Gynella Breland Cox
Gynella Breland Cox, 69, died Saturday in a Temple hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in North's Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange, with Bill Luttrell and Willard Tate officiating. Burial will be in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Mrs. Cox was born in Earth, Texas, and was a homemaker. She lived in the Olton-Plainview area for more than 30 years before moving to Abilene in 1972. She married Erwin Cox in 1977 in Abilene and worked for Southwestern Bell in Abilene and Dallas before retiring in 1992. She was a member of Southwestern Bell Pioneers and Hillcrest Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; one daughter, Marcella Hall of Fort Worth; one son, Darrell Breland of Abilene; one sister, Faye Thompson of Amarillo; and four grandchildren.

Ysidro Rosales
Ysidro Rosales, 59, died Thursday in a local hospital.
A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. today in North's Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Francis Catholic Church with the Rev. Joe Uecker officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery.
Mr. Rosales was born in Abilene, where he grew up. He married Dominga Juarez in 1956 in Abilene and worked as a chef at the Dixie Pig for 25 years and Colonial Inn for 10 years before retiring in 1994. He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; four sons, Ysidro Rosales Jr., David Rosales, Jesse Rosales and Avelino Rosales, all of Abilene; three daughters, Manuela Escobedo, Teresa Garcia and Sona Hernandez, all of Abilene; his father, Charles Rosales of Abilene; two brothers, Charles Rosales Jr. and Jesse Rosales, both of Abilene; one sister, Rebecca Williams of White Sands, N.M.; 23 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will be at 1501 Plum.

Samuel Anderson
Samuel Anderson, 75, employed by Citizen's National Bank for 15 years before retiring in 1979, died Thursday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Allen-Korzenewski Funeral Home Chapel, 1443 N. 2nd, with Mack Moye officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Anderson was born in Giddings and moved to Abilene in 1935. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and married Annie Mae Cade in 1959 in Abilene. He was a church deacon since 1973 and served at New Hope and Ash Street Baptist churches, and Emmanuel Church of God in Christ. He was a member of Emmanuel Church of God in Christ.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; one son, James Anderson of Denver; one daughter, Deborah Malveaux of Denver; two brothers, Paul Anderson of Abilene and Henry Anderson of Vernon; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will be at 501 Cockerell Drive.

William Ray Brown
ROTAN - William Ray Brown, 84, owner and operator of Rotan Motor Co., the Ford dealership, from 1946 until retiring in 1986, died Saturday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Rotan First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Larry Holder and Werth Mayes officiating. Burial will be in Belvieu Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee Funeral Home.
Mr. Brown was born in Wheeling, Ark., and attended school in Ardmore, Okla. He attended Oklahoma A&M, now Oklahoma State University. He married Johnnie Josephine Birdwell in 1941 in Lubbock and formerly lived in Lubbock. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and moved to Rotan in 1946. He helped establish the Rotan Little League program and was a former member of the Rotan Housing Authority. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Rotan; one son, Stan Brown of Abilene; one daughter, Linda Brown Murray of Abilene; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

John Gonzales
COLEMAN - John O. Gonzales, 71, of Abilene and formerly of the Coleman area, died Saturday in an Abilene hospital.
A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. today in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be said at 4:30 p.m. Monday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Coleman. Burial will be in Coleman Cemetery.
Mr. Gonzales was born in Santa Anna and attended school in Santa Anna and Brownwood. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and married Otila Galindo in 1947 in Coleman. He was in the National Guard for several years, and lived in Brownwood and Mineral Wells before moving to Abilene in 1957. He worked in the commissary at Dyess Air Force Base for 20 years before retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Crusillista and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Abilene.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; one son, James Gonzales of Denton; two brothers, Marcus Gonzales and P.O. Gonzales, both of Mineral Wells; and four grandchildren.

James Carlile
ALBANY - James W. Carlile, 67, died Friday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Abilene with Bishop Rand Averett officiating. Burial will be in Albany Cemetery, directed by Godfrey-Neese Funeral Home.
Mr. Carlile was born in Burnet County and was a retired construction worker. He was formerly employed by the city of Albany and was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Abilene.
Survivors include two daughters, Dona Soble of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Cindy Rutz of Vincennes, Ind.; one son, Dan Carlile of California; two stepsons, Max Carlile of Texas and Zane Carlile of California; and several grandchildren.

Talmage Duggins
BANGS - Talmage K. Duggins, 83, died Friday in a Brownwood hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel in Coleman. Burial will be in Voss Cemetery.
Mr. Duggins was born in Valera and attended school in Talpa. He served with the U.S. Army in the Philippines during World War II and married Annie Mae Jennings in 1954 in Coleman. He lived in Corpus Christi for 20 years and worked at a carbon black factory in Aransas Pass. He moved to Bangs in 1977 and was a member of the Bangs Veterans of Foreign Wars post and Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, of Bangs; two daughters, Annabelle Bush of Duncan, Okla., and Jackie Jock of Bangs; three sisters, Marion Childs, Micki Eason and Margie Baker, all of Bangs; one brother, L.G. Duggins of Temple; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Loyd Allan Bohall
SWEETWATER - Loyd Allan Bohall, 40, died Friday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in McCoy Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Dave Oden officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Mr. Bohall was born in Phoenix, Ariz., and moved to Sweetwater in 1975. He married Carmella Jones in 1994 in Woodson and worked as a foreman for Mahaffey Construction Co. He attended Cornerstone Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Sweetwater; two daughters, Misty Bohall and Gina Bohall, both of Sweetwater; one stepdaughter, Ciara Dean of Sweetwater; two stepsons, Dakota Dean and Spencer Dean, both of Sweetwater; his parents, Gerald and Maritha Bohall of Sweetwater; two brothers, Jerry Bohall and Kenneth Bohall, both of Sweetwater; and one sister, Diane Grey of Camas, Wash.

The Rev. A.F. McGuffey
BROWNWOOD - The Rev. A.F. McGuffey, 84, died Saturday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today in First Church of the Nazarene with Dr. James Blankenship and the Rev. Dan Wright officiating. Burial will be in Merit Cemetery in Collin County, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Rev. McGuffey was born in Blue Ridge in Collin County and worked as a nursing home chaplain at CARE, Inc. for 19 years. He was a Nazarene minister and pastored churches in Palacios, Longview, Greenville, Terrell, Irving, Brady, Edgewood, Ballinger, Temple and Grand Saline. He also was a supply pastor in the Dallas district. He moved to Brownwood in 1977 and was the widower of Gertrude Truelove McGuffey, whom he married in 1930 in Greenville.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry D. McGuffey of Brownwood and Ronald McGuffey of Richardson; one adopted daughter, Janette Richardson of Brownwood; one brother, Hobert McGuffey of Canyon Lake; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be sent to First Church of the Nazarene in Brownwood.
