BROWNWOOD — Sherry Richardson Mobley, 63, died Tuesday, December 7, 1999 at her home.
Services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with William Pherigo officiating. Burial in Greenleaf Cemetery, directed by Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
Mrs. Mobley was born in Brownwood and lived there all her life. She was a bus driver for Brownwood Independent School District and was a member of Sunset Baptist Church.
Survivors include, Tony Allison of Austin, Billy Mobley, Michael Mobley, John Mobley, all of Brownwood; three daughters, Melinda Hanson of Wyoming, Regina Tijerina and Stacy Diaz of Brownwood; six brothers, Johnny Richardson, Wesley Richardson, Jo Bob Richardson, all of Brownwood, Jimmy Cotton, Dennis Richardson, both of Fort Worth, Bryan Richardson of Lampasas; four sisters, Linda Higginbotham of Monahans, Judy Long, Mona Williams, Lisa Richardson, all of Brownwood; 14 grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Nolan Odell Tidwell
EARLY — Nolan Odell Tidwell, 73, died Wednesday, December 8, 1999 at his home.
Services are at 3 p.m. Friday at Trinity Chapel in Early with Rev. Dan Chapman officiating. Burial in Eastlawn Memorial Park, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home in Brownwood.
Mr. Tidwell was born in Clarksville and married Judith Waters in 1996. He was owner and operator of Tidwell Dirt & Paving and had lived the past 20 years in Early. He was a member of Trinity Chapel Church of Early.
Survivors include his wife, of Early; eight sons, Larry Tidwell of View, Mike Tidwell and Paul Tidwell of Early, Charles Steven Tidwell and Tony Mark Tidwell of Ennise, Tommy Tidwell of Katy, James Tidwell and Garron Johnson of Brownwood; four daughters, Debra Bush of Bazora, Shelley Lowery and Tammy Welker of Brownwood, Dewana Jeffcoat of Andrews; five brothers, Jimmy Tidwell, Joe Tidwell, Charlie Tidwell, Leon Tidwell, Coy Tidwell; two sisters, Mary Bell, Janice Woods; 25 grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

GORMAN — Brady Thomas Thornhill, infant, died Sunday, December 5, 1999 at his home.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Carbon officiated by Bro. Mike Hill, directed by Nowlin Funeral Home in De Leon.
Survivors include his mother, Brandi Stone Thornhill of Gorman; father, Britt Thornhill of San Antonio; one brother, Brenden Thornhill of Gorman; grandparents, Shirley and John Stone of Carbon, Ralph and Janie Thornhill of Abilene; great grandparents, Zola Henson of Eunice, N.M., Dr. and Mrs. Fred Spencer of Brownwood, Mary Louise Hill and Peggy Thornhill, both of Abilene, Ruth Nicholson of Big Spring.

Dorothy James Barlow
HOUSTON — Dorothy James Barlow, 98, died Saturday, December 4, 1999.
Burial in Prairie Lea Cemetery, directed by Memorial Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery.
Mrs. Barlow was born in Abilene and she attended Abilene Christian High School and Bryn Mawr College. She married Thomas Jefferson Barlow in 1921, and lived her life in Abilene, El Paso, Brenham, and Houston. She attended Church of the Heavenly Rest in Abilene, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Brenham, and St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Houston.
Survivors include one son, Thomas James Barlow of Houston; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two nephews.

Genero Cabrera
EARLY — Nolan Odell Tidwell, 73, died Wednesday, December 8, 1999 at his home.

Mr. Cabrera was born in 1907 in Gomez Palacio, Mexico. He worked in Rotan for many years as a gardener and maintenance man for the Lance Theater and the First National Bank.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa Garcia of Ballinger; three sons, Genero Cabrera Jr. of Lubbock, Daniel Cabrera of San Angelo, Tony Cabrera of Ballinger; six daughters, Frances Saldana of Seminole, Nancy H. Dickson of Ft. Walton Beach, Fl., Josie Rodriquez of Fort Worth, Stella Nombrano, Alice Molina, Cynthia Martinez, all of Ballinger; 38 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.

