Blanch Northrup Barrett, 87, of Abilene died Sunday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church chapel with Dr. Chris Diebel officiating. Private graveside services will be in Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by North’s Funeral Home, 242 Orange.
Ms. Barrett was born and grew up in Abilene and was a self-employed seamstress. She was a member of Tuesday Ladies Bible and Quilting Class at Highland Church of Christ and was a lifetime member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Helen Phipps of Mineral Wells; two brothers, Merlin Northrup of Richardson and Horace Northrup of Tuscola; three sisters, Frances Ruth of Miami, Fla., Marjorie Lovelady of Abilene and Ruby Clarke of Claremore, Okla.; five grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6:30-8 p.m. today.

Johnnie Mae McLamore
Abilenian since 1942
Johnnie Mae McLamore, 94, died Monday at a local nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at North’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange, with Bruce Morris officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. McLamore grew up in Purdon and moved to Abilene in 1942. She worked for Supreme Cleaners for more than 20 years before retiring.
She was the widow of Willie Anderson and Willie L. McLamore.
Survivors include two sons, Dean Anderson and Harlan McLamore, both of Abilene; one daughter, Bertha Wheeler of Abilene; 24 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

Rev. Eduarda ‘Eddie’ Campos
Local minister
The Rev. Eduarda Campos, 74, died Sunday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy. 277 South, with the Rev. Ben Gonzalez officiating.
Mrs. Campos was born in Austin and moved to Abilene in 1949. She ministered to Temple El Sendero de la Cruz and, after retiring, was a homemaker. She married Domingo Campos in 1941 in Austin.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; four sons, Frank Campos of Garland and David Campos, Joe Campos and Richard Campos, all of Abilene; two daughters, Sally Perales of Grand Prairie and Rebecca Solis of Abilene; three sisters, Lupe Banda of Victoria and Paula Benites and Esperansa Reyna, both of Austin; three brothers, Emilio Torres and Alberto Torres, both of Austin, and Benito Torres of Grand Prairie; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Guadalupe Rodriguez

Guadalupe C. Rodriguez, 81, died Sunday at a local hospital.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Abilene Funeral Home Chapel of Hope, 3349 N. 12th. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church with the Rev. Nilo Nalugon officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Anson.
Mrs. Rodriguez was born in Cameron and moved to Abilene from Anson in 1982. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church.
She married Nazario Rodriguez in 1934 in Cameron; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include five sons, Pete Rodriguez Sr., Frank Rodriguez Sr., Margrito Rodriguez, Valentin Rodriguez Sr. and Nazario Rodriguez Jr., all of Abilene; two daughters, Theresa Garcia of Anson and Martha Rodriguez of Abilene; two sisters, Juanita Porras of Wink and Irmenia Meza of California; 33 grandchildren, 77 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

James Otto Regeon II
Marine Corps veteran, baker
James Otto Regeon II, 48, of Abilene died Monday at a local nursing center.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Tye Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Matta officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mr. Regeon was born in Abilene and attended school in Abilene and Dallas. He was a Marine Corps veteran and also owned and operated a bakery in California.
He moved to Abilene from California in 1992.
Survivors include one son, James Otto Regeon III of Cypress, Calif.; one daughter, December Regeon of Ennis; two brothers, James Bryant Regeon of Madera, Calif., and Gary Dale Regeon of Brady; four sisters, Shirley Roys of Merkel, Glenda Baker of Clyde and Debbie Bannister and Melody Boyd, both of Abilene; one granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

Walter Chessmore

FORT WORTH — Walter E. Chessmore, 89, died Sunday at his home after a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Edge Park United Methodist Church with the Revs. Cal Hoffman, Harold Rucker and Frank Leach officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Land Memorial Park, directed by Thompson’s Harveson & Cole Funeral Home.
Mr. Chessmore was born in Jones, Okla., and had lived in Fort Worth for 34 years. He graduated from Sumner, Okla., High School and from Oklahoma A&M University (now Oklahoma State University) in 1938.
He worked with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Soil Conservation Service for more than 40 years in Oklahoma, Texas and Nebraska, retiring in 1978 as head of the Employee Development Unit in the regional office in Fort Worth.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Edge Park United Methodist Church, SCS Alumni of North Texas, Association of Retired Soil Conservation Employees, Soil and Water Conservation Society and National Association of Federal Retirees. He was the widower of Mildred Bynum Chessmore.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille Rucker Chessmore, formerly of Abilene; two daughters, Nita Sue Bertsche of Marietta, Ga., and Karen Freeman of Arlington; two brothers, Roy Chessmore of Idabel, Okla., and Charles Chessmore of Stillwater, Okla.; one sister, Fern Cooper of Palestine, Tex.; three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Permanent Endowment Fund of Edge Park United Methodist Church, 5616 Crowley Road, Fort Worth 76134.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.

Floyd Guice
World War II veteran
CLYDE — Floyd L. Guice, 79, died Sunday at an Abilene care center.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Joplin officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene, directed by Bailey Funeral Home.
Mr. Guice was born in Eden and grew up and attended school at Doole. He attended Tarleton State University and Pierce College in Canoga Park, Calif. He was an inspector for Bendix Corporation (later Allied Signal Corporation) from 1961 until retiring in 1983. He moved to Clyde from Abilene in 1983. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a member of First Baptist Church. He married Annie Lee Baumgartner in 1973 in Van Nuys, Calif.
Survivors include his wife, of Clyde; one son, John Leslie Guice of Dallas; one stepson, Edward Francis Baumgartner of Recita, Calif.; one daughter, Jody Patterson of Rusk; one stepdaughter, Mareth Anne Watters of Palmdale, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-7:30 p.m. today.

William ‘Billy’ Carson Walters Jr.

BROWNWOOD — William “Billy” Carson Walters Jr., 63, died Sunday.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Windham Cemetery in Brown County with the Revs. Jimmy Allen, Dan Wright and Bob Ferguson officiating, directed by Heartland Funeral Home.
Mr. Walters was born in the Byrds community and moved to Harbor Point, Lake Brownwood, in 1985 from Coleman. He was a carpenter and a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. He married Peggy Jo Saltsman in 1957 in San Diego, Calif.
Survivors include his wife, of Brownwood; three sons, Jim Walters and Bobby Walters, both of May, and Billy Jo Walters of Brownwood; three daughters, Sherry Powers and Charity Walters, both of Brownwood, and Joy Mitchell of Bangs; five brothers, Lee Walters, Mackie Walters and Leslie Walters, all of Coleman, Cecil Walters of Hawley and Truman Walters of Sunray; five sisters, Molly Davis and Mary Davis, both of Muleshoe, Neomi Sprouse of West Virginia, Sherry Nation of Gilmer and Patricia Henderson of Coleman; 15 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
