Francis Hendrickson Atchison
Francis Hendrickson Atchison, 76, died Wednesday in a Fort Worth hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Elmwood Memorial Park with the Rev. Mike Chancellor officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mrs. Atchison was born in Wichita Falls and attended school in Breckenridge. She moved to Abilene in 1962 from Midland and worked as a bookkeeper for Rita Barber Inc. for 20 years before retiring. She was a member of Crescent Heights Baptist Church and was the widow of C.L. Atchison, whom she married in 1946.
Survivors include two sons, Curtis Lynn Atchison of Crowley and David Atchison of Orlando, Fla.; one sister, Gladys Broyles of Abilene; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

James Delton Wilson
James Delton Wilson, 65, died Thursday at his home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Allen-Korzenewski Funeral Home Chapel, 1443 N. 2nd, with David Leyerle and Justin Culbertson officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Aspermont Cemetery.
Mr. Wilson was born in Stanton and married Betty L. Wilson in 1956 in Aspermont. He served in Vietnam and was in the U.S. Army for 20 years before retiring in 1974 as a staff sergeant. He moved to Abilene in 1985 from Big Springs, Ky., and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; two sons, Wayne Wilson of Anchorage, Alaska, and David Wilson of Texarkana, Ark.; one daughter, Cindy Betts of Abilene; one brother and one sister; and six grandchildren.

Johnnie Dodd
LAWN - Johnnie E. Dodd, 82, died Wednesday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Lawn Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Stevens officiating. Burial will be in McBee Cemetery, directed by Fry-Bartlett Funeral Home of Tuscola.
Mrs. Dodd was born in Bertram and moved to Lawn in 1949 from Tuscola. She, with her husband, owned and operated drug stores in Tuscola and Lawn, and Lawn Tank Cleaning Service. She was a homemaker. She was a Baptist and was the widow of R.L. "Raymond" Dodd, whom she married in 1930 in Brownwood.
Survivors include three daughters, Bette Meador of Hico, Marcelyn Smith of Lawn and Susan Womack of Abilene; two sisters, Charlda Johnson of Tuscola and Faye Lively of San Saba; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Walter 'Walt' Roach
KERRVILLE - Walter L. "Walt" Roach, 65, formerly of the Big Country, died Wednesday in a San Antonio hospital.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Kerrville First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Byron Myrick and Warren Hornung officiating. Arrangements were made by Kerrville Funeral Home.
Mr. Roach was born in Detroit, Texas, and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He married Barbara Ann House in 1957 in Santa Anna. He worked for Texas Pacific/Missouri Pacific Railroad for 11 years in Abilene, and then was employed by Continental Airlines in management and operations for 26 years in Dallas, Denver, Houston and San Antonio. After retiring from Continental, he operated a woodworking and craft business, and was a part-time driver for Hill Country Limousine. He moved to Kerrville in 1992 and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Kerrville; two daughters, Terri Saubert of Austin and Julie Roach of New York, N.Y.; one son, Scott Roach of Houston; one brother, Verner C. Roach of El Segundo, Calif.; one sister, Mary Alice Welch of Euless; one cousin; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Thompson Christian
MUNDAY - Thompson Christian, infant son of Jeff and Jennifer Christian, died Friday in an Abilene hospital.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in Munday Church of Christ with David Wray and Andrea Resner officiating. Arrangements were made by McCauley-Smith Funeral Home.
Survivors include his parents, of Munday; his maternal grandparents, Darrel and Sharlene Hoffmaster of Crockett; and his paternal grandparents, Betsy Christian of Dallas, and Ron and Barbara Christian of Carrollton.

Beulah 'Bunch' McCutchen
BROWNWOOD - Beulah "Bunch" McCutchen, 96, died Tuesday in a local nursing home after a lengthy illness.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Talpa Cemetery, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. McCutchen was born in Thrifty and was a homemaker. She moved to Brownwood in 1941. She was a Baptist and was the widow of Rosse Roy McCutchen, whom she married in 1921.
Survivors include one son, Lea Roy McCutchen of Brownwood; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Morrison Wesley Harber
MUNDAY - Morrison Wesley Harber, 81, of Elk City, Okla., and formerly of Knox County, died Wednesday in an Elk City hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Munday First United Methodist Church with Dr. Gary Harber and the Rev. William Sterling officiating. Burial will be in Brushy Cemetery, directed by McCauley-Smith Funeral Home.
Mr. Harber was born in Knox County and served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II. He, along with his wife, owned and operated a Ben Franklin store in Uvalde for about 30 years. He moved to Elk City, Okla. in 1993. He was a member of Elk City United Methodist Church and was the widower of Eleanor Griffith Harber, whom he married in 1935 in Altus, Okla.
Survivors include one son, Gary Harber of Elk City, Okla.; one daughter, Jan Capps of Tuxedo, N.C.; one brother, James Franklin Harber of Brackettville; one sister, Bessie Claburn of Odessa; and seven grandchildren.

Jack Wilson
BROWNWOOD - Jack M. Wilson, 76, died Wednesday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Allen officiating. Burial will be in Greenleaf Cemetery.
Mr. Wilson was born in Temple and was a longtime Brownwood resident. He served as a flight instructor in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He graduated from the University of Texas and worked as a certified public accountant for Tommy Vaughn Motors in Houston from 1967-89. He was a member of Coggin Avenue Baptist Church and was the widower of Monette Ludwick Wilson, whom he married in Raton, N.M.
Survivors include one son, Jack M. Wilson Jr. of Garland; one daughter, Mona Merriman of Brownwood; his stepmother, Loutishia Wilson of Charlotte, N.C.; one sister, Mary Thomason of Brownwood; one stepsister, Bennie Wallace of Charlotte, N.C.; one stepbrother, Ben Ed Wilson of Waco; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Joseph Weldon Bailey
MAY - Joseph Weldon Bailey, 89, died Thursday in a Brownwood hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel in Rising Star with Dick Williams and James McLeod officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Valley Cemetery.
Mr. Bailey was born near May in Brown County and graduated from Howard Payne and Hardin-Simmons universities. He was a school teacher and administrator in the Brown County area and then a junior high principal in Eastland before retiring in 1971. He was a member of Early Lions Club and was the widower of Elma Smith Bailey, whom he married in 1929. He married Lilian Metcalf in 1982 and was a deacon, Sunday school teacher and song leader at First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of May; two sons, Troy Bailey of Abilene and Burl Bailey of Fort Worth; one stepdaughter, Bobbie Hofseth of Colorado Springs, Colo.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
