married on Aug. 5, 1934. She was a homemaker and a member of Trent First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two brothers, Norris Hail of Denver, Colo. and Robert Hail of Millery, Ala; two sisters, Lula Mae Davis of Coleman and Mary Jo Fields of Graham; and several nieces and nephews.

Annie McDonald Williams
CISCO — Annie McDonald Williams, 71, died Thursday at her home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 20, at the Church of Christ in Haskell with Bob Pipes officiating. Burial will be in Willow Cemetery, directed by Holden-McCauley Funeral Directors of Haskell.
Mrs. Williams was born in Haskell. She married Edwin E. Williams on June 27, 1943, in Haskell. She retired as owner-operator of Sew Terrific and was also a “Million Dollar Club” consultant at Memorial Park Cemetery, both in Wichita Falls.
Survivors include her husband of Cisco; three sons, Eddie Don Williams of Wichita Falls, Joe A. Williams of Possum Kingdom Lake, and Ralph E. Williams of Waco; one brother, J.C. McDonald of Eastland; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Johnnie P. Calvert
STRAWN — Johnnie P. Calvert, 84, died Monday in Eastland.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 20, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Strawn with the Rev. Robert Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Marion Cemetery.
Mr. Calvert was born in Brad and attended school in Thurber and Unity School. He married Winnie Alena Keiner on Dec. 22, 1945, in Eastland. He farmed and ranched, and was an automobile mechanic in his own garage for many years. He was a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife of Strawn; one son, Charles Calvert of Ranger; one daughter, Roberta Vinson of Carthage, Miss.; one sister, Dean Cluck of Austin; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Bartlett Holland
STAMFORD — Bartlett Holland, 90, died Tuesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at the Central Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Paul McGlasson officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery, directed by Tankersley Funeral Home of Stamford.
Mr. Holland was born in Anson and was a lifetime resident of Jones County. He married Lucy Moudy on Jan. 27, 1933, in San Angelo. He retired in 1981, from Stamford Cotton Oil Company. He was a member of the Stamford Rotary Club, the Texas Cowboy Reunion, and an elder at the Central Presbyterian Church. He also volunteered at the Stamford VIP Community Center.
Survivors include his wife of Stamford; one daughter, Martha Sharpe of Fort Worth; two sons, James Bartlett Holland of Durango, Colo. and John Robert Holland of Orlando, Fla.; two brothers, Charles Holland of Fort Worth and T.L. Holland of Floydada; one sister, Lela Mae Roberts of Anson; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

LUFKIN — Joan Darlene Kirk, 55, died Monday in a local hospital.

Mrs. Kirk was born in Merkel. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Kirk, of Lufkin; three daughters, Tammy Grimes of Huntington, Pamela Kirk of Lufkin, and Dawn Bratcher of Etoile; four sisters, Doris Van Cleve and Linda Pugh, both of Hawley, and Lois Deen and Debra Hamilton, both of Abilene; one brother, Jimmy Black of Houston; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
