Roy Lee
Roy E. Lee, 77, died Thursday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with the Rev. H.B. Terry Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Clyde Cemetery.
Mr. Lee was born in Milsap and married Gladys June Warren in 1943 in Clyde. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and moved to Abilene in 1952 from Weatherford. He worked for 15 years as a stone cutter and layout man for Clemmer Monument Works. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2012 and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; two sons, David Harold Lee of Abilene and Jim Bob Lee of Euless; four brothers, Rhea Lee of Mineral Wells, R.D. Lee of Weatherford, and Dewey Lee and Jack Lee, both of Cleburne; one sister, Clara Pewitt of Arlington; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4:30-6 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Lois Savell
CLYDE - Lois A. Savell, 80, of Abilene and formerly of Clyde, died Friday in an Abilene nursing home.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Riley Fugitt officiating. Burial will be in Clyde Cemetery.
Mrs. Savell was born in Desdemona, where she attended school. She attended Draughon's Business School in Abilene and was a homemaker. She was a member of Clyde First Baptist Church and was the widow of Lee Savell, whom she married in 1938 in Anson.
Survivors include one brother-in-law, Jim Savell of Abilene; one cousin, Olena Smedley of Clyde; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews.

M.H. 'Bob' Joy
BAIRD - M.H. "Bob" Joy, 81, died Friday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Baird First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Willoughby officiating. Burial will be in Admiral Cemetery, directed by Parker Funeral Home.
Mr. Joy was born in Cottonwood and married Louise Davis in 1936 in Abilene. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and worked as the Callahan County tax-assessor collector in the late 1940s. He moved to Baird in 1958 from Admiral and was employed as a department head by Texas Mental Health-Mental Retardation. He was a longtime summer league baseball coach in Baird and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Baird; three sons, Bob M. Joy of Cresson, and Terry E. Joy and Eric N. Joy, both of Baird; two sisters, Katherine Winchester of Cisco and Bobbie Nell Brown of Pioneer; one brother, R.F. Joy Jr. of Cross Plains; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Edwin Gale Phy
SNYDER - Edwin Gale Phy, 78, Snyder educator for 22 years, died Friday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Snyder Cemetery with the Rev. Billy Johnson officiating, directed by Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Phy was born in Hobart, Okla., and grew up in Gotebo, Okla., Mesa, Ariz., and Phillips, Texas. He graduated from Hardin-Simmons University and married Mary Elizabeth Brown in 1940 in Fort Worth. He was a high school band director in Menard and, during World War II, was a member of the Air Force Band. He also was a high school band director and school photographer in Big Lake and Fort Stockton. He moved to Snyder in 1956 and taught English and history at Snyder Junior High. He was in charge of the audio-visual department and drove a school bus before retiring in 1978. He was a Mason.
Survivors include his wife, of Snyder; one son, Eddie Phy of Belton; two sisters, Bertha Mae Mason of Jefferson and Juanita Tinsley of Pampa; one brother, Bobby Killion of Grand Prairie; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Ann Wall Bothe
BROWNWOOD - Ann Wall Bothe, 73, of Corpus Christi and formerly of Brownwood, died Saturday in a San Antonio hospital.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Greenleaf Cemetery with the Rev. Edward Garrett officiating, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bothe was born in Brownwood, where she graduated from high school. She was a longtime Corpus Christi resident and was a homemaker. She was the widow of Vernon Breazeale and Ralph Bothe.
Survivors include one son, J.R. "Rick" Breazeale of Corpus Christi; two daughters, Carolyn Sue Price of Kemp and Marylyn Jean Bothe Fladmark of Duncanville; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-6 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Ricky Henson
RANGER - Ricky Henson, 53, died Thursday at his home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Eastside Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Speer officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, directed by Edwards Funeral Home.
Mr. Henson was born in Gorman and graduated from Ranger High School in 1971. He worked as a carpenter in Ranger for many years and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Michelle Cherry of Altus, Okla., and Monica Cockerham of Ranger; his former wife, Rita Henson of Ranger; one stepson, Roby Young of Ranger; his mother, Dorothy Henson of Ranger; one brother, Randy Henson of Dexter; one sister, Becky C de Baca of Ranger; two grandchildren; and two nephews and two nieces.

Ann McCathern See
COLEMAN - Ann McCathern (Mrs. Robert) See, 80, died Saturday in a Brownwood hospital.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Robert L. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Trickham Cemetery.
Mrs. See was born in Jonesville and attended Marshall High School and Centenary College. She was a homemaker and was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and First Baptist Church. She was the widow of Robert Samuel See, whom she married in 1938 in Jonesville.
Survivors include four nieces and four nephews; and one cousin.

Emma Manick
STRAWN - Emma Manick, 91, died Thursday in a Fort Worth hospital.
Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. Monday in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. John's Catholic Church with the Rev. Dale Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Mount Marion Cemetery.
Ms. Manick was born in Lyra in Palo Pinto County and attended school in Lyra and Strawn. She worked in restaurants and as a housekeeper in Michigan for 11 years. She was employed in aircraft manufacturing during World War II and later returned to Strawn, where she was a housekeeper for many years. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews, including Mary Lovera and Mary Sadver, both of Strawn.

Sarah Nixon Landers
BIG SPRING - Sarah Nixon Landers, 92, died Saturday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Clyde Cemetery, directed by Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
Mrs. Landers was born in Clyde, where she lived most of her life. She was a homemaker, and moved to Denver City in 1982 and Big Spring in 1986. She was a member of the Church of Christ and was the widow of T.I. Nixon, whom she married in 1920 in Clyde; and Sewell Landers, whom she married in 1964 in Clyde.
Survivors include two sons, L.G. Nixon of Channelview and Lewis Nixon of Big Spring; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Debra Bearden Carmack
OLDEN - Debra Bearden Carmack, 41, died Saturday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Monday in Eastside Baptist Church in Ranger with the Rev. Jerry Speer officiating. Burial will be in Colony Cemetery, directed by Edwards Funeral Home of Ranger.
Mrs. Carmack was born in Ranger, where she graduated from high school. She worked as a beautician and truck driver. She was a charter member of Ranger Riding Club and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Cory Lee Vinson of Ranger; her parents, Jack and Peggy Bearden of Ranger; one sister, Tracy Johnston of Ranger; two brothers, Larry Bearden of Wingate and Mark Bearden of Ranger; her maternal grandmother, Irene Thomas of Ranger; two nieces and one nephew; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
