Carl Edward Hennesay
Carl Edward Hennesay, 63, of Abilene, died Tuesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 4, at the Allen-Korzenewski Funeral Home Chapel, 1443 North 2nd, with the Rev. George Ivy officiating. Burial will be in the Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Mr. Hennesay was born in Fort Worth and graduated from Abilene High School in 1954. He was an U.S. Air Force veteran. He worked for General Dynamics as an inspector and was a member of the Church of God.
Survivors include companion, Margie Meador; one son, Timothy Shawn Hennesay of Abilene; two brothers, Kenneth Hennesay of Fort Worth and Wayne Hennesay of Lubbock; one sister, Shirley Lofton of Abilene; and eight grandchildren.

Inez Martin
STAMFORD - Inez Martin, 81, died Wednesday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel in Stamford with the Rev. Joel Rister officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Martin was born in Haskell County and was a lifetime resident of the area. She was the widow of Morris Martin, whom she married on July 3, 1936, in Avoca. She was a homemaker and a member of the Avoca Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Milton Martin of Stamford; three brothers, W.C. Preston of Stamford, Wayne Preston of Anson, and Bill Preston of Houston; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Jerry Herman
HAMLIN - Jerry Herman, 58, died Tuesday in an Abilene hospital.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Jayton Cemetery with the Rev. Carlton Earp officiating, directed by Foster-Adams Funeral Home of Hamlin.
Mr. Herman was born in Sulphur Springs and raised in Jayton. He moved from South Carolina to Hamlin in 1997. He married Donna Caylor Calhoun on April 13, 1998, in Abilene. He was a self-employed truck driver and a member of the Hamlin Foursquare Church.
Survivors include his wife of Hamlin; one daughter, Melisa Fay Herman of Teague; four stepdaughters, Glenda Mascari of Abilene, Robin Andregg of Rogers, Ark., Cindy Reynolds of Hamlin, and Lisa Saunders of Temple; one stepson, Paul Roberts of Chariton, Iowa; three sisters, Margaret Hall of Jayton, Ruby Fay Risinger of Sulphur Springs, and Esther Parker of Crosbyton; one brother, John Herman of Teague; one grandchild; six step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

James W. ‘Jim’ Couch
James W. “Jim” Couch, 82, a longtime Abilene resident, died Wednesday at his residence.
A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. today at the St. Paul United Methodist Church with the Rev. Archie Echols officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory. The body will be cremated.
Mr. Couch was born in Snyder. He served in the U.S. Army in the European Theater during World War II. He married Betsey Higgins in Boston, Mass. on Mach 27, 1946. He owned and operated Abilene Service Parts Company until his retirement in 1981. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of Abilene; one son, Bill Couch of The Woodlands; two daughters, Carol Clark of Austin and Jane Sherman of Bedford; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be in the church following the service.

Irene Johnston
CISCO — Irene Johnston, 80, died Thursday at her home.
Services will be at 11 am. Saturday, June 5, at the Chambers-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel in Cisco with the Rev. Larry Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnston was born in Kimble County. She married James W. Johnston on May 4, 1946, in Junction. She was a secretary at Millerman & Millerman in Abilene prior to moving to Cisco in 1961. She was a member of the I-20 Church of Christ in Cisco.
Survivors include her husband of Cisco; one brother, Joe Bailey Grobe of San Antonio; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Victor F. ‘Vic’ Thomas
KNOX CITY — Victor F. “Vic” Thomas, 74, died Wednesday at his residence after a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at the Knox City Church of Christ with Gene McCarty officiating. Burial will be in the Knox City Cemetery, directed by Smith Funeral Home of Knox City.
Mr. Thomas was born in Knox City and graduated from school in Sunset. He married Erle Jean Berryhill on July 2, 1942, in Ardmore, Okla. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a farmer/rancher and lifelong resident of Knox County. He was a member of Knox City Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of Knox City; one daughter, Vicki Diane Newsom Ooten of Fort Worth; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Marie M. Ratcliffe
GRAHAM — Marie M. Ratcliffe, 70, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 5 p.m. today in the Morrison Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Rev. Bob B. Bryan and Dr. David Mosser officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Ratcliffe was born in East Finley, Pa. She was the widow of Earnest S. Ratcliffe, whom she married on Feb. 1, 1949, in Clairemont, Texas. She was a retired secretary for Thriftway in Graham and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Graham.
Survivors include two daughters, Alana McRoberts of Snyder and Alecia Hansen of Abilene; one son, Melvin Ratcliffe of Victoria; one sister, Betty Cheek of Fort Worth; one brother, Billy McCleary of Fort Worth; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Maurice E. ‘Cliff’ Radcliff
MIDLAND — Maurice E. “Cliff” Radcliff, 40, formerly of Albany, died Monday in a local hospital following a motorcycle accident.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 5, in the Albany First Baptist Church with Rev. John Tunnel officiating. Burial will be in Albany Cemetery, directed by Godfrey-Neese Funeral Home of Albany.
Mr. Radcliff was an U.S. Army veteran. He was a carpenter and a plumber, and was formerly employed by the Albany Water Department and Albany Independent School District. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Margo Radcliff of Albany; three sons, Michael Radcliff, Daniel Radcliff, and Taylor Radcliff, all of Albany; one stepson, Chris McCauley of Albany; his mother, Margaret Johnston of Liberty; three brothers, James McNeil of Weatherford, Gary Crawford of Bryan, and Daniel Cornal of Midland; and two sisters, Dorothy Moore of Memphis, Tenn. and Kathy Brennaman of Lamessa.

Dean Vineyard
COMANCHE — Dean Vineyard, 59, of Sidney, died Wednesday at his residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Comanche Funeral Home Chapel in Comanche with Bro. Jimmy Nail and Rev. Alan Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Taylors Chapel Cemetery in Comanche.
Mr. Vineyard was born in Comanche. He married Shirley Sue Taylor on June 6, 1959 in DeLeon. He retired from the Texas Department of Public Safety after more than 30 years of service. He was a deacon and Sunday school teacher at Trinity Baptist Church in Sidney. He was a member of May Masonic Lodge 574 and a 32nd Degree in the Scottish Rite. He was also a Criminal Justice Masonic Degree team member. He was vice-president of the Sidney School Board and a member of the Comanche County Law Enforcement Association.
Survivors include his wife of Sidney; two daughters, Deana Sue Millican of Sidney and Nancy Tierney of Fort Worth; two sons, William Alan Vineyard of Sidney and Darron Scott Vineyard of Fort Worth; three brothers, Bill Vineyard of Comanche, Carl Wayne Vineyard of Austin, and Fred Jay Vineyard of Sidney; three sisters, Jane Vineyard of Colorado, Genoa Lucille “Lou” Fuller of Proctor, and Linda Inez Robison of Sidney; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
