Gene Turner
COLEMAN - Gene Turner, 65, of Abilene died Sunday at an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Henderson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Herb Wood officiating. Burial will be in Santa Anna Cemetery.
Mrs. Turner was born in Santa Anna and grew up in Slaton, where she graduated from high school in 1949. She lived in Odessa and Coleman most of her life and was past president of Coleman Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. She was a Baptist and employed in retail sales. She married Henry Turner in Midland in 1984.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; two sons, Walter Robbins of Odessa and Martin Robbins of Brownwood; her mother, Ruby Box of Santa Anna; one sister, Sue Titsworth of Coleman; two brothers, Don Pritchard of Santa Anna and Robert Pritchard of Brownwood; and six grandchildren.

Harold Thomas
BROWNWOOD - Harold C. Thomas, 72, died Sunday at his home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Davis-Morris Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Green officiating. Burial will be in Greenleaf Cemetery.
Mr. Thomas was born in Levita and lived in Brownwood most of his life. He was a retired baker and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church. He married Barbara Rippetoe in 1946 in Brownwood.
Survivors include his wife, of Brownwood; three daughters, Sheryl Forrest of Dallas, Debbie Jester of Lewisville and Pam Willson of Brownwood; one brother, Jerry Thomas of Abilene; one sister, Nancy Montgomery of Duluth, Ga.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-7:30 p.m. today.

Randy Neil Graves
COLEMAN - Randy Neil Graves, 42, of Santa Anna died Saturday at an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dick Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Coleman Cemetery.
Mr. Graves was born in Stanton, where he grew up and attended school. He moved to Coleman in 1991 and moved to Santa Anna recently. He had worked in the oil fields and managed Wal-Mart and the Trade Winds Motel in Coleman. He was attending Angelo State University and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He married Candace Beard in 1982 in Abilene.
Survivors include his wife, of Coleman; one son, Kevin Graves of Coleman; one daughter, Shawna Graves of Coleman; one stepson, Brian Harris of Abilene; his mother, Pauline Graves of Santa Anna; three brothers, David Graves of Germany, Billy Graves of Georgetown and Johnny Graves of Denton; one sister, Barbara Presley of Abilene; a grandmother, Vera Thurman of Midland; and numerous other relatives.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.

Raymond Blakely Rush
COLEMAN - Raymond Blakely Rush, 86, of Talpa, a 30-year member of the Talpa school board, died Saturday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jeff Robinett officiating. Burial will be in Talpa Cemetery, directed by Walker Funeral Home.
Mr. Rush was born in Coleman, graduated from Coleman High School and attended Abilene Christian College. He was a retired building contractor and rancher and was an elder at First Presbyterian Church for many years. He was director of the Texas Sheep and Goat Raisers Association and a member of Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association. He married Frances Livingston in 1930 in Dallas.
Survivors include his wife, of Talpa; two daughters, Peggy Blake of Midland and Ginger Sneed of Talpa; two sons, Tommy Rush of Talpa and Mike Rush of Austin; two sisters, Mary Catherine Rush of Coleman and Lois Hobrecht of Canyon Lake; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the West Texas Rehabilitation Center in Abilene.

John Earl Bryant
SWEETWATER - John Earl Bryant, 40, died Saturday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Carl Thorell officiating. Burial will be in Sweetwater Cemetery.
Mr. Bryant was born in Sweetwater, where he lived all his life. He was a carpenter and a member of Highland Heights United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his parents, John T. and Betty Bryant of Sweetwater; one sister, Deborah Gilmore of Sweetwater; a niece, a nephew and several other relatives.

Polly Martinez
ROTAN - Polly Martinez, 80, died Sunday at a local health care center.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Weathersbee Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Johnrose Hayden officiating. Burial will be in Rotan Cemetery.
Mrs. Martinez was born in Fisher County, where she lived all her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and St. Joseph Catholic Church. She married Joe Martinez in 1952 in Roby; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Joe Bob Martinez of El Paso; three daughters, Cecilia Mitchell of Rotan, Mary Grace Carrillo of Rotan and Margie Martinez of Snyder; two sisters, Rosa DeLeon of Rotan and Beatrice Cantu of Rowlin Heights, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

Irene (Mrs. L.B.) Griffin
COLEMAN - Irene (Mrs. L.B.) Griffin, 85, of Fisk died Sunday at a local nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Walker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Bangs Cemetery.
Mrs. Griffin was born in Sardis, Okla., and lived in Coleman County most of her life. She was a nurse at Coleman Hospital for many years and was a member of Central Baptist Church. She married L.B. Griffin in Brownwood in 1928; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include three daughters, Geneva Hallonquist of Pasadena, Marcy Otts of Coleman and Kristi Griffin of Glen Cove; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church, 201 W. Mesquite, Coleman 76834.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.

W.D. Eades
ROTAN - W.D. Eades, 82, died Sunday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Werth Mayes officiating. Burial will be in Snyder City Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee Funeral Home.
Mr. Eades was born in Collin County and moved to Rotan from Snyder in 1947. He retired in 1979 after 33 years with National Gypsum Co. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He married Lucille Brinkley in 1939 in Colorado City.
Survivors include his wife, of Rotan; one son, Mac Eades of Houston; one daughter, Barbara McElmon of Garland; three brothers, Sheridan Eades of Denton, Frank Eades of Hobbs, N.M., and Ralph Eades of Snyder; and two grandchildren.

Jolene Williams Crow
Jolene Williams Crow, 68, died Friday in Portland.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Westgate Church of Christ with Doug Reeves and Tommy Shaver officiating. Burial will be in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mrs. Crow was born in Abilene and graduated from Abilene High School in 1946. She married Bill Crow in 1948 in Abilene and was a homemaker. She moved from Abilene in 1959. She lived in Portland, where she was a member of Portland Church of Christ and Gateway Church of Christ, and in 1992 returned to Abilene, where she was a member of Westgate Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; two daughters, Crystal Steele of Jackson, Tenn., and Carrie Hunnicutt of Fort Worth; one sister, Flosi Stovall of Abilene; four grandchildren; and one niece and one nephew.
Visitation will be from 3:30-5:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Otis Guy Adams
Otis Guy Adams, 66, died Saturday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Southwest Park Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Woodard officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 U.S. Hwy 277 South.
Mr. Adams was born in Brady and married Janis Poor in 1950 in Abilene. He worked for Continental Oil Co. for five years and the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier for 30 years before retiring. He was a member of National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 950 in Abilene and was a deacon at Southwest Park Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; two sons, Doug Adams of Gallup, N.M., and David Adams of Houston; one daughter, Judy Duran of Albuquerque, N.M.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
