Amy Lora Brown
ROTAN - Amy Lora Brown, 99, died Friday at a Snyder health care center.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Troy Culpepper officiating. Burial will be in Belvieu Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brown was born in Freestone County and lived in the Rotan area most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She married Felix Brown in 1917 in Roby; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, F.W. Brown of Mabank; one daughter, Annie Mac McKimmey of Rotan; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Roy Hilmer Koch
BROWNWOOD - Roy Hilmer Koch, 80, died Saturday at his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lynn Turnbow officiating. Burial will be in Bangs Cemetery.
Mr. Koch was born in Brown County, where he lived all his life. He was a retired farmer and a member of Grace Baptist Church in Early. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his former wife, Ila Koch of Brownwood; one daughter, Brenda Beasley of Blanket; one son, Freddie Lee Koch of Brownwood; one sister, Marie Wallace of San Angelo; one granddaughter, one nephew and one niece.

Coleman Harkins
SWEETWATER - Coleman Harkins, 74, of Euless died Saturday at a Euless hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Roscoe Cemetery with Ken Fred officiating, directed by McCoy Funeral Home.
Mr. Harkins was born in Sweetwater and moved to Kingsland in 1979 from Houston. He retired from Houston Power and Light in 1979 and was a veteran of World War II and a Baptist. He married Mary Witherspoon in 1943 in Roscoe.
Survivors include his wife, of Euless; two daughters, Nancy Harkins of Euless and Donna Sue Fred of Bastrop; one son, Patrick Harkins of Austin; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Opal Cooper
SWEETWATER - Opal Cooper, 88, died Friday at a local care center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Orvel Brantley officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. today in Rose Hill Cemetery in Merkel.
Mrs. Cooper was born in Comanche and lived in Merkel and Trent for many years before moving to Sweetwater in 1981. She was a licensed vocational nurse at Saddler Clinic and Hospital and also in private practice. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Merkel. She married Pitillo Blunt Cooper in 1925 in Abilene.
Survivors include one daughter, Doris Williamson of Sweetwater; one sister, Bonnie Kelley of Mabank; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Roy DeBusk
SWEETWATER - Roy DeBusk, 89, died Saturday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with the Rev. George Herrington officiating. Burial will be in Sweetwater Cemetery.
Mr. DeBusk was born in Fisher County and was a lifelong resident of Fisher and Nolan counties. He was a minister and a barber and a Navy veteran of World War II. He married Martha Allene Tapp in 1931 in Sweetwater.
Survivors include his wife, of Sweetwater; one daughter, Darlene Long of Blackwell; two sons, William Leroy DeBusk of Carson City, Nev., and Paul Carroll DeBusk of Houston; one brother, Martin Weldon DeBusk of Broken Arrow, Okla.; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

W.R. 'Bill' Smith
HAMLIN - W.R. "Bill" Smith, 95, died Friday in Denton.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Tracy Watson officiating. Burial will be in Hamlin East Cemetery, directed by Foster-Adams Funeral Home.
Mr. Smith was born in Kaufman County and moved to the Hamlin area in 1912. He attended school in the Swedonia community in Fisher County and farmed there until retiring in 1971. He worked for Johnson Butane in Hamlin for many years and was a member of First Baptist Church and the Glory Singers, and was a former Sunday school teacher. He married Irma Lee Raley in 1941 in Fort Worth.
Survivors include his wife, of Hamlin; three sons, Raley Smith of Arlington, Stanley Smith of Mandeville, La., and Harold Smith of Hamlin; five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the music ministry at First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 8, Hamlin 79520.
The family will be at the funeral home from 4-6 p.m. today.

Natividad Gonzales
Natividad Gonzales, 86, of Abilene died Saturday at a local hospital.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Uecker officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill/Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Mr. Gonzales was born in Redford and attended school in Lubbock. He moved to Abilene in 1934 and was a cook at Royal Inn, retiring in 1987. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2012. He married Sara Ramirez in Lubbock.
Survivors include six daughters, Connie Ybarra of Merkel, Selia Castillo of El Paso, Dora Campos, Mary Ester Sanchez, Amparo Rodriguez and Antonia Quesada, all of Abilene; four sons, Ramen Gonzales of North Carolina, Abundio Gonzales of Houston, Nick Gonzales of Mesquite and David Gonzales of Abilene; 44 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

David Mac Emerson
David Mac Emerson, 53, of Abilene died Friday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 U.S. Hwy. 277 South, with the Rev. Mike Stedham officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Anson.
Mr. Emerson was born in Borger and attended school in Abilene, where he lived most of his life. He owned and operated Emerson Lighting from 1982-1990 and owned and operated The Antique Gallery, 2544 Barrow, from 1990 until his death. He was a member of South Side Baptist Church. He married Jan Spencer in 1973.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; one son, Cade Emerson of Abilene; one daughter, Dana (Mrs. Eddie) Gonzales of Abilene; one brother, Buford Lynn Emerson of Fort Worth; one nephew and two grandchildren.

Anne Pence
ANSON - Anne Pence, 71, died Saturday in Plano.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lee Welch officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Lawrence-Adams Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pence was born in Hamlin and lived in the Anson area all her life. She graduated from Anson High School in 1943 and attended Tarleton State University, Sul Ross State University, Hardin-Simmons University and the University of Hawaii. She graduated from Texas Tech University with a bachelor's degree and was a public school teacher in Anson for many years. She was a member of the Garden Club and First Baptist Church. She married Robert "Bob" Pence in 1947 in Anson.
Survivors include her husband, of Anson; one son, Louis Pence of Riverton, Wyo.; two daughters, Ruanne Crawford of Iowa Park and Francene Pierce of Plano; two sisters, Ruth Agnes Hays of Graham and Jane Magee of Abilene; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the hospice of the donor's choice or to West Texas Rehabilitation Center in Abilene.
