Herman Richburg
HERMLEIGH - Herman Richburg, 83, died Friday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 20, at the Hermleigh Methodist Church. Burial will be in Hermleigh Cemetery, directed by Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home of Snyder.
Mr. Richburg was born in Kaufman County. He married Marlene McQuaid on Nov. 19, 1939 in Roscoe. He was a farmer and a carpenter. He was a member of Hermleigh Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of Hermleigh; two sons, Jay Richburg of Sweetwater and Quaid Richburg of Caldwell; two sisters, Eva Richburg of Sweetwater and Winnie Richburg of Anchorage, Alaska; one brother, Quincy Richburg of Sweetwater; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Gussie Faye Robertson
ROBY - Gussie Faye Robertson, 89, died Friday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2p.m. Sunday, June 20, in the Roby First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mickey Wagoner officiating. Burial will be in Belvieu Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee Funeral Home of Rotan.
Mrs. Robertson was born in Gorman. She was the widow of E.H. "Heck" Robertson, whom she married on April 15, 1933 in Roby. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Frances Upshaw of Rotan, Sharron Chadwick of Abilene, and Lana Brafford of Anson; three sisters, Urma Lee Schick of Rotan, Dale Smith of Fort Worth, and Mildred Callahan of Dallas; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Verenice Bailey
Verenice Bailey, 87, died Friday at a local care center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, at Florida Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Rockledge, Fla. with Tony Ash officiating. Burial will be in Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge. Local arrangements were handled by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Hwy. 277 South.
Mrs. Bailey was born in Texarkana. She moved to Melbourne, Fla. in 1972 from Huntsville, Ala. and had been a resident of Abilene since 1993. She was the widow of Russelle Bailey. She was a retired civil service secretary and a homemaker. She was a member of the Minter Lane Church of Christ in Abilene, and had been active in the Palm Bay Church of Christ and the Melbourne Church of Christ, both in Melbourne, Fla.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Ash of Abilene and Linda Bailey of Huntsville, Ala.; one sister, Rita Bradley of Memphis, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Elvis James Beaver
Elvis James Beaver, 37, died Thursday at a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 21, at the Abilene State School Cemetery with the Rev. Ray Bingham officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mr. Beaver was born in Merkel. He had lived in Abilene all his life and was a resident of the state school.
Survivors include his parents, Johnny and Sue Beaver of Trent; six brothers, Johnny Beaver of Sherman, Billy Beaver and Herbert Beaver of Abilene, Gilbert Beaver of Tye, Richard Beaver of Trent, and Benjamin Beaver of Fort Worth; one sister, Bertha Turner of Abilene; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Claude Hudson
BROWNWOOD - Claude Hudson, 77, died Saturday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 21, at the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Brownwood. Burial will be in Greenleaf Cemetery.
Mr. Hudson was born in Kilmichel, Miss. and had lived in Brownwood for 56 years. He married Ernestine Durham on April 8, 1943, in Brownwood. He was a retired life insurance salesman and a member of the Brownwood First Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had served in the Army National Guard. He had been a rehabilitation counselor at the Brown County Bureau on Alcoholism and was the first manager of the Brown County Museum of History. He operated a service station and garage for many years, and was active in the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife of Brownwood; one daughter, Alysbelle Shero of Brownwood; one brother, Hamilton Hudson of Kilmichel, Miss.; one sister, Rebecca Ray of Kilmichel, Miss.; and two grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Brown County Museum or the Brown County Historical Society, P.O. Box 146, Brownwood, TX 76804.

Aline Cross
SEYMOUR - Aline Cross, 89, died Friday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 4:30 p.m. today at the Seymour Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leo McMahan officiating.
Mrs. Cross was born in Electra. She had lived in Haskell and Knox County before moving to Seymour where she had lived for the past 40 years. She had worked at the Westview Care Center and was a member of the Northeast Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Vernon Winchester of Plano; one sister, Jewell Havran of Munday; one brother, Frank Vojkufka of Lubbock; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Pat Sanders
CAMERON - Pat Sanders, 88, died Thursday at his residence.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 21, in the Cameron First Baptist Church, directed by Hillier Funeral Home of Bryan.
Mr. Sanders was born in Dadeville, Ala. He was a retired bookkeeper in the oil and gas industry. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He had also been a service station operator in Cameron.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Sanders of Cameron; one son, Thomas Sanders of Abilene; one daughter, Jane Kerr of Salado; one sister, Elizabeth Johns of Houston; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Jewel Louise Wilson
Jewel Louise Wilson, 88, of Abilene, died Friday at a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, in the Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. John Knight officiating, directed by Curtis-Starks Funeral Home of Abilene.
Mrs. Wilson was born in Schulenburg, TX. and moved to Abilene in 1923. She graduated from Abilene High School. She married Eddie Lee Wilson on May 26, 1937.
Survivors include her husband of Abilene; five grandchildren; and nieces and cousins.
Visitation will be from 5-6 p.m. Monday, June 21.

Henry D. Ford
EASTLAND - Henry D. Ford, 78, died Saturday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 21, in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Eastland with military honors. Burial will be in the Ford Family Cemetery south of Eastland.
Mr. Ford was born in Eastland. He worked for the B.O. Harrell Garage as a mechanic and moved to California, where he worked for Douglas Aircraft Co. He served as an aircraft engineer in the U.S. Army, working on 24's with the 8th Air Force in England during World War II. He returned to Texas and worked in the oil patch at Big Lake. He married Tena Taylor on April 2, 1951 in New Mexico. After moving to Abilene, he worked for Waukesha-Pearce until his retirement in 1976 when he moved back to Eastland. He opened Ford Magneto Service and operated it until 1986.
Survivors include his wife of Eastland; one daughter, Terri Ford Green of Tyler; one son, Gary Ford of Eastland; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Monday, June 21, prior to services.
