Hattie Lou Cornwell
COLORADO CITY - Hattie Lou Cornwell, 96, lifelong local resident, died Tuesday in an Amarillo hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First Presbyterian Church Chapel with Dr. Ken Baker officiating. Burial will be in Colorado City Cemetery, directed by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cornwell was born in Mitchell County and worked as an insurance and real estate salesperson in Colorado City for many years. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star and First Presbyterian Church, and was the widow of Clarence Gross and James Cornwell.
Survivors include one daughter, Iva Helen Gross of Amarillo; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Larry Don Jeter
HASKELL - Larry Don Jeter, 50, of Wichita Falls and formerly of Haskell, died Saturday at his home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Haskell First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sid Parsley officiating. Burial will be in Willow Cemetery, directed by Holden-McCauley Funeral Directors.
Mr. Jeter was born in Stamford and graduated from Haskell High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his parents, L.M. and Dessa Mae Jeter of Haskell; one sister, Patricia Koch of Cincinnati; one nephew and one niece; and one grand-nephew.

Ima Jeanne Sorrell
Ima Jeanne Sorrell, 66, died Friday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Allen-Korzenewski Funeral Home Chapel, 1443 N. 2nd. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Tuxedo.
Mrs. Sorrell was born in Tuxedo and lived in Stamford and San Antonio before moving to Abilene in 1971. She worked as a seamstress and was a member of Al-Anon for 15 years. She was a Baptist and was the widow of Billy Jack Sorrell, whom she married in 1946 in Stamford.
Survivors include one son, Rodney Sorrell of San Antonio; one brother, Herbert Meads of Avoca; one sister, Lurlene Ashburn of Lockney; and two grandchildren.

Patsy Bertrand
Patsy Bertrand, 69, employed by Montgomery Ward in its catalog department for 24 years before retiring in 1984, died Thursday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in North's Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 4002 Buffalo Gap Road, with the Rev. David Cason officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Bertrand was born in Breckenridge and moved to Abilene in 1932. She was a member of Broadview Baptist Church and was the widow of Walter William Bertrand, whom she married in 1946.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Bowker of Anson and Gayle Williamson of Abilene; two sisters, Louise Taylor of Abilene and Frances Vaughn of Stephenville; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will be at 2633 S. 27th.

Linda Sue Oregon
Linda Sue Oregon, 31, of Phoenix, Ariz., died Thursday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Allen-Korzenewski Funeral Home Chapel, 1443 N. 2nd, with the Rev. David Chandler officiating. Burial will be in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Ms. Oregon was born in Cherry Point, N.C., and grew up in Arizona. She lived in Phoenix, Ariz. since 1969 and worked as a secretary for a computer company. She moved to Abilene two weeks ago.
Survivors include one daughter, Tana of Abilene; one son, Terrence of Abilene; her mother and stepfather, Jane and Burt Cutshaw of Abilene; one sister, Cindy Daniels; and her maternal grandmother, Alice Binns of Pennsylvania.

Weldon Carmen Echols
COMANCHE - Weldon Carmen Echols, 85, died Friday in a Port Arthur hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Pearl Street Church of Christ. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery near Duster, directed by Hall & Sons Funeral Home.
Mr. Echols was born in Gorman and moved to Comanche in 1971. He was a retired Church of Christ minister and was the widower of Sarah Alice Echols.
Survivors include one son, David Echols of Groves; one brother, A.Q. Echols of Abilene; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Minnie Ann Neal
BROWNWOOD - Minnie Ann Neal, 84, of Sweeny and formerly of Brownwood, died Wednesday in a Sweeny hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Early with the Rev. Bud Stephens officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Neal was born in Anson and worked as a line supervisor for Texas Feathers in Brownwood for many years. She moved to Sweeny in 1992. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Brownwood and was the widow of Clifford C. Neal, whom she married in 1930 in Brownwood.
Survivors include three sons, Garland Neal Sr. of Brownwood, Harvey Neal of Montana and Danny Neal of Midland; one daughter, Wanda Beck of Lake Jackson; one sister, Johnnie Young of San Diego; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Emma Lloyd Morris
ROBY - Emma Lloyd Morris, 93, of Flower Mound and formerly of Roby, died Thursday in a Grapevine hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Weathersbee Funeral Home Chapel in Rotan with the Rev. Loren Gardner officiating. Burial will be in Roby Cemetery.
Mrs. Morris was born in Paris, Texas, and moved to Fisher County in 1912. She was a homemaker and moved to Flower Mound in 1991. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star and Roby First United Methodist Church, and was the widow of Joe Morris, whom she married in 1925 in Roby.
Survivors include three daughters, Orlena Lay of Hermleigh, Mineola Parker of Roby and Natalie Gribbins of Flower Mound; one brother, Ed Neves of Big Spring; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

GORMAN - Larry Thomas Montgomery, 42, died Thursday in a De Leon hospital after a sudden illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in New Hope Baptist Church near Gorman with Richard Watson and Kenneth Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Gorman Cemetery, directed by Higginbotham Funeral Home.
Mr. Montgomery was born in Hamilton County and moved to Gorman in 1977. He married Betty Rich in 1977 in Gorman and worked as a mechanic for G&H Feeds. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Gorman; his mother, Letha Montgomery of Gorman; three brothers, Wayne Montgomery of Gorman, Gene Montgomery of Sidney and Lynn Montgomery of Fort Worth; and two sisters, Cathy Sanford of Hico and Kay Loewe of Hamilton.
