Vera 'Babe' Brown
DE LEON - Vera "Babe" Brown, 93, died Monday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Satterwhite officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. in Johnson Memorial Cemetery in Munday, directed by Nowlin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brown was born in Desdemona and lived in Munday for 44 years before returning to De Leon in 1965. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She married Atlas Agustus Brown in 1921 in De Leon; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two brothers, M.B. Koonce of Desdemona and W.D. Koonce of Dallas.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in De Leon.

Mary Alice (Mrs. N.O.) Phillips
COLEMAN - Mary Alice (Mrs. N.O.) Phillips, 102, died Monday at a local convalescent home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Walker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roger Hammonds officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo with Beal Denton officiating.
Mrs. Phillips was born in Woodbine (Cooke County) and had lived in Coleman County since 1973. She was a homemaker and a member of Primitive Baptist Church of Fort Worth. She married Thomas Hamm in 1917 in Hereford; he preceded her in death. She married N.O. Phillips in 1937.
Survivors include one son, Cecil Winston Hamm of Coleman; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to Holiday Hill Convalescent Home.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.

Jack Earnest Roberson
MANSFIELD - Jack Earnest Roberson, 69, of Arlington died Tuesday at an Arlington hospital.
Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene, directed by Blessing Funeral Home.
Mr. Roberson was born in Abilene and moved to Arlington in 1965. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a retired cabinet maker. He married Iris Jean Hardy in 1950 in Abilene.
Survivors include his wife, of Arlington; one daughter, Teri Blumhost of Arlington; two sisters, Margie Mauldin of Clyde and Betty Allen of Fort Worth; and two grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to West Texas Rehabilitation Center.

Audrey Morgan
SEYMOUR - Audrey J. Morgan, 76, sister of a Hawley woman, died Saturday at a Lubbock nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church of Seymour with the Rev. Derrell Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Seymour Masonic Cemetery, directed by Seymour Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Morgan was born in Baylor County and was a longtime Seymour resident, moving to Lubbock in 1977. She was a secretary at Texas Tech University until retiring in 1987. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church in Lubbock. She was active with United Methodist Women, Lubbock Women's Club and Pierian Club. She married Almer Morgan in 1940; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Mittel of Eldorado and Joyce Gibson of Idalou; two sisters, Margaret Phillips of Dallas and Nancy Harp of Hawley; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Knox Alton Tuggle
MUNDAY - Knox Alton Tuggle, 75, died Saturday at his home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with Dr. H.B. Graves officiating, assisted by the Rev. John Hall. Burial will be in Johnson Memorial Cemetery, directed by McCauley-Smith Funeral Home.
Mr. Tuggle was born in Cleburne and moved to Munday from Fort Worth in 1984. He was an aircraft mechanic and a Little League manager for 12 years. He married Opal Onieta Offutt in 1941 in Haskell; she preceded him in death.
Survivors include three sons, Rudy Lee Tuggle, Rick Tuggle and Terry Lynn Tuggle, all of Fort Worth; three sisters, Evelyne Elliott of Munday, Mazell Shipman of San Antonio and Wilma Kirkland of Fort Worth; three brothers, Buddy Tuggle of Fort Sumner, N.M., Bobby Tuggle of Wichita Falls and Dorris Tuggle of Plains; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Peggy Sue Burcham
BROWNWOOD - Peggy Sue Burcham, 56, died Sunday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Cyr officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Burcham was born in Santa Anna and attended school in Brownwood and Houston. She lived in Gladewater, moving to Brownwood in 1977. She was a homemaker and a Catholic. She married Jeff Burcham in 1971 in Louisiana.
Survivors include her husband, of Brownwood; two sons, Brant McClure of Denver, Colo., and Danny McClure of Palestine, Tex.; four stepsons; one brother, Larry Weigand of Houston; one sister, Debbie Riker of Brownwood; her mother, Bonnie Weigand of Brownwood; three grandchildren and three nieces.
Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.

Walter Wilson
ANSON - Walter L. Wilson, 95, died Monday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lee Welch officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Lawrence-Adams Funeral Home.
Mr. Wilson was born in Waynesboro, Tenn., and moved to Anson from Miles County in 1944. He owned and operated a grocery business and was a member of First Baptist Church. He married Irene Marie Wilson in 1927; she preceded him in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Katherine Maroney of Pflugerville; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-7:30 p.m. today.

Sarah Katherin Scott
LAMESA - Sarah Katherin Scott, 86, of Lubbock died Monday at a Lubbock hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Branon Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kurt Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Lamesa Memorial Park.
Mrs. Scott was born in Knott, moved to Lamesa from Howard County in 1919 and moved to Lubbock in 1966. She and her husband operated a grocery store and gas station prior to World War II and was a nurse's aide in Lamesa and Lubbock nursing homes. She worked for C.R. Anthony store in Lamesa and was a member of Second Baptist Church for many years. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Lubbock, where she taught preschool children. She married C.H. Scott in 1929 in Lamesa; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Bobby Paul Scott of Roswell, N.M.; one daughter, Frankie Trotter of Lubbock; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Tom Stewart
COLEMAN - Tom Stewart, 92, of Voss died Monday in Gonzales.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Walker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. S.L. Yeilding officiating. Burial will be in Gouldbusk Cemetery.
Mr. Stewart was born in Ellis County and lived in the Voss and Starkweather area all his life. He was a retired stock farmer and a Baptist.
Survivors include two daughters, Sue Hick of Blanco and Rebecca Droupy of Gonzales; and four sons, Ted Stewart of Cypress, Dale Stewart and Charles Stewart, both of Gonzales, and Jim Stewart of Brazoria.
