BROWNWOOD - Allie M. Horton, 75, lifelong local resident, died Friday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Bangs Cemetery.
Mrs. Horton was born in Bryan and was a homemaker. She was the widow of Gerald K. Horton, whom she married in 1948 in Brownwood.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Sauseda of Brownwood and Janice Richter of Belton; two sons, Kenneth Horton of May and Chester Horton of Brownwood; two sisters, Connie Butler of California and Mollie Smith of Andrews; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Maurey Wilkerson
Longtime beautician
SPUR - Maurey Wilkerson, 79, beautician for many years, died Thursday in Lubbock.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Girard Cemetery with the Rev. Ned Hicks officiating, directed by Campbell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wilkerson was born in Dickens County. She lived in Dickens and Kent County most of her life. She was a Baptist and was the widow of A.C. Wilkerson, whom she married in 1950 in Clovis, N.M.
Survivors include four nieces.

Elfrieda 'Fritzie' Gordon
Longtime seamstress
MILES - Elfrieda "Fritzie" Gordon, 84, died Friday in Ballinger.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday in Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Miles Cemetery, directed by Johnson's Funeral Home of San Angelo.
Mrs. Gordon was born in Walburg and worked as an alterations seamstress for many years at Maurice's and Gabriel's, both in San Angelo. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was the widow of Elmer "Ike" Gordon, whom she married in 1939 in Miles.
Survivors include two sons, Don Gordon of Lubbock and Rodney Gordon of Ballinger; one sister, Hilda Gordon of Miles; three brothers, Slim Granzin and Shorty Granzin, both of Miles, and Bob Granzin of Baton Rouge, La.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Francis Xavier Crump
Flight line mechanic
FORT WORTH - Francis Xavier Crump, 75, formerly of Stamford, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in St. Paul Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Messman officiating, directed by Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. in Bethel Lutheran Churchyard Cemetery in Ericksdahl with the Rev. Gary Bruns officiating, directed by Tankersley Funeral Home of Stamford.
Mr. Crump was born in Stamford and married Nadine Elizabeth Haley in 1944. He worked as a flight line mechanic for Lockheed Martin for 39 years until retiring.
Survivors include his wife, of Fort Worth; one son, Norman Crump of Fort Worth; one daughter, Jamie Weaver of Haskell; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
D.R. Schultz
Longtime painting contractor
MERKEL - D.R. Schultz, 66, self-employed painting contractor for 35 years, died Friday in an Abilene hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Bigbee officiating, directed by Starbuck Funeral Home.
Mr. Schultz was born in Meridian and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Schultz and David Schultz, both of Bridgeport; three daughters, Becky Gann and Rhonda Hill, both of Merkel, and Loretta Boyd of Abilene; two brothers, Harvey Schultz of Merkel and Leroy Schultz of Tyler; three sisters, Dorothy Fay Warren and Marie Goode, both of Merkel, and Viola Hudson of Las Vegas, Nev.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Joani Lee Barnes
Joani Lee Barnes, 21, of California and formerly of Abilene, died Wednesday in Chico, Calif.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Broadview Baptist Church with the Rev. David Cason officiating. Burial will be in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Ms. Barnes was born in Ogden, Utah, and graduated from Cooper High School. She attended Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches and worked as an office manager for a cleaning service. She moved to California in 1999 and was a member of Order of the Eastern Star and Broadview Baptist Church.
Survivors include her parents, Terry and Ingrid Barnes of Abilene; two sisters, Christy Davis and Jennifer Barnes, both of Abilene; two stepbrothers, William Duran of Missouri and Karl Duran of Anaheim, Calif.; her grandparents, Robert L. and Christine Barnes of San Angelo; her great-grandmother, Nadine Connally of Abilene; two nephews; and several aunts and uncles.

Lillian Chancey
Lillian S. Chancey, 84, co-owner of Chancey Equipment Co. for 40 years until retiring in 1980, died Friday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Elmwood Memorial Park with Dr. Cliff Stewart officiating, directed by Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 U.S. Hwy 277 South.
Mrs. Chancey was born in Breckenridge and graduated from Moran High School. She attended Draughons Business College and married H.R. Chancey Jr. in 1948 in Abilene. She was a Presbyterian.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; two sons, Rand Chancey and Clay Chancey, both of Dallas; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Aubrey 'A.K.' Kenneth Brown
Aubrey "A.K." Kenneth Brown, 86, died Friday in a local hospital.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Monday in Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 U.S. Hwy 277 South. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with Msgr. Fred Nawarskas officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Brown was born in Gorman, where he attended school, and married Bonnie J. Austin in 1935 in Baird. He moved to Abilene in 1939. He worked as a truck driver for Sunset Motor Lines and East Texas Motor Freight for 40 years until retiring. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; three sons, Kenneth L. Brown of Hurst, Donald Brown of Dallas and John R. Brown of Van Alstyne; two daughters, Barbara Dunn and Ginger K. Smith, both of Abilene; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Jesse Lou Mann
RANGER - Jesse Lou Mann, 76, died Thursday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Orsini officiating. Burial will be in Mount Marion Cemetery.
Mr. Mann was born in Mingus, where he attended school, and served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was employed as a tool and die maker by Bell Helicopter and FMC Machine Shop, both in Euless. He also worked in Guam and Alaska. He married Frances Pinson in 1978 in Las Vegas, Nev.
Survivors include his wife, of Ranger; three brothers, Jeff Mann of Stephenville, W.R. "Shorty" Mann of Ranger and Lee Roy "Froggy" Mann of Mingus; one half-brother, Arthur Wayne Mann of Wickett; one stepbrother, Bobby Green; one half-sister, Martha Jane Singer of Abilene; one stepsister, Will Tibbletts of Mingus; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Sherry Eason Chaffin
Sherry Eason Chaffin, 64, formerly of Abilene, died Wednesday in an Odessa hospital.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Elmwood Memorial Park with the Rev. H.B. Terry officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 U.S. Hwy 277 South.
Mrs. Chaffin was born in Taylor County and attended Wylie High School. She moved from the Abilene area in 1965 and was a former member of Corinth Baptist Church in Abilene.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Chaffin of Odessa; one son, Brad Chaffin of Odessa; one daughter, Pamela Clark of Memphis, Tenn.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
