Rosalie Curry
LUBBOCK - Rosalie Curry, 74, formerly of Abilene, died Friday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday in White Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Mr. Shirley Curry officiating. Burial will be in Post Cemetery.
Mrs. Curry was born in Garza County and graduated from Tahoka High School. She married John B. Curry in 1939 in Grassland and was a homemaker. She moved to Lubbock in 1968 from Abilene and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, of Lubbock; four sons, Mark Curry of Alpine, Gary Curry of Lubbock, John Curry of Monahans and David Curry of Levelland; one sister, Lois Roberts of Tahoka; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to Hendrick Home for Children, 2758 Jeanette, Abilene 79602; or a favorite charity.

Mabell James Barnes
RANGER - Mabell James Barnes, 84, died Friday in Sweetwater.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Merriman Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Lively officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, directed by Edwards Funeral Home.
Mrs. Barnes was born in Elk in McLennan County and graduated from Ranger High School in 1929. She married Gilmer Joe Barnes and worked as a licensed vocational nurse for the Works Progress Administration Kindergarten Program during World War II and the Baird Hospital before returning to Ranger. She was employed by Ranger General Hospital for 21 years before retiring due to ill health in 1978. She was a member of Merriman Baptist Church, where she operated the nursery for many years.
Survivors include one daughter, Betty G. Goforth of Trent; two sons, Gilmer Gordon Barnes of Abilene and Robin Joe Barnes of Stanton; one brother, D.L. James of Odessa; one sister, Elva Eugene Blackwell of Abilene; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Bertha Bontke Lichte
LITTLEFIELD - Bertha Anna Bontke Lichte, 101, formerly of Abilene, died Wednesday in a local nursing home after a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Emmanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Herb Keistman officiating. Burial will be in Littlefield Memorial Park, directed by Hammons Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lichte was born in Abilene, where she graduated from high school. She was a church pianist and organist in Abilene before moving to the Littlefield area in 1926. She was a homemaker and was a childcare worker in the 1950s and '60s. At the time of her death, she was the oldest member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She was the widow of Arthur Edgar "Art" Lichte, whom she married in 1926 in Abilene.
Survivors include one daughter, Ernestine Lichte of Littlefield; one sister-in-law, Inez Lichte of Littlefield; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
Memorials may be sent to a favorite charity.

Oleta Faye Welch
GORMAN - Oleta Faye Welch, 86, formerly of Benjamin, died Friday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Benjamin First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Maddox officiating. Burial will be in Vera Cemetery, directed by Smith Funeral Home of Knox City.
Mrs. Welch was born in Carlsbad, Texas, and was a homemaker. She moved to Gorman in 1989 from Benjamin. She was a member of Gorman Baptist Church and was the widow of James B. Welch, whom she married in 1925 in Hale County.
Survivors include one son, Harold D. Welch of Gorman; two brothers, Bill Rutledge of Odessa and Harold Rutledge of San Antonio; two sisters, Leveine Frye of Lubbock and Reba Smith of San Antonio; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Wayne Grubb
HURST - Wayne Grubb, 73, Bangs native, died Wednesday in Bedford.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Pipe Line Road Church of Christ. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park in Fort Worth, directed by Arlington Funeral Home of Arlington.
Mr. Grubb moved to Hurst in 1955 from Fort Worth and was self-employed in the housing industry. He was a member of Pipe Line Road Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Rubye Grubb of Hurst; one son, Ronny Grubb of Arlington; two daughters, Revis Plemmons of Bedford and Renay Jones of Watauga; two brothers, Durward Grubb of Nacogdoches and Forrest Grubb of Richland Hills; and five grandchildren.

Louella Cook
BRECKENRIDGE - Louella Cook, 75, died Thursday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Morehart Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery.
Mrs. Cook was born in San Marcos and attended school in Sheffield. She was a homemaker and moved to Caddo in 1940 and Breckenridge in 1967. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was the widow of Charles W. Cook, whom he married in 1938 in Rankin.
Survivors include one daughter, Bettye Vick of Breckenridge; one son, Mack Cook of Baytown; three brothers, Charles Wooliever of Wayne, Mich., Richard Wooliever of Charlotte, Mich., and Eugene Wooliever of Port Huron, Mich.; one sister, Yvonne Pelton of Orting, Wash.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels and left at the funeral home.

Hettie Erwin Taylor
COLORADO CITY - Hettie Erwin Taylor, 91, of Lubbock and formerly of Mitchell County, died Friday in a Lubbock nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Colorado City Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Spence officiating, directed by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Taylor was born in Cuthbert and was a homemaker. She lived in Dunn and Colorado City before moving to Lubbock in 1988. She was a Presbyterian and was the widow of Arlie M. Taylor, whom she married in 1923 in Mitchell County.
Survivors include many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Lollie Obenhaus Daniel
BROWNWOOD - Lollie Obenhaus Daniel, 73, switchboard operator at Howard Payne University for 18 years before retiring, died Thursday at her home after a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Brownwood First Baptist Church with Dr. Ron Cook officiating. Burial will be in North Brown Cemetery in Mills County, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Daniel was born in Mills County and graduated from Goldthwaite High School in 1941. She married O.L. Daniel in 1942 in Goldthwaite and attended Draughan's Business College in Austin. She moved to Brownwood in 1945 and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, of Brownwood; two sons, Ed Daniel of Arlington and Pat Daniel of Granbury; one daughter, Debbie Twiford of Goldthwaite; three sisters, Myrtle Touchstone and Ruth Browning, both of Brownwood, and Belva Howard of San Antonio; and four grandchildren.

Bill Posey
STAMFORD - Bill Posey, 58, formerly of Rotan, died Thursday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Rotan Church of Christ with Barry Day officiating. Burial will be in Rotan Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee Funeral Home of Rotan.
Mr. Posey was born in Rotan and was a U.S. Army veteran. He moved to Stamford in 1977 from Rotan and worked as a computer technician.
Survivors include one aunt, Louada Posey of Rotan; one uncle, Dave Posey of Rotan; and many cousins.
