Jerry Authur Lobstein
ZEPHYR - Jerry Authur Lobstein, 56, died Friday in a Dallas hospital.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 13, at the Zephyr Cemetery in Brown County with the Rev. Waymon Childress officiating, directed by Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
Mr. Lobstein was born in Coleman and had lived in Brown County most of his life. He married Leta Faye Myers in Zephyr in 1991. He was a Baptist and a member of the Brownwood area racing pigeon club.
Survivors include his wife of Zephyr; two sons, Jerald Lobstein and Jerry Wayne Lobstein both of Zephyr; one stepson, Jerry Walters of Brownwood; two stepdaughters, Gwen Newby of Holland and Teresa Stembridge of Brady; his father, Noble Lobstein of Coleman; two brothers, Jake Lobstein of Brownwood and Roy Lobstein of Fort Stockton; one sister, Patsy Cabillo of Coleman; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4-5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Jack Curtis Morgan Jr.
WINTERS - Jack Curtis Morgan Jr., 54, died Thursday in a San Angelo hospital.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 13, in the Winters First Baptist Church with the Rev. Barry Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the Mesa T Ranch Cemetery, directed by Winters Funeral Home.
Mr. Morgan was born in Seattle, Wash. and moved to Odessa as a child. He graduated from Odessa Permian High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and retired from the Marine Corps in the mid 1960's. He lived in El Paso before moving to Winters in the early 1990's. He was a member of the Winters American Legion and a Baptist.
Survivors include his parents, Jack and Trudy Morgan Sr. of Ballinger; one brother, Larry Morgan of Allen; two sisters, Sharon Wiley of Gainsville, Ga. and Karen Thorpe of Winters; and several nieces and nephews.

Joycelyn Ruth Edmondson
COMANCHE - Joycelyn Ruth Edmondson, 75, died Thursday in a DeLeon hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Hall & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Comanche with the Rev. Jackie Auvenshine officiating. Burial will be in the Sardis Cemetery in Hasse.
Mrs. Edmondson was born in Alexander. She married David Howard Edmondson on June 19, 1954 in Abilene. She retired in 1978 from the Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, where she had worked as a secretary for 20 years. She moved to Comanche in 1982 and was a member of the Comanche First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of Comanche; three daughters, Betty Richardson of Falfurrias, Tommie Joyce Jones of Houston, and Jackie Smith of Fort Worth; three sisters, Zelda Martin of Odessa, Vivian Donoho of Floresville and Effie Oliver of Homer, La.; one brother, Ray Clendenin of Stephenville; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Charlie Wilson Price
EARLY - Charlie Wilson Price, 51, died Thursday in a Temple hospital.
Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today in the Jenkin Springs Cemetery with Benny Allcorn officiating, directed by Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
Mr. Price was born in Fort Clayton in Panama and had been a resident of Brown County most of his life. He had also worked as a computer technician for IBM for several years in California.
Survivors include one sister, Daisy Davis of Baytown, Colo.; one niece; one nephew; two aunts; and three cousins.

Dan Shepherd
STEPHENVILLE - Dan Shepherd, 67, died Friday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 13, at Tarleton State University Student Development Center with the Rev. Gordon Miltenberger officiating. Cremation will follow the memorial service. Arrangements were by Lacy Funeral Home of Stephenville.
Mr. Shepherd was born in Dallas. He married Pat Meacham on Oct. 7, 1954, in Reno, Nev. He was the Printing Center Supervisor at Tarleton State University, where he was also the advisor for Delta Chi Fraternity and the Plowboy Organization. He received the All Purple Award in April, 1997.
Survivors include his wife of Stephenville; his mother, Nina Crimmins of Stephenville; one son, Danny Shepherd of Sacramento, Calif.; one daughter, Dana Anne Weld of Antioch, Calif.; and two sisters, Dolores Miltenberger of Dallas and Margaret Parham of Stephenville.

Mamie Walker Patterson
Mamie Walker Patterson, 89, of Abilene, died Friday at an Abilene nursing center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 14, at the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 U.S. Hwy. 277 South. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Patterson was born in Biardstown in Lamar County. She graduated from high school in Paris, Texas and attended Paris Junior College. She moved to Merkel in 1927, to Abilene in 1936, and to Lawn in 1946. She taught at Blair School for a few years. She was the widow of C.O. "Pat" Patterson Sr., whom she married on Dec. 18, 1936 in Merkel. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Merkel.
Survivors include one son, Dr. C.O. "Pat" Patterson Jr. of College Station; one daughter, Sally Weiss of Halton City; two sisters, Mrs. Velma Johnson of Abilene and Mrs. Robbie Murphy of Buffalo Gap; one grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.

Diane Marie Sausley
Diane Marie Sausley, 58, died Friday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 14, at the Epworth Methodist Church with the Rev. Jonette Gay officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery, directed by Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy. 277 South.
Mrs. Sausley was a past treasurer and member of the Epworth Methodist Church choir.
Survivors include one son, Michael Sausley of Houston, one daughter, Cheryl Mangrum of Abilene; one sister, Judy Lavoie of Abilene; one brother, Murray Pirtle Jr. of Abilene; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Elbert Andrew Hatley
Elbert Andrew Hatley, 87, a previous resident of the area, died Thursday at his residence in Springfield, Mo.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, in the Dudley Cemetery with the Rev. S.C. Lemond officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mr. Hatley was born in Brown County and moved to Vaughn, N.M. with his family. He returned to the Dudley Community, where he farmed until 1955 when he moved to Utah. He returned to Abilene in 1981 and then moved to Springfield, Mo. in 1987. He was the widower of Nellie Birdie Shelnutt, whom he married on Dec. 24, 1933. He had been a truck driver and had pastored a Pentecostal Church of God in Moab, Utah.
Survivors include two sons, Troy Hatley and Dewey Hatley, both of Springfield, Mo.; one brother, Aaron w. Hatley of North Richland Hills; a stepbrother, Andrew Golladay of Big Sandy; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, at the funeral home.

Dean Ervin
BIG SPRING - Dean Ervin, 75, died Saturday.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Rosewood Chapel in Sweetwater. Burial will be in Trinity Memorial Park.
Mr. Ervin was born in Goldthwaite. He married Barbara Ferguson on July 23, 1952 in Dallas. He retired from the T&P Railway in 1984 after 41 years' service, beginning as a Telegraph Operator and retiring as Wire Chief Manager. He served in the U.S. Army in Burma during World War II. He was an Elder for many years at the First Christian Church and was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge of Ranger.
Survivors include his wife of Big Spring; one daughter, Donna Reed of Cedar Park; three sons, Gary Ervin of Garland, Dan Ervin of Abilene, and Neal Ervin of Big Spring; one brother, Max Ervin of Houston; and seven grandchildren.
