Ida Malone Norton Black
VICTORIA - Ida Malone Norton Black, 102, of Weatherford and formerly of Abilene, died Sunday in Victoria.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Oakland Cemetery in Weatherford, directed by Rosewood Funeral Chapels.
Mrs. Black was the widow of Col. Temple Black.
Survivors include one daughter, Marjorie Black Alkek of Victoria; and two grand-nieces.

Carmen Suniga
BAIRD - Carmen D. Suniga, 76, died Sunday at an Abilene care center.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Parker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Garza officiating. Burial will be in Ross Cemetery Annex.
Mrs. Suniga was born in Lometa and had lived in Baird since 1931. She worked for Lankfords Garments in Abilene and was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She married Juan Suniga in 1938 in Baird.
Survivors include her husband, of Baird; two sons, Ruben Suniga of Abilene and Robert Suniga of Charleston, S.C.; three sisters, Irma McBride of Baird, Antonio Martinez of Abilene and Henrietta Gutterez of La Luz, N.M.; two brothers, Henry Davila and Daniel Davila, both of Abilene; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

W.F. 'Dub' Wilcox
HAMLIN - W.F. "Dub" Wilcox, 77, died Monday at an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Central Baptist Church with the Rev. James Brigham officiating. Burial will be in Hamlin East Cemetery, directed by Foster-Adams Funeral Home.
Mr. Wilcox was born in Fisher County and was a lifetime resident of the area. He worked as a route salesman for a vending company and was a member of Central Baptist Church. He married Christine Bigham in 1946 in Roby.
Survivors include his wife, of Hamlin; two sons, Ben Wilcox of Ruidoso, N.M., and Ronnie Wilcox of Abilene; one daughter, Barbara West of Azle; one brother, Troy Wilcox of Stamford; one sister, Corine Wilder of Hamlin; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Kevin Guy Ruff
ALBANY - Kevin Guy Ruff, 21, formerly of Albany, died Saturday at a Shreveport, La., hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Albany Church of Christ with Brian Cope officiating. Burial will be in Albany Cemetery, directed by Morehart Mortuary.
Mr. Ruff was born in Albany and graduated from Albany High School in 1995. He attended DeVry Institute in Irving and was employed by Pep Boys there and in Shreveport.
Survivors include his parents, Bill and Billie Ruff of Albany; one brother, Corey Ruff of Levelland; one sister, Amy Ruff of Lubbock; a grandfather, James Ruff of Breckenridge; and numerous other relatives.
Memorials to the donor's favorite charity may be left at the funeral home.

Lonnie Walraven
COLORADO CITY - Lonnie Walraven, 32, died Monday at his home.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Colorado City Cemetery with Peter Klien officiating, directed by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Walraven was born in Loraine and lived in Colorado City all his life. He was an oil field worker and a member of Jehovah's Witness.
Survivors include his parents, Earl and Julia Walraven of Colorado City; a grandfather, Jack Kahler of Colorado City; and a great-grandmother, Laura Alice Barnfield of Colorado City.

Doris Anderson
THROCKMORTON - Doris Anderson, 79, died Sunday at a Haskell hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Merriman-Archer Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Eric Clark officiating. Burial will be in Throckmorton Cemetery.
Mrs. Anderson was born in Throckmorton County and lived in Haskell Country for 32 years. She pastored for 27 years, ending with the Church of God in Rochester. She was a member of the Church of God. She married R.L. Anderson in 1933 in Elbert; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn King of Haskell and Gwen Falco of Mesquite; one son, Robbie Dean Anderson of Knox City; one sister, Lessie Moore of Haskell; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Ewing Mathis
HASKELL - Ewing L. Mathis, 70, of Talihina, Okla., died Monday at a Talihina hospital.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Griffith officiating, directed by Holden-McCauley Funeral Home.
Mr. Mathis was born in Haskell County and graduated from Sagerton High School in 1945. He was an Army veteran of World War II and an Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1958 with a degree in agriculture education. He lived in Dimmitt, where he worked for Plainview Production Credit Association from 1958-1964. He moved to Guymon, Okla., in 1964 and was a farmer until retiring in 1991. He moved to Tulsa, Okla., in 1992 and joined Cornerstone Church, then moved to Broken Arrow, Okla., in 1997. He had lived in Talihina since December. He married Marjorie Coleman in 1947 in Haskell.
Survivors include his wife, of Talihina; two sons, Jim Ray Mathis of Claxton, Ga., and Jay Lee Mathis of Guymon; one daughter, Mariann Mathis-Wallace of Tulsa; three sisters, Gearldean Sterrgel of Phoenix, Ariz., Addline Kohout of Stamford and Veeta Reid of O'Brien; three brothers, Marcus Mathis, Harmon Mathis of Sagerton and Marvin Mathis of Goodwell, Okla., and five grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Feed the Children, c/o Larry Jones, Oklahoma City OK; or Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, Amarillo.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7-8 p.m. today and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday.

Robert 'Bob' Whitman
BRECKENRIDGE - Robert W. "Bob" Whitman, 91, died Monday at his home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Johnny Miller officiating. Private burial services will be directed by Morehart Mortuary.
Mr. Whitman was born in Haskell and graduated from Haskell High School in 1925. He graduated from Danforth School of Pharmacy, moved to Breckenridge in 1932 and worked for Reid Drug and Hood Drug stores. He was part owner of Bowen Drug, which became Whitman Drug in 1964. He operated the business until 1974, then worked part-time for Weaver Oats in Albany. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and Couples' Sunday school class. He married Gertrude Lomax in 1935.
Survivors include his wife, of Breckenridge; one son, Bill Whitman of Fort Worth; one brother, John Whitman of Dallas; two granddaughters and two nieces.
Memorials to Hendrick Hospice, First United Methodist Church, Meals on Wheels or the donor's favorite charity may be left at the funeral home.

Blanche Hubbard
HAMLIN - Blanche Hubbard, 90, died Monday at a Fort Worth care center.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Howard Jones officiating. Burial will be in Neinda Cemetery, directed by Foster-Adams Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hubbard was born in Boyds Chapel and lived in Jones County until moving to Mineral Wells in 1993. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She married Travis Hubbard in 1924 in Neinda; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include three daughters, Hilda Bristow of Arlington, Martha Clayton of Paradise and Mary Jo Condra of Fort Worth; one son, Charles Hubbard of Euless; two brothers, Cloyce Young of Grand Saline and Burl Young of Duncan, Okla.; two sisters, Mary Pat Dytri and Clarabell Rainwater, both of Anson; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association.

Ruby Clothilde Hughes
STAMFORD - Ruby Clothilde Hughes, 84, died Monday at an Abilene hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Springcreek Cemetery in Avoca with Chad Massey officiating, assisted by Jody McGaughey, directed by Tankersley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hughes was born in Haskell County and lived in the area all her life. She retired from Skyview Living Center and Teakwood Manor Nursing Home. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She married Morris Earl "Slue" Hughes in 1935 in Stamford; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Dolin Hughes of Stamford; and two sisters, Margaret Bolding of Stamford and Peggy Phillips of San Angelo.
