Brian Dooley
SWEETWATER - Brian K. Dooley, 29, of Ruidoso, N.M., and formerly of Sweetwater, died Wednesday in Ruidoso.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in McCoy Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Dr. Morris Poole officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories.
Mr. Dooley was born in Sweetwater and moved to Ruidoso, N.M. in 1995. He had attended Texas Tech University and, at the time of his death, was a student at Eastern New Mexico University.
Survivors include his parents, Dan and Sue Dooley of Ruidoso, N.M.; and several aunts and uncles.
The family will be at 1700 Pease.

Rodney Franklin Fuqua
BANGS - Rodney Franklin Fuqua, 65, died Friday at his home.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today in Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop Darrel Hohman officiating. Burial will be in Bangs Cemetery, directed by Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
Mr. Fuqua was born in Harmony, Okla., and married Ann Bullock in 1954 in Birmingham, England. He was in the U.S. Air Force from 1949-73 and attained the rank of master sergeant. He served in Morocco, Libya and Greece. He graduated from Howard Payne University in 1977 and taught school in Brookesmith, Gustine, at Central Texas Commercial College and for the Texas Youth Commission. He was a branch president and bishop in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include his wife, of Bangs; three sons, Steven Fuqua, Michael Fuqua and Rodney Fuqua, all of Bangs; two daughters, Michele Fuqua of Bangs and Denise VanNoy of Arlington; two brothers, David Fuqua of Montana and Forrest Fuqua of Oklahoma; and six grandchildren.

Melvin Lee Angley
Melvin Lee Angley, 73, died Friday at his home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 U.S. Hwy 277 South, with Bobby Israel and Herschel Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Angley was born in Weinert and worked in the maintenance department at Hendrick Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Ruth Angley of Abilene; seven daughters, Vickie Kilough, Veronica Kay Fulcher, Tammy Calhoon, Brenda Hendricks and Carolyn Owens, all of Abilene, Darlene Boone of Colorado City and Rebecca Faubion of Georgia; one sister, Bonnie Kingery of Midland; two brothers, Coy Angley of Abilene and Roy Angley of Midland; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

J.T. Ketchersid
J.T. Ketchersid, 89, died Thursday in a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Elmwood Memorial Park with the Rev. H.B. Terry officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mr. Ketchersid was born in Mansfield, Okla., and attended San Marcos Military Academy. He was a veteran of both the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy, and worked as a salesman for Sanders Electric Co. in Albuquerque, N.M., from 1959 until retiring in 1969. He then moved to Abilene from Albuquerque. He was a Baptist and was the widower of Vera Merle Babb Ketchersid, whom he married in 1935 in El Paso.
Survivors include one sister-in-law, Letha Bellew of Abilene; and one niece, Mary Dempsey of Abilene.

Basilio Garcia
BAIRD - Basilio Garcia, 49, of Los Angeles and formerly of Baird, died Tuesday in a Los Angeles hospital.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today in Parker Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Joachim Catholic Church in Clyde with the Rev. Robert Bush officiating. Burial will be in Ross Cemetery Annex.
Mr. Garcia was born in Abilene and moved to Los Angeles in 1969. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Regulus during the Vietnam Conflict.
Survivors include his mother, Julia Garcia of Baird; three sisters, Valentine Ramos of Abilene, and Carolyn Florres and Julie Garcia, both of Baird; three brothers, Jesse Garcia of Abilene, Felipe Garcia of Odessa and Johnny Garcia of Baird; and many nieces and nephews.

R.V. 'Doc' Trussell
ANSON - R.V. "Doc" Trussell, 77, died Thursday in Anson.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Fenwick officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in Funston, directed by Lawrence-Adams Funeral Home.
Mr. Trussell was born in Athens, Texas, and was a longtime Anson resident. He married Betty Johnson in 1977 in Oklahoma City and worked as a night watchman for FM 600 Wrecking. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9179 in Stamford and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, of Anson; one son, Verlon Trussell of Anson; two stepsons, Billy Ray Johnson of Clyde and Larry Johnson of Abilene; one daughter, Jannett Brooks of Emory; one stepdaughter, Shirley Jackson of Hamlin; two brothers, J.I. Trussell and Robert Trussell, both of Haskell; six sisters, Marie Culbreath, Opal Tidrow and Jimmie Darden, all of Haskell, Althea Howeth of Abilene, Betty Hegwood of Tye and Lennie McEntire of Crystal Lake, Ill.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Jeffie Graham
CAMERON - Jeffie Graham, 90, of Abilene and formerly of Cameron, died Saturday at her home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Oak Hill Cemetery with the Rev. J.E. Lafferty officiating, directed by Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Graham was born in Falls County and was a homemaker. She was a member of Cameron First Baptist Church and was the widow of Gillis Graham.
Survivors include one daughter, Virginia Holley of Abilene; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Gladys Kemp Farmer
BALLINGER - Gladys Kemp Farmer, 77, employed by the Ballinger school district in its administration office for many years, died Saturday in a San Angelo hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Ballinger First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Howe officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories, directed by Rains-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Farmer was born in Hatchel and earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and Mary Martha Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church. She was the widow of Foy Lee Farmer, whom she married in 1951 in Ballinger.
Survivors include four nieces.

Retired Air Force Maj. Homer Dalton White
EASTLAND - Retired U.S. Air Force Maj. Homer Dalton White, 79, a director of the Morton Valley Water District since 1981, died Wednesday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Bakker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom Goodman officiating. Burial will be in Eastland Cemetery.
Mr. White was born in Eastland and grew up north of Eastland. He attended John Tarleton College and was an instructor pilot with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was in the U.S. Air Force from 1953 until retiring in 1968. He returned to Eastland in 1963 and was a former president of the Morton Valley Water District. He was a Baptist and was the widower of Martha Lou Allen White, whom he married in 1941 in Princeton, Texas.
Survivors include one son, Donel D. White of Lincoln, Neb.; one brother, Doug White Sr. of Bayfield, Colo.; and one grandchild.
