Donald Pierce Gressett
SNYDER — Donald Pierce Gressett, 68, owner and operator of Lota’ Burger for 42 years before selling the business in 1996, died Tuesday at his home after a sudden illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Snyder First Baptist Church with Dr. Marty Akins officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Memorial Gardens, directed by Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Gressett was born in Sterling City and graduated from Forsan High School in 1948. He attended West Texas State University and married Sara Chanslor on June 28, 1953 in Amarillo. He moved to Snyder in 1955 from Lubbock. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Snyder; one daughter, Kelly Courtney of Snyder; one son, Stephen Gressett of Midland; one sister, Dorothy Pye of Hobbs, N.M.; and four grandchildren.

Lille Belle Miller Wallace
ROSCOE — Lille Belle Miller Wallace, 92, died Tuesday in a Sweetwater hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Roscoe First Baptist Church with Dr. Rick Willis officiating. Burial will be in Roscoe Cemetery, directed by McCoy Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wallace was born in Center and attended school in Brownlee. She moved to the Roscoe area in 1918 from Hurstville. She was a homemaker. She moved to Big Spring in 1930 and later returned to Roscoe, where she and her husband farmed. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was the widow of Barney McCoy Wallace, whom she married on May 31, 1925 in Roscoe.
Survivors include one daughter, Tommie Ruth Wallace of Dallas; one son, Jimmy Boyd Wallace of Big Spring; one sister, Verna Akers of Roscoe; one brother, Maurice Miller of Odessa; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Memorials may be sent to Roscoe First Baptist Church, Roscoe Volunteer Fire Department or a favorite charity.

Annie Floyd
MUNDAY — Annie J. Floyd, 90, cook at Munday Nursing Center for more than 20 years, died Monday in a Seymour hospital.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Johnson Memorial Cemetery with Terry Scott officiating, directed by McCauley-Smith Funeral Home.
Mrs. Floyd was born in Coleman County and moved to Knox County as a child. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and was the widow of Herman Carl Floyd, whom she married on February 12, 1931 in Wilson, Okla.
Survivors include one daughter, LaCresha Phillips of Munday; one son, Harold Floyd of Munday; one sister, Bonnie Glenn of Mesa, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

James Timmins
BROWNWOOD — James C. Timmins, 86, self-employed insurance agent for many years, died Tuesday at his home.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Church of the Good Shepherd. Private burial will be in Greenleaf Cemetery, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mr. Timmins was born in Brownwood, where he was a lifelong resident, and served in the U.S. Navy from 1942-45 and was discharged as a lieutenant commander, senior grade. He was a regional chairman of Texas Association of Insurance Agents and also was a chairman of Brownwood’s planning and zoning board. He was a director of the Brownwood Chamber of Commerce and a charter member of Suez Shrine Temple. He was a longtime trustee of Daniel Baker College and received his 50-year membership pin in 1992 from Blue Lodge 279. He was a member of Masonic Bodies and the Kiwanis Club. He was active in Boy Scouts, having helped form a Cub pack den and Boy Scout troop. He was a charter member of Church of the Good Shepherd and was a senior warden. He was the widower of Ellen Yantis Timmins, whom he married in 1939.
Survivors include one daughter, Susan Timmins of Brownwood; one son, J.Y. “Jay” Timmins of Brownwood; and two grandchildren.

Emma Lu McCann
CISCO — Emma Lu McCann, 45, of Odessa, died Sunday in Odessa.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Oakwood Cemetery with the Rev. Charles West officiating, directed by Kimbrough Funeral Home.
Mrs. McCann was born in Odessa. She married Wayland Troy McCann on February 14, 1987 in Odessa and worked as a house parent for Texas Mental Health-Mental Retardation. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Odessa.
Survivors include her husband, of Odessa; her grandmother, Ruby Cree Voltko of Odessa; and several nieces and nephews.

Jack Moore
Jack B. Moore, 97, died Sunday in Taylor.
The body will be donated to science.
Mr. Moore was born in Bonham and married his wife in Coleman. He was a longtime Abilene businessman.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Moore of Abilene; one daughter, June Ford of Taylor; one sister, Mabel McAlister of Abilene; and several grandchildren.

Richard Allen Frazier
Richard Allen Frazier, 52, died Tuesday in a local nursing home.
A memorial service will be from 6:30-8 p.m. today at 426 Peach. The body will be cremated and burial will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart. Arrangements are being made by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mr. Frazier was born in Dalhart and moved to Abilene in 1962. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Dalhart.
Survivors include his mother, Ruby Cash Frazier of Abilene; five brothers, Gordon J. Frazier of Oklahoma City, Larry L. Frazier of Amarillo, and Raymond L. Frazier, Ronald D. Frazier and Michael D. Frazier, all of Abilene; two sisters, Desirie D. Ries and Geri R. Johnston, both of Abilene; and many nieces and nephews.

Herbert 'Herb' Stoecker Jr.
Herbert "Herb" Stoecker Jr., 72, owner and operator of Stoecker Plumbing for more than 45 years, died Monday at his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Grace Lutheran Church with the Rev. Arthur Lowe officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Winters, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mr. Stoecker was born in Winters, where he graduated from high school in 1943, and was a seaman first class with the U.S. Navy. He was a master plumber and moved to Abilene in 1966. He was a member of Knights of Pythias and Grace Lutheran Church, and was the widower of Ruby E. Clark Stoecker, whom he married on September 20, 1946 in Memphis, Tenn.
Survivors include two sons, William H. Stoecker of De Witt, Ark., and Steven Stoecker of Benbrook; three daughters, Kay Richardson of Big Spring, Becky McReynolds of Abilene and Ruthie Kissick of Irving; one brother, Paul Stoecker of Winters; three sisters, Naomi Givens of Lubbock, Ruth Shriver of Abilene and Nadine Bedford of Winters; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Bula May Davis
TUSCOLA - Bula May Davis, 83, employed by Allsup's for 14 years until retiring in 1994, died Monday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Tuscola First Baptist Church with Steve Parker and the Rev. Wayne Heinze officiating. Burial will be in Tuscola Cemetery, directed by Fry-Bartlett Funeral Home.
Mrs. Davis was born in Iowa Park and moved to Hartford, Ark. in 1950. She worked at Wal-Mart in Fort Smith, Ark. until moving to Tuscola in 1971. She was a member of Moro Baptist Church and was the widow of L.H. Davis, whom she married on March 13, 1950 in Greenwood, Ark.
Survivors include one son, Keith Davis of Tuscola; one daughter, Martha Jo Tyler of Humble; one brother, Jerry Waller of Sugarland; two sisters, Irene Brock of Dallas and Jackie Patterson of Ennis; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
