Billie Gene Dye
GARLAND - Billie Gene Dye, 70, died Thursday at his home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 28, in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Merkel with the Rev. Tim Guthridge officiating, directed by Starbuck Funeral Home of Merkel.
Mr. Dye was born in Merkel. He married Agnes Rebar on July 27, 1950 in Sacramento, Calif. He had attended Merkel schools and graduated from Sacramento High School in Sacramento, Calif. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a data processor for Arco Oil & Gas Company for 34 years before retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, secretary of the American Bowling Association, and a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Garland. He was active in Junior Achievement.
Survivors include his wife of Garland; two daughters, Claudia Fouts of Wylie and Carolyn Dye of Garland; one brother, Bob Dye of Houston; and three grandchildren.

Charles Beil Cole
STAMFORD - Charles Beil Cole, 70, died Friday at his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 29, at the Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel in Stamford with David Mickey and Mike Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery. Memorial services in Odessa are planned for a later date.
Mr. Cole was born in Rule. He married Arlene Bennett on Sept. 9, 1949 in Abilene. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a retired sales representative for Benjamin Moore-Kelly Moore and the Monarch paint companies. In 1998 he moved to Stamford from Odessa, where he had lived for over 45 years.
Survivors include his wife of Stamford; two sons, J. Tipton Cole of Austin and Marion Russell Cole of Fort Worth; two daughters, Julia Dale Cole of Austin and Lisa Claire Henson of Odessa; two sisters, Juanita Holland of Odessa and Becie Robbins of Stamford; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Jana R. 'Burt' Dunson
RANGER - Jana R. "Burt" Dunson, 42, died Thursday at her home.
A brief service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 27, at Edwards Funeral Home of Ranger. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. at the Alameda Cemetery.
Mrs. Dunson was born in Ranger. She married David Dunson on Dec. 28, 1974 in Del Rio, TX. She had worked at the Ranger College Cafeteria for 10 years.
Survivors include her husband of Ranger; her mother, Jewell McDowell Reed of Ranger; one daughter, Lisa Davis of Junction City, Kan.; one son, Scott Dunson of Ranger; one sister, Jennifer Alexandra of Saginaw; two brothers, Jim Young of Fort Worth and Jackie Henson of Ranger; and one grandchild.

James O. Kidd
ASPERMONT - James O. Kidd, 76, died Saturday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 28, at the Aspermont Cemetery with the Rev. J.R. William officiating, directed by McCoy Funeral Home of Aspermont.
Mr. Kidd was born in Stonewall County where he was a lifelong resident. He was a member of Peacock Baptist Church and was a retired postmaster. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Leona Kidd of Aspermont; one son, Parker Kidd of Abilene; one daughter, Scarlett Bryant of Lubbock; one sister, Tina Hahn of Oklahoma City, Okla.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Peggy Thomson
Peggy Thomson, 68, of Abilene died Saturday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy. 277 South, with the Rev. Curtis Cadenhead officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Thomson was born in Littlefield and was a member of Elmwood West United Methodist Church, RSVP and Democratic Club. She was past president of A.A.R.P. She married Harold Thomson in 1949.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; three sons, Richard H. Thomson of San Antonio and James David Thomson and Randall Earl Thomson, both of Fort Worth; two brothers, Charles H. Pittillo of Fort Stockton and Jerry F. Pittillo of Crowell; one sister, Elizabeth Ann Vince of Plano; her father, J.R. Pittillo of Crowell; and three grandchildren.

Lucile M. Camp
Lucile M. Camp, 82, of Abilene, died Friday at a local hospital
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Elmwood Memorial Park with the Rev. David Cason officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mrs. Camp was born in Mount Enterprise, where she graduated from high school. She moved to Abilene in 1959 and worked as a private duty nurse, worked at Abilene State School and worked at West Texas Medical Center. She was a member of the Broadview Baptist Church and Rose Park Senior Citizens Center. She was the widow of Earl C. Willis. She married Floyd Camp in 1996 in Abilene.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; one daughter, Carol Williams of Abilene; one stepdaughter, Floydean Dearing of Abilene; one stepson, Tom Camp of Abilene; four brothers, Royce Creel of Atlanta, Ga., Bud Creel and Dick Creel both of Mount Enterprise, and Novell Creel of El Paso; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

Bill Garrett
BRECKENRIDGE — Bill Garrett, 89, died Saturday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Morehart Mortuary chapel with the Rev. Johnny Miller officiating. The body will be cremated.
Mr. Garrett was born in Lovelady and attended school in Parker County. He moved to Breckenridge from Concord, Calif., where he worked as a boilermaker in gas and electric plants. He married Pauline Fern Billingsley in 1937 in Las Vegas, Nev.
Survivors include his wife, of Breckenridge; two daughters, Peggy Barry of Abilene and Billie Harrison of Breckenridge; one son, David Garrett of North Hills, Calif.; two brothers, Mike Garrett and Chester Garrett, both of Sacramento, Calif.; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorials to the American Heart Association may be left at the funeral home.

Herbert Fischer
HASKELL — Herbert Fischer, 88, died Sunday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Gary Bruns officiating. Burial will be in Willow Cemetery, directed by Holden-McCauley Funeral Directors.
Mr. Fischer was born in Jones County and attended Plainview rural school. He was a farmer and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member and president of Trinity Lutheran Church, a member and officer of the Farmer’s Union and past committee chairman for Haskell County Soil Conservation Service. He was a longtime member of Sons of Hermann Lodge and American Legion and served on the Haskell County hospital board. He married Henrietta Druesedow in 1944 in San Diego, Calif.
Survivors include his wife, of Haskell; two daughters, Carolyn Sagebiel of Seguin and Marilyn Johnson of East Tawas, Mich.; two sons, David Fischer of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Dale Fischer of Haskell; and six grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Jeanette Pellizzari
BRECKENRIDGE — Jeanette Pellizzari, 76, died Saturday at a local hospital.
Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Anh Tran officiating. Burial will be in Breckenridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Pellizzari was born in Wylie and was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She married Frank Pellizzari Jr. in 1943 in Monahans.
Survivors include two daughters, Paula Bigham of Frisco and Jean Ann Credicott of Benbrook; two sons, Frank “Trey” Pellizzari III of Sherman and John Pellizzari of Bowie; one brother, Norman Thompson of Monahans; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials to Sacred Heart Catholic Church building fund, Frank Pellizzari Youth Fund, Meals on Wheels, Boy Scouts of America or the Swenson Museum may be left at the funeral home.

Lubena Rumley
CISCO — Lubena Rumley, 83, died Saturday at a Mineral Wells nursing home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Redeemer Lutheran Church with the Rev. Martin Kaufmann officiating. Burial will be in Redeemer Lutheran Cemetery, directed by Kimbrough Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rumley was born in the Word community in Eastland County. She was a seamstress in the dry cleaning industry and a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She married Victor Odell “Mack” Rumley in 1949 in Las Vegas, Nev.; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one sister, Dora Schaefer of Cisco; one niece and two great-nephews.