P.G. Beauchamp, Sr.
RULE — P.G. Beauchamp, Sr., 91, of Rule and formerly of Brownfield, died Tuesday, December 7, 1999 at his home.
Services are at 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church in Rochester with Elder Dale Turner and Rev. Scott Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in Rochester Cemetery, directed by McCauley-Robinson Funeral Directors.
Mr. Beauchamp was born in Haskell County and grew up in Haskell. He married Bertie McNeil in 1926 in Anson and moved to Brownfield in 1952 where he worked as farmer and a carpenter. He retired in 1974 and had been a resident of Rule since 1982. He was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church in Rule.
Survivors include his wife, of Rule; two daughters, Ada Pope of Haskell, Joyce Hester of Rule; two sons, Jim Beauchamp of Rochester, Larry Beauchamp of Round Rock; two sisters, Mary Qualls of Ben Brook, Ruth Gardner of Monrovia, Ca.; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; five great- great grandchildren.

Ruth Karl Hothan Jennings
Ruth Karl Hothan Jennings, 78, died Saturday at her home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at North's Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 4002 Buffalo Gap Road, with the Rev. Don Cauble officiating.
Mrs. Jennings was born in Novice and moved to Ovalo as a child. She graduated from Ovalo High School in 1937 and attended Texas Tech and Hardin-Simmons universities. She moved to Abilene in 1943 and was a charter member of Beta Sigma Phi and the Jaycettes. She retired from Abilene State School in 1976 and was a 50-year member of South Side Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school. She married Fred Jennings in 1940 in Ovalo.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; one son, Bryan Jennings of San Antonio; and one brother, Bill Hothan of Abilene.

E. Lucile Payne
E. Lucile Payne, 89, of Abilene died Sunday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Perry, Okla., with the Rev. Lynn Scott officiating. Burial will be in Ceres Cemetery in Noble County, Okla. Local arrangements were handled by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mrs. Payne was born in Indian Territory (Oklahoma), attended elementary school in Bowden, Okla., and graduated from Perry High School. She was a salesperson for Penny's, Lerner's and Newman's Department Store and was manager of the Holly Shop in Enid, Okla. She was a member of Central Christian Church in Enid. She was a salesperson for O'Falks and Haber's in Tampa, Fla., and was a member of First Christian Church in Tampa. She moved to Abilene from Tampa in 1995. She was the widow of Leedy Mason and Warren W. Payne; she married the latter in 1947 in Arkansas.
Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Marsh of Abilene; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two nephews.

William Row
William O. Row, 64, of Abilene died Sunday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 4:30 p.m. today at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel, 542 Hickory, with the Rev. H.B. Terry Jr. officiating.
Mr. Row was born in Van Buren, Ark., and moved to the Abilene area in 1993. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired from the military and was a self-employed plumber. He was a Baptist, a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6873 and a member of American Legion Post 57 and NCO Association. He was the widower of LaRue Row.
Survivors include three daughters, Cathy Moreland of Jacksonville, Fla., Billie Witte of Oak Grove, Ky., and Teresa Sutton of Abilene; three brothers, Shelton Row of Broomfield, Colo., Eugene Row of Palmdale, Calif., and Robert M. Row of Texarkana; two sisters, Clara Darby of Abilene and Catherine Suggs of Van Buren; his stepmother, Girlie Row of Van Buren; and four grandchildren.

Glen Edward Thornton
Glen Edward Thornton, 73, of Abilene died Sunday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with Dwight Robards, Overton Faubus and Farrell Hogg officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Thornton was born in Abilene, attended Central Elementary and graduated from Abilene High School in 1941. He attended Texas Christian University and Abilene Christian University. He owned a service station until retiring in 1981. He worked for Auto Part Mart, which he managed for two years, and Western Auto until July 1996. He was a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He married Billie Jeffress in 1949 in Abilene.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; two daughters, Kathy Norton of Waco and Kerry Wicker of Abilene; three sisters, Cleo Dowdy of Abilene and Rubie Meredith and Betty Andrews, both of Clyde; and five grandchildren.
