Pearl Elizabeth Spann
IRVING - Pearl Elizabeth Spann, 78, sister of a Stamford resident, died Thursday in Irving.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Irving First Baptist Church with Dr. Randy Rudisell officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, directed by Brown's Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Spann was born in Clayton, N.M. and worked as a teacher's aide. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Rick Spann of Irving and David Spann of Euless; one brother, Tony C. Patterson of Stamford; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Kenneth Alvah Barron
Kenneth Alvah Barron, 65, died Friday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in North's Funeral Home Chapel, 242 Orange, with the Revs. Johnny M. Smith and Alan Cartrite officiating. Burial will be in Midway Cemetery.
Mr. Barron was born in Owens and attended school in Brownwood. He was a U.S. Army veteran and married Sue Faulks in 1954 in Hawley. He worked as a truck driver before retiring in 1994 and lived in Fort Worth for 35 years before moving to Abilene in 1995. He was a member of Hodges Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; three daughters, Gail Salyer of Mayhill, N.M., June Langley of Arlington and Lesa Stites of Abilene; his mother, Pauline Barron of Alvarado; four brothers, Wayne Barron of Rendon, Jimmy Barron of Fort Worth, Lloyd Barron of Lipan and Doyle Barron of Godley; and seven grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to Hodges Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.

George Benningfield
George Benningfield, 86, an employee of the Texas Department of Transportation's engineering department for many years, died Friday in a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Elmwood Memorial Park with the Rev. H.B. Terry officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mr. Benningfield was born in Dallas County and attended school in Merkel. He moved to Abilene more than 60 years ago. He was a member of Oak Street Church of Christ and was the widower of Gladys Benningfield.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.

Brooks Middleton
HASKELL - Brooks Middleton, 77, died Friday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Haskell First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Sid Parsley and Jim Turner officiating. Burial will be in Willow Cemetery, directed by Holden-McCauley Funeral Directors.
Mr. Middleton was born in Haskell County and grew up in Cobb. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and worked as a rancher, mail carrier and Gulf distributor. He was a Haskell city councilman from 1954-60, and was a former Rotarian and Haskell volunteer firefighter. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and was the widower of LaVera "Bebe" Riley Middleton, whom he married in 1949 in Rotan.
Survivors include one son, Riley Middleton of Lubbock; one daughter, Nancy Kay Mueller of Abilene; one sister, Elizabeth Stewart of Haskell; one brother, Gentry Middleton of Haskell; and four grandchildren.

A.J. 'Jelly' Teague
BROWNWOOD - A.J. "Jelly" Teague, 84, Coca-Cola salesman for 52 years, died Saturday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ron Cook officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Teague was born in Star and was a lifelong Brownwood resident. He married Athealene Watkins in 1935 in Brownwood and served with the U.S. Army in the European Theater. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Brownwood; one son, Jerry Don Teague of Crockett; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Memorials may be sent to Brownwood First Baptist Church; or Alzheimers Support Group, c/o Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 4-5 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Dr. James Robert Pace
SWEETWATER - Dr. James Robert Pace, 63, lifelong local resident, died Saturday at his home.
Private memorial services will be Monday in St. Stephens Episcopal Church with the Rev. Steve Birdwell officiating. Public graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Garden of Memories, directed by McCoy Funeral Home.
Dr. Pace was born in Sweetwater and graduated from Newman High School in 1951, Baylor University in 1954 and Baylor School of Dentistry in 1958. He was a retired dentist and was a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Paige Pace of Dallas and Merry Laine Wetsel of Sweetwater; two sons, James Tann Pace and Robert Dillard Pace, both of Dallas; one sister, Joy Pace Morehead of San Angelo; the children's mother, Barbara Gerald of Sweetwater; and two grandchildren.

James 'Jim' Meeks
BROWNWOOD - James A. "Jim" Meeks, 80, died Friday in a Temple hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tony Jamar officiating. Burial will be in Richland Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Meeks was born in Logan, N.M., and was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a farmer and rancher, and moved to Brownwood in 1980 from Richland Springs. He was the widower of Flossie A. Leamon Meeks, whom he married in 1935 in Tucumcari, N.M.
Survivors include one daughter, Beverly Ann Murry of Houston; two brothers, Paul Meeks of Matika, Calif., and Charlo Meeks of North Edwards, Calif.; two sisters, Lotta Snyder of Marshall and Louise Lawrence of Tucumcari, N.M.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Seth Orlan Barton
TECUMSEH - Seth Orlan Barton, 77, lifelong local resident, died Saturday in a Baird nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in Tecumseh Cemetery with Ed Headrick officiating, directed by Parker Funeral Home of Baird.
Mr. Barton was born in Tecumseh and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps' 380th Bomb Group during World War II. He was a stockfarmer.
Survivors include one brother, Howard Barton of Baird; one sister, Janice Martin of Wylie; and several nieces and one nephew.

William Lee Boyd
William Lee Boyd, 51, died Friday at his home.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at North's Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange, with the Rev. Jack Sharp officiating.
Mr. Boyd grew up in Abilene and did roofing work.
Survivors include one daughter, Leeann Weber of Laguna Hills, Calif.; one son, Glen Boyd of Portland, Ore.; one brother, James Boyd of Hawley; and four grandchildren.
