Iva Lenora Hageman
CISCO - Iva Lenora Hageman, 92, lifelong Cisco-area resident, died Thursday in a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Oakwood Cemetery with Joe Philpott officiating, directed by Chambers-Wilcox Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Hageman was a homemaker. She was a Baptist and was the widow of Otto Hageman.
Survivors include two grandchildren, Paula Hernandez and Mark Hildreth; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

R.D. Dawson
R.D. Dawson, 75, independent building contractor for more than 50 years, died Wednesday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. K.R. White officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange.
Mr. Dawson was born in Clarksville, where he grew up. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and was the widower of Opal Walker Dawson, whom he married in 1941.
Survivors include four daughters, Clara D. Turnerhill, Dolly Ross and Nancy Marie Cook, all of Abilene, and Hazel Scott of Dallas; one son, John Dawson of Abilene; two brothers, R.C. Dawson of Decatur and Chancey Dawson of Pomona, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family will be at 965 N. Carver.

Deana Mae Scism
Deana Mae Scism, 61, died Wednesday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory. Burial will be in Hamby Cemetery.
Mrs. Scism was born in Taylor County. She was a Baptist and was the widow of Garnell "Lucky" Scism.
Survivors include one son, Tracy Daniels of Stamford; two stepsons, Tim Scism of Midland and John Scism of Comanche, Okla.; one stepdaughter, Lolita Scism of Sioux City, Iowa; her parents, G.C. and Iva Lee Maxwell of Abilene; three brothers, Ronnie Maxwell of Anson, C.R. "Butch" Maxwell of Abilene and R.D. Maxwell of Hamlin; three sisters, Wanda Moore of Big Lake, and Nina Henry and Virginia Burdell, both of Abilene; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Aron Jackson
Aron Jackson, 63, died Thursday in Abilene.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Curtis-Starks Funeral Home, 542 E.N. 7th, with the Rev. Samuel Tabor officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery.
Mr. Jackson was born in Fairfield, where he attended school, and moved to Abilene in 1942. He worked as a mechanic and was formerly employed by Dr. Pepper Co. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include one son, Dennis Ray Jackson of Arlington; one daughter, Eva Nell Coffield of Abilene; two brothers, A.J. Jackson of Abilene and Johnny Lee Britt of Fort Worth; two sisters, Annie Laura Hickman and Annie Ruth Dukes, both of Fort Worth; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will be at 324 Willow.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.

C.P. Jones
C.P. Jones, 80, died Thursday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Allen-Korzenewski Funeral Home Chapel, 1443 N. 2nd, with the Revs. Mike Patterson and Riley Fugitt officiating. Burial will be in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Mr. Jones was born in Clarendon and married Carma Ann Thurman in 1939 in Wellington. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and worked for Phillips Petroleum Co. for 38 years before retiring in 1978. He was a longtime Borger resident and lived in El Paso for 20 years before moving to Abilene in 1984. He was a member of Wylie Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; two daughters, Ann Jordan of Abilene and Linda Joy Alwine of Sumner, Wash.; one son, Fredie Charles Jones of El Paso; two sisters, Evelyn Irwin of Amarillo and Clarice Hall of Clarendon; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mary Dick
FREMONT, Ohio - Mary E. Dick, 83, mother of an Abilene resident, died Thursday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens, directed by Wonderly-Horvath Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dick was born in Clyde, Ohio, and graduated from York High School in Ohio in 1932. She was a homemaker and worked at J.C. Penney Co. during the 1950s. She was a hospice volunteer and Campfire Girls guardian, and was the first woman to serve on the council of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. She also was president of the Women of Church and a member of the church's Women's Circle. She was the widow of Walter F. Dick whom she married in 1935 in Clyde, Ohio.
Survivors include one son, Haldon C. Dick of Corvallis, Ore.; three daughters, Audrey Ann Minier of Fremont, Arlene Martin of Port Clinton, Ohio, and Annette Bruneau of Abilene; one brother, James Ritchey of Clyde, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 902 E. State St., Fremont, Ohio 43420.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home, and 10-11 a.m. Monday in the church.

Bessie Lee Boyle Pope
BLADENBORO, N.C. - Bessie Lee Boyle Pope, 82, formerly of Abilene, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Galeed Baptist Church with the Rev. Bruce Cannon officiating. Burial will be in Singletary Cemetery, directed by Lewis Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pope was born in Wise County and lived in Abilene for 48 years. She moved to Bladen County in 1991.
Survivors include her husband, Bernard Alvin Pope of Bladenboro; one son, Dennis A. Pope of Vero Beach, Fla.; one daughter, Ann D. Smith of Bladenboro; one sister, Alma F. Giles of Bridgeport; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

Troy Fletcher Welch
SWEETWATER - Troy Fletcher Welch, 89, of Houston, brother of a Merkel resident, died Thursday in a Houston hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Sweetwater Cemetery with the Rev. Keith Clifton officiating, directed by Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Mr. Welch was born in Crandall and served in the military. He worked in the oil business as a lead burner and formerly lived in Port Arthur. He was the widower of Opal O. Welch.
Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Scott of Houston; two sisters, Jewel Drake of Longview and Carrie Tipton of Merkel; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Delia 'MaMa' Carter
Delia "MaMa" Carter, 83, of Hawley, died Friday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Hawley Church of Christ with Keith Justice officiating. Burial will be in Hawley Cemetery, directed by North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange.
Mrs. Carter grew up in Brownwood and Hawley, and married Wayne Carter in 1931 in Hawley. She worked for Carter Service Station in Hawley for 31 years and as a Hawley school custodian for six years. She was named Hawley's Outstanding Citizen in 1990 and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, of Hawley; one daughter, Brenda Carnes of Hawley; three sisters, Mozelle Houge and Thelma Simmons, both of Abilene, and Olena Franklin of Big Spring; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will be at 265 12th St. in Hawley.
