Jessie Jewel Foster
CLYDE -- Jessie Jewel Foster, 94, died Tuesday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Skaggs officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene.
Mrs. Foster was born in Mabank and she and her husband were farmers for many years. She also was a homemaker. She lived in Elmdale, Rowden, Blanket and Cross Plains before moving to Clyde in 1996. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was the widow of Charles Hiram Foster, whom she married in 1919 in Cross Plains.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Foster and Gene Foster, both of Clyde; one daughter, Golda Huston of Austin; three brothers, L.G. Akins of Eastland, C.H. Akins of Houston and R.J. Akins of Brownwood; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.

Nellie Mary Box Bennett
STAMFORD -- Nellie Mary Box Bennett, 83, died Saturday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Alling officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Anson.
Mrs. Bennett was born in Stamford and was a homemaker. She also was an artist and taught private art lessons. She was a member of Stamford Garden Club and First Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Stanford of Amarillo; one son, Zed Bennett of Abilene; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

John Roseboom
EARLY -- John H. Roseboom, 65, died Friday at his home.
Graveside services will be in Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C. at a later date. Arrangements were made by Heartland Funeral Home.
Mr. Roseboom was born in Watertown, N.Y., and attended school in Brownsville, N.Y. He was a pilot in the Korean and Vietnam wars and received a silver star and bronze star. He retired as a major from the U.S. Air Force in 1972. He married Kathleen A. DeBlauw in 1975 in West Point, N.Y., and formerly lived in Round Rock. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Brownwood, American Legion and Masonic Lodge in Round Rock, and Sojourners and Shrine clubs in Austin. He was a Presbyterian.
Survivors include his wife, of Early; one son, John Gary Roseboom of Round Rock; one daughter, Christine Autero of Danbury, Conn.; one sister, Diane Slate of Brownsville, N.Y.; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Maybell Gilbreath Seate
BROWNWOOD -- Maybell Gilbreath Seate, 92, of Wheatridge, Colo., died Wednesday in a Wheatridge nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. R.J. Elkins officiating. Burial will be in Cox Cemetery in McCulloch County.
Mrs. Seate was born in Mercury and taught school. She was a Baptist and was the widow of Jay Tee Seate.
Survivors include one son, Jay Troy Seate of Colorado; two brothers, Jack Gilbreath of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., and Kenneth Gilbreath of Brookesmith; two grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Geraldine Maxwell Yoes
Geraldine Maxwell Yoes, 76, lifelong Taylor County resident, died Friday in a local care center.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Tuscola Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mrs. Yoes was born in Taylor County and was a homemaker. She was a Seventh-day Adventist and was the widow of H.E. Yoes, whom she married in 1965 in Ballinger.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Rodriquez of Abilene; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

George Frederick Bunselmeyer Sr.
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- George Frederick Bunselmeyer Sr., 75, of Abilene, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
A private memorial service will be in Missouri at a later date. Arrangements were made by Cremation Society of Virginia.
Mr. Bunselmeyer was born in Missouri and served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was the widower of Wanda Jean Null Bunselmeyer.
Survivors include five daughters, Pennie Powell of Virginia Beach, Tena Airhart of Neosho, Mo., Carol Taylor of Mississippi, Mary Renfro of Abilene and Mendy Wyatt of Lubbock; three sons, George F. Bunselmeyer Jr., Larry Bunselmeyer and Carl Bunselmeyer, all of Abilene; three brothers; 21 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Maxwell Motz Kapus
PIPE CREEK -- Maxwell Motz Kapus, 79, formerly of Abilene, died May 20 at her granddaughter's home in Pipe Creek.
A memorial service was held May 23 in St. Christopher's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Don Lee officiating.
Mrs. Kapus was born in St. Louis and graduated from Harlendale High School in San Antonio. She moved to Abilene in the 1940s. She graduated from college in Abilene and worked for the traffic and planning department of the city of Abilene and for The Bridge. She was active with the Abilene Community Theatre during the 1960s and '70s. She moved to Pipe Creek in 1995. She taught Sunday school at the Episcopal Church of the Heavenly Rest in Abilene for many years and was the widow of Clinton W. Kapus, whom she married in 1941.
Survivors include one daughter, Maxwelle Couser of Pipe Creek; two brothers, Thomas Boyd Motz of Glendora, Calif., and Charles Motz of New Braunfels; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Jim Corene Robbins
BRECKENRIDGE -- Jim Corene Robbins, 82, died Thursday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Monday in Melton Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Brent Lively officiating. Burial will be in Yellow Fork Cemetery.
Mrs. Robbins was born in Fort Worth and graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1933. She was a homemaker and a rancher. She was a member of First Christian Church and was the widow of Travis Robbins, whom she married in 1937 in Eastland.
Survivors include one daughter, Edith Mozelle "Punky" Foy of Seymour; two sons, James T. "Jimmy" Robbins of Breckenridge and Norton A. "Smokey" Robbins of Fort Worth; one sister, Mozelle Eckstrom of Fort Worth; and three grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels or First Christian Church and left at the funeral home.

Faye Irene Plumley
RANGER -- Faye Irene Plumley, 86, died Thursday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Elizabeth Kugel officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Plumley was born in Newland and was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and was the widow of Roy Roland Plumley, whom she married in 1933 in Ranger.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Plumley of Ranger; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Pauline Dodds
BROWNWOOD -- Pauline (Mrs. Ray) Dodds, 90, who helped her husband operate Dodds Used Cars for many years, died Friday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Austin Avenue Church of Christ with Jerry Leslie officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Park, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dodds was born in Carrizozo, N.M., and was a homemaker. She moved to Brownwood in 1936 from Lampasas. She taught Sunday school at Austin Avenue Church of Christ for more than 35 years and was the widow of Ray B. Dodds, whom she married in 1924 in Burnet.
Survivors include one son, Wendell Dodds of Brownwood; one brother, Virgil Roy Sewell of Bellevue, Neb.; one sister, Margie Jackson of Tow; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
