Faye Scott Morahan
Faye Scott Morahan, 86, of Abilene, died Monday.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, June 18, in the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with the Rev. Bill Ballou officiating. Graveside committal services will be at 4 p.m. in Woodland Park Cemetery in Mineral Wells.
Mrs. Morahan was born in Mineral Wells in Palo Pinto County. She moved to Abilene from Pecos in 1951. She was the widow of George L. Morahan, whom she married in Aledo on May 31, 1934. He was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist church in Abilene. She was active in the Hendrick Medical Center Volunteer Auxiliary.
Survivors include one sister, Examae Scott of Casper, Wyo.; one sister-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Hazel Bell Lay
MERKEL - Hazel Bell Lay, 91, died Wednesday in a local nursing center.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Merkel with the Rev. Greg Kennedy officiating, directed by Starbuck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lay was born in Merkel. She was the widow of Alvin Lay, whom she married in 1926. She had been a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Big Spring for 50 years and in the Home Demonstration Club since 1930. She was a homemaker and a practical nurse. She was a lay member of the United Methodist Church in Merkel.
Survivors include two daughters, Alice Farris of Irving and Frances Nowaczyk of Abilene; and several nieces and nephews.

Dixie Neal Jones
RANGER - Dixie Neal Jones, 86, died Monday at her home in Virginia.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 18, at Evergreen Cemetery, directed by Edwards Funeral Home of Ranger.
Mrs. Jones was born in Ranger where she attended Ranger High School and Ranger College. She was the widow of Roy D. Jones. She was a homemaker and was active in arts and crafts. She was a member of Calvary Baptist church in Dallas.
Survivors include one son, Richard Neal Jones of Duncanville; one daughter, Jane Ellen Williams of Tazewll, Va.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Katherine Sumner Daniel
MANHATTAN, KAN. - Katherine Sumner Daniel, 84, formerly of Early, died.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 17, in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Early with the Rev. Jess Smith officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Daniel was born in Comanche County. She was the widow of William Paul Daniel, whom she married on May 9, 1942 in Port Arthur. She attended school at Daniel Baker and received a Master's Degree from the University of Houston. She was a retired teacher and principal. She moved from Early to Manhattan, Kan., in 1994.
Survivors include two sons, James W. Daniel of Manhattan, Kan. and Sumner G. Daniel of Madison, Ala.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Laura B. 'Sis' Graham
ASPERMONT - Laura B. "Sis" Graham, 84, died Tuesday in a Big Spring Hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, June 18, at the Aspermont Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Reinbolt officiating, directed by McCoy Funeral Home of Aspermont.
Mrs. Graham was born in Stonewall County. She was the widow of Clarence Elbert Graham, whom she married in 1942 in San Angelo.
Survivors include three sons, Clarence E. Graham Jr. of Big Spring, Gary Ted Graham of Fabens, and Michael Wayne Graham of Tulsa, Okla.; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Jack Hubert Tucker Jr.
EASTLAND - Jack Hubert Tucker Jr., 48, died Tuesday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 18, in the Eastland City Cemetery, directed by Edwards Funeral Home of Eastland.
Mr. Tucker was born in Albuquerque, N.M. and moved with his military family around the United States and the world. He served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam and was also stationed in Germany and the United States. He worked in Sweetwater and Houston before moving back to Eastland in 1976. He was a VCR repairman and a carpet layer.
Survivors include three sons, Owen Ford, Johnny Tucker and Jack Junior Tucker, all of Houston; three daughters, Crystal Lewis Abilene, Amber Tucker of Eastland, and Jacqueline Jean Tucker of Weatherford; five brothers, Monte Tucker, Thomas Tucker, Ralph Tucker, Kenneth Tucker, and Philip Tucker, all of Eastland; two sisters, Glenda Carrol Johnston of Elmer, Okla. and Sandra Orrell of Hodges; four grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Donations to help pay for the funeral may be left at Edwards Funeral Home.

Minnie M. Myers
ASPERMONT - Minnie M. Myers died Wednesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, June 18, at the Peacock Baptist Church with the Revs. J.R. Williams and James Teel officiating. Burial will be in Double Mountain Cemetery, directed by McCoy Funeral Home of Aspermont.
Mrs. Myers was born in Parker County and lived most of her life in Stonewall County. She was the widow of John "Fatie" Myers, whom she married on Oct. 29, 1922. She was a homemaker and a member of the Peacock Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Leona Williams of Paris and Edwinna Hickman of Aspermont; one son, Gwynn Myers of Aspermont; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Isabell 'Noots' Pollock
EARLY - Isabell "Noots" Pollock died Saturday in a San Angelo hospital.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, June 18, at Lee Chapel A.M.E. Church with the Rev. Diggie Hamilton and Elder Aaron Blake officiating. Burial will be in Greenleaf Cemetery, directed by Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
Mrs. Pollock was born in Tunis and later moved to Compton, Calif. She was the widow of Eddie Pollock.
Survivors include one son, Roy Morris of Oakland, Calif; four brothers, Jim Willie Duffie of Los Angeles, Calif., Haywood Duffie of Cameron, and Billy Duffie and Abby Duffie both of Temple; 10 sisters, Esther Duffie of Round Rock, Thelma Duffie, Mildred Davis, Christine Duffie, Darlena Duffie and Bobbie Duffie all of Temple, Martha Duffie and Jessie Mae Duffie both of San Angelo, and Marlena Duffie and Arlena Duffie both of Brownwood; and four grandchildren.

Martha Neeley
Martha Neeley, 74, of Abilene, died Thursday at a local nursing center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 19, at the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 U.S. Hwy. 277 South. Burial will be in the Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories.
Mrs. Neeley was born in Abilene and graduated from school in Patricia, TX. She was the widow of Ralph Neeley, whom she married on May 15, 1966 in Roswell, N.M. She was a caseworker for the Mental Health Mental Retardation and retired in 1992 after more than 20 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star and attended St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one son, Johnny Parham of El Paso; one daughter, Pat Foy of Abilene; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Pablo Garcia
Pablo Garcia, 76, of Abilene, died Thursday at his residence.
A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 19 at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church with the Rev. Joe Uecker officiating. Burial will be in the Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mr. Garcia was born in Devine and moved to Abilene in 1947. He was the widower of Frances Martinez Garcia, whom he married in Sinton in 1946. He was a maintenance man at Burrow Alley from 1973 until 1979 and for several apartment complexes until his retirement. He was a member of St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Rosa Garcia and Mary Ann Stokes both of Abilene; one son, Ted Garcia of Abilene; one sister, Dominga Alvarado of McAllen; two brothers, Mancho Garcia of Christine and Juan Lopez of Dallas; one stepbrother, Pedro Aguero of Abilene; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
