Jack Stephens
Jack Stephens, 72, of Belton and formerly of Abilene, died Wednesday in a Temple hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 U.S. Hwy 277 South, with the Rev. Garland Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Stephens was born in Crockett, where he attended school. He married Pearl Lambright in 1946 in Livingston, and moved to the Abilene area in 1947 from Crockett. He was a retired farmer and moved to Belton in 1995 from Abilene. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Belton.
Survivors include his wife, of Belton; two sons, Joseph Dean Stephens of Merkel and Frederick David Stephens of Sweet Home, Ark.; one daughter, Karen Walton of Lufkin; three sisters, Ruby Ginsel of Marque, Bessie Lambright of Conroe and Virginia Roark of Houston; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-6 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Frank Williams
BROWNWOOD - Frank T. Williams, 83, of Abilene and formerly of Brownwood, died Wednesday in Abilene.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. George Gaston officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Williams was born in May, where he married Bee Smith in 1938. He was a retired employee of Amoco Oil Co., and lived in Brownwood and Andrews before moving to Abilene 2-1/2 years ago. He was a member of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church in Abilene and was a Baptist deacon since 1948.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; two daughters, Linda Robinson of Odessa and Betty McKelvy of Abilene; one sister, Elwanda Coppic of Brownwood; two brothers, Darrell Williams of Georgetown and Kelly Williams of Houston; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Farahbelle Ray Sconce
STAMFORD - Farahbelle Ray Sconce, 80, of Wichita Falls and formerly of Stamford, died Tuesday in a Wichita Falls hospital.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday in St. John's United Methodist Church with the Revs. Kathryn Byrd, Phil McClendon and Burton McAlroy officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery, directed by Kinney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sconce was born in Franklin and moved to Jones County in 1921. She was a homemaker, and moved to Springfield, Mo., in 1991 and Wichita Falls in 1996. She was president of the Resident Council at Maranatha Manor and also was a member of the Alzheimer's Association, both in Springfield, Mo. She was a member of Foursquare Church and was the widow of Roy Elbert Sconce, whom she married in 1933 in Stamford.
Survivors include three sons, Elbert David Sconce of Aldrich, Mo., Roy Don Sconce of Graham and Alvin Ray Sconce of Stamford; one daughter, Edith Sue Peters of Wichita Falls; three sisters, Eva Robertson of Leesville, La., Jettie Prickett of Clarendon and Cora Reynolds of Abilene; 12 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Horace 'Tex' Hyatt
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Horace L. "Tex" Hyatt, 84, formerly of Comanche County, died Tuesday in Colorado Springs.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Central Christian Church with the Rev. Eric Batteiger officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, directed by Blunt Mortuary.
Mr. Hyatt was born in Gustine and moved to Colorado Springs in 1939. He worked as a carpenter and married Della Aumiller in 1972 in Colorado Springs. He was a retired member of Carpenters Union, Local 515, and also was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps and YMCA.
Survivors include his wife, of Colorado Springs; three daughters, Lealice Whitton of Findlay, and Linda Smith and Karen Davis, both of Abilene; two stepsons, Charles Johnson of Albuquerque, N.M., and Gary Johnson of Hoxie, Kan.; two brothers, Howard Hyatt of Hawley and J.C. Hyatt of Dublin; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Juanita Fry
TUSCOLA - Juanita Fry, 79, of Irving and formerly of Tuscola, died Tuesday in an Irving hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Tuscola First Baptist Church with the Revs. Price Mathieson and T.C. Melton officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene, directed by Fry-Bartlett Funeral Home.
Mrs. Fry was born in Tuscola, where she graduated from high school. She married Boles Fry in 1936 in Tuscola. She and her husband owned and operated Fry Funeral Home in Tuscola for 45 years until retiring in 1990. They then moved to Irving. She was a member of Tuscola First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, of Irving; one daughter, Judith A. Brink of Irving; one son, Robert C. Fry of Big Spring; one brother, H.B. Williams of Dallas; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Morrell 'Moe' Cromeens
MINERAL WELLS - Morrell "Moe" Cromeens, 73, an Anson native, died Tuesday at his home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dana Stout officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Park Cemetery, directed by Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home.
Mr. Cromeens was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He founded Tri-State Machinery in Dallas in 1952 and served as its president until 1971, when he moved to Palo Pinto County. He married Gloria Tulis in 1971 in Mineral Wells and was a businessman in Palo Pinto, Jack, Hall and Childress counties. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Mineral Wells; four children, Michael Cromeens of Mineral Wells, Paula Cromeens Fornara of Carrollton, Douglas Cromeens of Houston and Stephen Cromeens of San Antonio; two brothers, Jeff Young Cromeens of Sunnyvale and Franklin D. Cromeens of Frisco; 11 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Patsy Beene Hampton
BROWNWOOD - Patsy Beene Hampton, 27, of Lake Brownwood, died Monday at her home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Kyle Horton officiating, directed by Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
Mrs. Hampton was born in Brownwood and attended school in Odessa. She moved to Lake Brownwood in 1987. She married James Hampton in 1989 in Brownwood and at the time of her death, was working as a clerk at the Country Oaks Food Plaza at Lake Brownwood. She was a member of Belle Plain Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, of Lake Brownwood; one son, Brandon Hampton of Lake Brownwood; three daughters, Carrie Beene, Sherrie Hampton and Krystal Hampton, all of Lake Brownwood; her mother, Ann Beene of Lake Brownwood; her grandmother, Hester Bunnell of Grosvenor; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Clyde Hall Jr.
SNYDER - Clyde Hall Jr., 78, died Monday at his home after a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Snyder First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ernie McGaughey officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Memorial Gardens, directed by Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Hall was born in Brady and married Elizabeth Sikes in 1944 in Eastland. He owned Snyder Insurance Agency and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Snyder; two sons, Rick Hall of Snyder and Robert Hall of Midland; one sister, Sydnie Wood of Odessa; and five grandchildren.

Mamie Harty
BRECKENRIDGE - Mamie E. Harty, 97, died Tuesday in a Graham hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Melton Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Edgar Jones officiating. Burial will be in Murray Cemetery.
Mrs. Harty was born in Tonk Valley in Young County and married John S. Harty in 1917 in Chrystal Falls. She was a homemaker and formerly lived in Ranger, where she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a member of Woodson First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Lucille Brown of Burleson and Ola Bellah of Graham; one brother, Seddon Mayes of Olney; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
