Mrs. Eddie (Joe) Trussell
BROWNWOOD — Mrs. Eddie (Joe) Trussell, 98, a music evangelist for more than half a century, died Sunday.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Eastlawn Memorial Cemetery. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with Drs. Don Newberry and Bill Heston officiating, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Trussell was born in Hereford and graduated from Howard Payne College and Southwestern Seminary. She served 10 years as a state-approved intermediate worker and taught intermediates and their workers at Glorieta, Ridgecrest and the Territorial Encampment of Hawaii. She was educational director at Second Baptist Church in Houston and wrote articles for Open Window, Builder and Upward. She was the widow of Dr. Joe Trussell.
Survivors include three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Eddie Trussell Scholarship Fund at Howard Payne University.

Carl Earnest
BROWNWOOD — Carl Earnest, 87, who owned and operated Earnest Paint & Glass for 32 years, died Saturday at a Temple hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Bo Shero officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial park.
Mr. Earnest was born in Salt Creek and lived in Brownwood all his life. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a member of Austin Avenue Church of Christ. He married Lola Lile in 1970 in San Saba.
Survivors include his wife, of Brownwood; one daughter, Patsy Milstead of Brownwod; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one nephew.

Albert Reynolds ‘Sonny’ Chick
BALLINGER — Albert Reynolds “Sonny” Chick, 69, died Friday at his home.
Graveside services were Saturday in Quarter Circle Y Cemetery on his ranch with the Rev. Winford Gore officiating, directed by Rains-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Chick was born in Eldorado and was a farmer-rancher and owned and operated a trucking business.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Beulah Chick of Ballinger; one son, Duane Chick; one daughter, Barbara Jones of Ballinger; three grandchildren, one step-grandchild and one great-granddaughter.

Ellen Kuhler
RHINELAND — Ellen Kuhler, 81, died Sunday at a Seymour hospital.
Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at McCauley-Smith Funeral Home in Munday. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Kevin Fagan officiating. Burial will be in Saint Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
Mrs. Kuhler was born in Munday and lived in Rhineland all her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church and Saint Ann’s Christian Mother’s Society.
She married William Kuhler in 1939 in Rhineland; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Jeanelle Howell of Seymour and Sandra Hajek of Vernon; two brothers, Calvin Steinbach and Frank Steinbach, both of Rhineland; one sister, Hilda Kuhler of Littlefield; and four grandchildren.

Billy Carroll Dunsworth
BROWNWOOD — Billy Carroll Dunsworth, 66, of Palmer and formerly of Brownwood, died Saturday at a Waxahachie nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Greenleaf Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Riley officiating, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mr. Dunsworth was born in Brownwood and had lived in Palmer for two years. He was a retired postal carrier and a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He married Virginia Lee Gay in 1954 in Brownwood; she preceded him in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Sheryl Jean Dunsworth of Palmer; three brothers, Edwin Dunsworth and Wade Dunsworth, both of Brownwood, and Terry Dunsworth of Euless; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-7 p.m. today.

Hillevi Munson Barnes
BROWNWOOD — Hillevi Munson Barnes, 85, of Brownwood and formerly of Georgetown, died Friday at a local nursing home.
The body was cremated, directed by Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
Mrs. Barnes was born in Georgetown and was a nurse in the Georgetown area for many years.
She married John Barnes in Texarkana, Tex., in 1940.
Survivors include one brother, Wilbert Munson of Georgetown; one sister, Hildegard Munson of Austin; one niece and one nephew.

Maggie Wood
COLEMAN — Maggie Wood, 100, died Monday at a local nursing home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Coleman Cemetery.
Mrs. Wood was born in Coleman County, grew up in the Bangs area and attended school at Sand Creek.
She was a homemaker, a member of North Coleman Baptist Church and a longtime member of TOPS Club.
She married Joseph Parmer Wood in 1919 in Childress; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruby Sanges of Coleman and Shirley Jenkins of Big Spring; two sons, Herbert Wood of Coleman and Burlie Wood of Cottonwood, Calif.; one sister, Mary Etta Miller of Comanche; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren
The family will be at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday.

Bessie Sue Munday
MUNDAY - Bessie Sue Munday, 83, died Monday in a local nursing center.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in the Munday First Baptist Church with Dr. H.B. Graves officiating. Burial will be in Johnson Memorial Cemetery, directed by McCauley-Smith Funeral Home of Munday.
Mrs. Munday was born in Munday, where she graduated from high school in 1934. She received her B.S. from North Texas State in 1942 and her B.L.S. from Louisiana State University in 1953. She taught school in Munday during 1943-44. She worked for the Detroit Public Library and the San Angelo County Library prior to moving to Dallas and assuming the responsibilities of the Branch Head at the Pleasant Grove Library in 1963 and retired after 20 years' service. She moved to Abilene in 1984 and to Munday in 1994.
Survivors include one sister, Olga Jim Reid of Munday; one nephew, John Edward Reid of Abilene; and two great-nephews, both of Abilene.

Emma Moseley
BROWNWOOD — Emma B. Moseley, 82, died Sunday at a local nursing home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church with Dr. Steve McMeans officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Park, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Moseley was born in Hamilton County and lived in the Midland area for 38 years before moving to Brownwood in 1976. She was in banking as a teller, customer service and bookkeeper and a member of Coggin Avenue Baptist Church.
She married Joseph Moseley in 1937 in Brownwood.
Survivors include her husband, of Brownwood; one daughter, Betty Jo Conner of Richardson; two sons, Charles Thomas Moseley of Brownwood and Richard Alan Moseley of Houston; one sister, Charlie Mae Heathcock of Arlington; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Coggin Avenue Baptist Church Library Fund or to the donor’s favorite charity.
The family will be at the funeral home from 4-6 p.m. today.
