Bobby Ray Stevenson
Bobby Ray Stevenson, 46, of Abilene, died Sunday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 25, at the Bethel Church of God in Christ with Elder Jerry Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mr. Stevenson was born in Abilene, graduated from Abilene High School in 1971, and attended Cisco Junior College. He married Deydra Elliott on Feb. 22, 1974 in Abilene. He had been employed by the City of Abilene for 19 years, and had previously worked as a police officer in Stamford and a deputy constable in Taylor County. He was a member of the Bethel Church of God in Christ.
Survivors include his wife of Abilene; one son, Scott Stevenson of Sweetwater; one daughter, Pamela Stevenson of San Marcos; his mother, Julia Taylor of Abilene; four brothers, Sam Stevenson Jr. of Niceville, Fla., and Howard Stevenson, Billy Stevenson, and Shaine Stevenson all of Abilene; four sisters, Mary A. Stevenson of Arlington, Zetta Lise of Fort Worth, Sandra Scruggs of Rome, N.Y., and Cynthia Washington of Tucson, Ariz.; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at 5243 Lamesa.
Memorials may be made to donor's favorite charity.

Earnest E. Dodd
Earnest E. Dodd, 71, formerly of Abilene, died Sunday at a Porterville, Calif. hospital.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 25, at the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Dodd was born in Huntsville, Mo., where he graduated from high school. He had worked for Wyatt's as a manager in the Dallas area for 20 years before his retirement in 1985. He moved to Abilene in 1989. While living in Huntsville, he was a member of the Lions Club, Oddfellows Lodge, Volunteer Fire Department, and the First Baptist Church. He had also worked in sales.
Survivors include two daughters, Janet Law and Debra Clark both of Abilene; one son, Carl Dodd of Abilene; one brother, Allen Dodd of St. Louis, Mo.; and six grandchildren.

Harley D. 'Pepsi Pete' Fannin
Harley D. "Pepsi Pete" Fannin, 73, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 25, at the Potosi Cemetery, directed by North Funeral Home.
Mr. Fannin was born in Elmdale, where he attended school. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He married Bessie Lou Wise on March 15, 1947. He worked for Ice Company and Pepsi Company of Abilene, and owned Fannin Fencing.
Survivors include his wife of Abilene; one brother, Arther Fannin of Corpus Christi; three sisters, Ruby Brewer and Shirley Reese both of Abilene and Vally Zachary of San Marcus; two sons, David Fannin and Terry Fannin both of Abilene; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Darden V. 'Pete' Stacks
BROWNWOOD - Darden V. "Pete" Stacks, 74, died Monday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, June 25, in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Early with the Revs. John Beckling and Jerry P. Galloway officiating. Burial will be in the Greenleaf Cemetery.
Mr. Stacks was born in Myrtle, Miss., where he graduated from high school and attended Old Mississippi University. He married Dorothy Townsend on May 13, 1945 in Brownwood. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He had been a resident of Brownwood since 1959. He was a former member of the Early Lions Club, Gideons International, and the DAV. He had served on various committees of the Early First United Methodist Church. He had worked in sales.
Survivors include his wife of Brownwood; one daughter, Barbara Howard of Texarkana; one sister, Mildred Franks of Dallas; one grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Early First United Methodist Church Building Fund.

Andrew 'A.J.' McCarley
LORAINE - Andrew "A.J." McCarley, 85, died Monday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 25, at the Loraine First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Glenda Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Rest Cemetery, directed by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home of Colorado City.
Mr. McCarley was born in Mitchell County. He was the widower of Virginia Pearle McIntire McCarley, whom he married in Las Vegas, Nev., in 1947. He was a retired tool and die maker for Lockheed Aircraft in California. He had also owned/operated a dry cleaning business and managed an apartment complex in Idaho. He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the Scottish Rite.
Survivors include one son, Andrew James McCarley of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho; two daughters, Dee Anne Mason of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho and Julayne Le Bas of Reno, Nev.; one sister, Rue Reeves of Loraine; and four grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the donor's local hospice.

Myrl H. Stein
SWEETWATER - Myrl H. Stein, 93, died Tuesday in a local care center.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Sweetwater Cemetery, directed by McCoy Funeral Home of Sweetwater.
Mr. Stein was born in Holland, Mich. He was the widower of Jane Schoder Stein, whom he married in Fort Wayne, Ind. in 1930. He was the former owner/manager of KXOX Radio in Sweetwater, where he had lived since 1956. He was a past member of the Rotary Club and was an Episcopalian.
Survivors include one son, Jack Stein of Sweetwater; one daughter, Jill Shannon of Farmington, N.M.; three half-sisters, Jeanette Leland, Iris Bennett, and Ruth Garms all of Mich.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one niece.

Patsy Miller Norris
HASKELL - Patsy Miller Norris, 50, died Tuesday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 25, at the Weinert First Baptist Church with the Revs. Donny Harbers and Loaurne Garduno officiating. Burial will be in the Weinert Cemetery, directed by Holden-McCauley Funeral Directors of Haskell.
Mrs. Norris was born in Crosbyton. She was a 1967 graduate of Weinert High School and then attended Business College. She had worked for the Texas Department of Transportation as a contract specialist for 21 years. She married Melvin Norris on Aug. 18, 1990 in Abilene. She was a member of the Weinert Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of the home; one son, Shane Cunningham of Carrollton; her father, Hugh Miller of Haskell; one stepson, Jason Norris of Potosi; one stepdaughter, Amanda Bourland of Abilene; one sister, Wanda Hester of Weinert; one brother, Tommy Miller of Tulia; two grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Doris 'Henri' Sargent Moore
SPUR - Doris "Henri" Sargent Moore, 82, died Tuesday in a Lubbock hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Spur First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Burton officiating. Burial will be in the Spur Memorial Cemetery, directed by Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.
Mrs. Moore was born in Haskell County and graduated from McMurry University in Abilene. She was the widow of John F. Moore, whom she married on Jan. 17, 1942 in Paducah. She taught elementary school for 38 years in Spur before retiring. She taught the Little Primary Sunday School Class for many years at the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two brothers, Charles Sargent of Pleasanton and Bob Sargent of Arlington; two sisters, Ouida Shubert and Chat Adams both of Haskell; and several nieces and nephews.

Tommy Buck
COLEMAN - Tommy Buck, 46, died Tuesday at his mother's home in Coleman.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 25, at the Coleman Cemetery Pavilion with the Rev. Reed Justus officiating, directed by Stevens Funeral Home.
Mr. Buck was born in Coleman and graduated from Mozelle High School. He attended Southwest Texas State University for two years before returning to live in Coleman. He was a rancher, musician, and small business owner. He was a member of the Coleman First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Carolyn Buck of Coleman; one sister, Marsha Smith of Victoria; and two nephews.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church or the donor's favorite charity.
