Will Gideon
COLEMAN - Will Gideon, 92, of Granbury and formerly of Coleman, died Thursday in Granbury.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Coleman Cemetery with the Rev. Roger Hammonds officiating, directed by Stevens Funeral Home.
Miss Gideon was born in Coleman, where she attended school. She later worked for the Internal Revenue Service in Austin for many years. She moved to Granbury in 1993 and was a Baptist.
Survivors include one brother, Roger Gideon of Granbury; and several nieces and nephews.

Audra Rachel O'Shields
Audra Rachel O'Shields of Abilene, 3-month-old daughter of Kenneth Randall and Christine Giroux O'Shields, died Friday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with the Rev. H.B. Terry officiating, assisted by the Rev. Riley Fugitt. Burial will be in Oplin Cemetery.
Survivors include her parents; one brother, Sam O'Shields of Abilene; grandparents Clara O'Shields of Oplin and Victor and Audrey Giroux of Chatham, Ontario, Canada; and a great-grandmother, Ellen Finlayson of Chatham.
The family will be at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. today.

Col. Ray Whipple
Col. Ray W. Whipple, 78, of Abilene died Thursday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Ridlehoover and Chaplin Lt. Col. Gary Carlson officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Col. Whipple was born in Madison, Ohio, and retired in 1971 after 30 years in the U.S. Air Force. He was commander of the 578th Strategic Missile Squadron at Dyess Air Force Base from 1963 until its deactivation in 1965. After retiring, he worked for several years in real estate. He was a member of Abilene Southwest Rotary Club. He married Miriam Barton in 1942 in Odessa.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; one daughter, Rae Jean Reagan of Lorton, Va.; two sons, Randolph B. Whipple of Wichita, Kan., and Richard F. Whipple of Abilene; four sisters, Madge Wheeler, Betty Jean Schaeffer, Jeraldine Bezdek and Dorothy Skidmore; six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Ben Richey Boys Ranch, 501 Ben Richey Drive, Abilene 79602.
The family will be at the funeral home from 3-5 p.m. today.

Burnell 'Bill' Norwood
Burnell "Bill" Norwood, 78, died Saturday at a local nursing home.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 U.S. Hwy. 277 South, with the Rev. David Cason officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Norwood was born in Hasse (Comanche County) and was a car salesman for Rocket Olds for 20 years. He had been in the car business for 36 years, working with Don Pierson Auto Sales in Comanche, Eastland and Amarillo prior to joining Rocket Olds. He moved to Abilene from Amarillo in 1963 and was a Baptist. He was a member of Rose Park Senior Citizens, Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was an Army veteran. He married Ola Faye Coats in 1939 in Comanche; she preceded him in death.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Norwood of Claude and Terry Norwood of Abilene; one sister, Sybil Moss of Mineral Wells; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.

Ted Pitts
VICTORIA - Ted Pitts, 87, former principal at Abilene Christian Schools and teacher and first girls track coach at Cooper High School, died Friday.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Rosewood Funeral Chapel with John Losher, Bob Crawford and Roy McLaurin officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Pitts was born in Quinlan and was a retired school administrator. He spent 18 years at Abilene Christian Schools and six at Cooper, retiring in 1975. He had been employed by the Quinlan and Sherman independent school districts and was a member of Central Church of Christ. He married Glenodine Odle Pitts in 1938.
Survivors include his wife, of Victoria; one daughter, Rebecca Nance of Fort Worth; one son, Jack Pitts of Victoria; one brother, G.W. Pitts of Greenville; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Abilene Christian Schools.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.

William Albert Clark
DESDEMONA - William Albert Clark, 78, died Friday at a Brownwood hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Church of Christ in Desdemona with Pete Hanks officiating. Burial will be in Desdemona Cemetery, directed by Bakker Funeral Home of Eastland.
Mr. Clark was born in Gorman and grew up in Desdemona. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a plant operator for Mobil Oil Corp. He worked in Desdemona, Kermit and Midland, retiring in 1980. He was a member of Desdemona Church of Christ. He married Ometa Roberts in 1966 in Midland.
Survivors include his wife, of Desdemona; one son, Gary Clark of Eastland; one daughter, Judy Thomas of Waco; two stepsons, David Lewis of Killeen and Rufus Lewis of Abilene; two stepdaughters, Doris Frith of Midland and Ruby Stewart of Olden; one sister, Velma Jackson of Tyler; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Reba Stubblefield
EASTLAND - Reba Stubblefield, 79, died Friday at a Bridgeport nursing center.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Harry Garvin officiating. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Eastland Cemetery, directed by Edwards Funeral Home.
Mrs. Stubblefield was born in Snyder and was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She married Charlie Stubblefield in 1938; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Charles Stubblefield of Abilene; one daughter, Carol Rynearson of Decatur; two brothers, Kenneth Pitner of Snyder and Ted Pitner of Hurst; one sister, Nita Patrick of Corsicana; two granddaughters, two great-grandsons and several nieces and nephews.

Marc Pitzer
BRECKENRIDGE - Marc Pitzer, 43, of Wichita Falls and formerly of Breckenridge, died Friday at his home.
Private graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Caddo Creek Cemetery in Stephens County. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church with the Revs. Carter Croft and Walter Beste officiating, directed by McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home of Graham.
Mr. Pitzer was born in Austin and lived in Breckenridge most of his life, moving to Wichita Falls during the past year. He graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1972 and was self-employed. He was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Stacie Pitzer of Wichita Falls; one son, Paul Pitzer of Ivan; one daughter, Mary Dale Pitzer of Ivan; three stepsons, Ash Garza of Ivan and Zack Avery and Jacob Avery, both of Wichita Falls; one stepdaughter, Emilie Avery of Wichita Falls; his parents, Phil Pitzer of Caddo and Polly Pitzer of Breckenridge; and one brother, Greg Pitzer of Breckenridge.

Preston 'Butch' Jordan
BROWNWOOD - Preston "Butch" Jordan, 53, of Richland Springs and formerly of Odessa, died Friday at a local hospital after a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Clydell Chapman officiating. Burial will be in Varga Chapel Cemetery in San Saba County.
Mr. Jordan was born in Los Angeles, Calif., and work in the oil industry and for MWL tool company for 20 years. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Odessa and had lived in Richland Springs for three years. He married Marsha Flurry in 1960 in Odessa.
Survivors include his wife, of Richland Springs; one son, Kenneth Jordan of Odessa; one sister, Cleta Lynch of Lubbock; one brother, Melvin Jordan of Fort Smith, Okla.; two grandsons and one niece.
