Dustin Jones
EASTLAND — Dustin Jones, 12, died Thursday.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 5, in the Bakker Funeral Home Chapel in Eastland with the Rev. Benny Hagen officiating. Burial will be in the Eastland Cemetery.
Dustin was born in Ranger and had just completed the sixth grade at Eastland Middle School. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America and was a member of Troop 123 of Eastland. He was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Sheryl Jones of Eastland; his father, J.J. Finley of Eastland; three sisters, Shanna Jones, Jennifer Jones, and Jana Finley, all of Eastland; two brothers, Jody Finley and Jon Finley, both of Eastland; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Richard V. Brawley
LAKE BROWNWOOD — Richard V. Brawley, 74, died Thursday in a Brownwood hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 5, at the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Brownwood. Burial will be in Greenleaf Cemetery.
Mr. Brawley was born in Winona, Mo. and had lived at Lake Brownwood since 1982.
He was the widower of Johnnie Beatrice Criddle Brawley, whom he married on May 21, 1952, in Lovington, N.M.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a member of VFW post 3278. He was a retired pumper for Atlantic Richfield.
Survivors include three daughters, Jackie Hudson, Rebecca Paul, and Sandra Robles, all of Brownwood; stepson, Jimmy Obier of Brownwood; three sisters, Eula A. Collier of Iowa Park, Erma Harris of Gatzke, Minn., and Martha Beth Graff of Foston, Minn.; one brother, G.T. Brawley of Mena, Ariz.; 22 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.

Donna G. Armstrong
Donna G. Armstrong, 45, of Abilene, died Friday at a local hospital.
A private family graveside service will be Monday, June 7, at Elmwood Memorial Park with Dr. Cliff Stewart officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Hwy. 277 South.
Ms. Armstrong was born in Abilene and graduated from Cooper High School. She attended McMurry, Mary Meek School of Nursing, and Cisco Junior College where she received her LVN in 1989. She had been employed as a LVN at Sears Methodist Center for two years. She was a member of the First Central Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her parents, Lee and Lois Armstrong of Abilene; one sister, Debbie White of Austin; one brother, Bill Armstrong of Abilene; and one niece and one nephew.

Neita Mozelle Arp
Neita Mozelle Arp, 65, of Abilene died Thursday at her home.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, June 7, at Elmwood Memorial Park with the Rev. Frank Estes officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home 542 Hickory.
Mrs. Arp was born in Vernon and moved to Abilene from Phoenix, Ariz. in 1969. She was a self-employed nurse's aide and a Baptist.
Survivors include one son, Robert W. Franklin of Modesto, Calif.; three daughters, Diane Franklin of Houston, and Glenda Payne and Lanita Franklin both of Abilene; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

David Chancey
HAMLIN - David Chancey, 57, died Friday in a Big Spring hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 7, at the Hamlin Church of Christ with Jerry Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Anson, directed by Foster-Adams Funeral Home of Hamlin.
Mr. Chancey was born in Abilene, lived in the Compere Community in Jones County, and graduated from Noodle High School in 1960. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He married Lenona "Nona" Brown on May 25, 1963, in Hamlin and moved to Abilene, where he worked as a machinist for General Dynamics until retiring in 1982. He returned to Hamlin in 1986, and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of Hamlin; one son, Stacy Chancey of Hamlin; and two brothers, Douglas Chancey of Arroyo Grande, Calif. and Morris Chancey of Manor.

Dorothy Fenton Harding
COLEMAN - Dorothy Fenton Harding, 68, a lifetime resident of Coleman County, died Saturday in a local care center.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 7, in the Gouldbusk Cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Robinette officiating, directed by Stevens Funeral Home of Coleman.
Mrs. Harding was born in Coleman, and attended school in Harding and Gouldbusk. She graduated from Beauty College in Brownwood. She was the widow of Tom M. Harding, whom she married on Dec. 24, 1946, in Brownwood. She had been employed as the PBX operator at Coleman County Medical Center and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Tony Harding and Troy Harding both of Gouldbusk; one daughter, Marlene Cope of Santa Anna; her father and stepmother, W.F. and Iris Fenton of Coleman; two brothers, Archie Fenton of Gouldbusk and W.F. Fenton III of Buna; one sister, Sue Townsend of Merkel; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Hope C. Mourant
ALAMOGORDO, N.M. - Hope C. Mourant, 92, a former resident of Abilene, died Friday.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 7, at the Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home Chapel in Alamogordo with Al Maxey and Jim Morrow officiating. Burial will be in Monte Vista Cemetery.
Mrs. Mourant was born in Grand Saline. She was the widow of Hardie Lindley and Eugene Mourant. She owned Lindley Real Estate, and was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club. She was a past treasurer of Altrusa, past secretary of the Alamogordo Board of Realtors, and past District Governor of the Dale Carnege Alumni Association.
Survivors include one daughter, Doris Lindley Ruebush of Abilene; three sons, Buell H. Lindley and Dr. Norman D. Lindley both of Alamogordo, and Dr. Jearl R. Lindley of Las Cruces; one sister, Naomi Rutledge of El Paso; companion, Gemma Jackson; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Frank W. Nevans
Frank W. Nevans, 91, of Abilene, died Friday in a Denton hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 7, at St. Paul United Methodist Church with the Revs. Archie Echols and Bill Libby officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mr. Nevans was born in Valentine and had lived in Abilene for 62 years. He was a 1933 graduate of Sul Ross and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He married Florence Mecklin on Jan. 21, 1936, in Abilene. He was a 25 year member of the Kiwanis Club; Commander Knights Templar 27; Masonic Lodge 559, Suez Shrine Temple of San Angelo; West Texas Organ Club; and of the Friendship Sunday School class at St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of Abilene; one daughter, Janet Tyson of Lake Dallas; one brother, Jack Nevans of Odessa; one sister, Minnie Lock of Fredericksburg; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Rosie Lee Rowlins
Rosie Lee Rowlins, 94, of Abilene, died Thursday in a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 8, at the Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. L.W. Hutchinson officiating, directed by Curtis-Starks Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rowlins was born in Temple. She was the widow of Walter Rowlins.
Survivors include seven grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, June 7, at the funeral home.
