William 'Bill' Fetterly
MIDLAND - William "Bill" Fetterly, 75, formerly of the Big Country, died Friday at his home.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Putnam Cemetery with Bob Schlagal officiating, directed by Ellis Funeral Home.
Mr. Fetterly was born in Brownwood and attended school in Baird. He served with the U.S. Coast Guard in World War II. He worked for the county tax appraisal office until retiring in 1983 and was the widower of Emma Geneva Isenhower Fetterly, whom he married in 1945. He married Evelyn Ivey in 1995 and was a Shriner. He was a member of Alamo Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Midland; one son, David Fetterly of Lafayette, La.; one stepdaughter, Linda Fitts of Midland; two sisters, Ida Louise Anderson of Crane and Mary Friery of Palacios; two grandchildren; and two nieces and two nephews.

G. Eldene Lovelace
BROWNWOOD - G. Eldene Lovelace, 86, of Ransom Canyon and formerly of Brownwood, died Wednesday in a Lubbock hospital after a brief illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Coggin Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Allen officiating. Burial will be in Greenleaf Cemetery, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lovelace was born in Brownwood, where she lived for 84 years. She worked as an office manager and dental assistant for Dr. Robert H. Johnson until retiring. She was a member of Coggin Avenue Baptist Church in Brownwood and was the widow of William Homer Lovelace, whom she married in 1927 in Brownwood.
Survivors include one son, William F. Lovelace of Dallas; one daughter, Sue Keveryn of Ransom Canyon; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Erbie Rodgers Sr.
ROTAN - Erbie Rodgers Sr., 84, died Friday in an Austin nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Rotan First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Holder officiating. Burial will be in Neinda Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee Funeral Home.
Mr. Rodgers was born in Gorman and moved to McCaulley in 1932 and Rotan in 1943. He served with the U.S. Infantry in World War II and worked for National Gypsum Co. He then owned and operated an Exxon service station until retiring. He was a longtime worker with Rotan Little League and was a volunteer for the Fisher County Food Pantry and Clothes Closet. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and was the widower of Cora Mae Lawlis Rodgers, whom he married in 1936.
Survivors include one son, Erbie Rodgers Jr. of Pflugerville; and two grandchildren.

Teresa Lee 'Terrie' Wheeler Gilchrist
BROWNWOOD - Teresa Lee "Terrie" Wheeler Gilchrist, 41, died Friday in a Fort Worth hospital after a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Early First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerry P. Galloway officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, directed by Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
Mrs. Gilchrist was born in Lindsay, Calif., and attended school in Brownwood and May. She married Timothy R. Gilchrist in 1993 in Brownwood and was a homemaker. She was active in United Methodist Women at Early First United Methodist Church.
Survivor include her husband, of Brownwood; one son, J.C. Pruett of Early; one daughter, Laura Pruett of Early; her parents, Frenchie and Wanda Wheeler of May; two sisters, Karen Allen of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Rhonda Lindsay of Brownwood; one grandchild; and many niece, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Ivan Eugene Foltz
Services for Ivan Eugene Foltz, 79, formerly of Abilene, will be at 2 p.m. today at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with Price Mathieson officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Foltz, who died Friday in a Mansfield nursing home, was born in Grafton, Neb., where he attended school, and served with the U.S. Army in World War II. He moved to Abilene in 1967 from Houston. He worked for Gulf Oil for four years and as a truck driver for Merchants Motor Lines for 28 years until retiring. He was a Methodist and was the widower of Frances Elliott Foltz, whom he married in 1942 in Abilene.
Survivors include one daughter, Vikki Hornbaker of Arlington; one brother, Floyd Foltz of Richmond, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to American Hospice, 1349 Empire Central, Dallas 75247.
The family will be at 5231 Durango.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Pansy McClatchey
Pansy McClatchey, 73, of Abilene died Saturday at a Weatherford nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Allen-Korzenewski Funeral Home Chapel, 1443 N. 2nd., with the Revs. Rufus Wilson and Mike Bradford officiating. Burial will be in Hamby Cemetery.
Mrs. McClatchey was born in Hamby and was a practical nurse for many years for Jackson Nursing Services. She was a member of Cora Posey Chapter 1072, Order of the Eastern Star, and College View Baptist Church. She married Charles E. McClatchey Sr. in 1938; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Charles E. McClatchey Jr. of Hawley; one daughter, Donna Risley of Weatherford; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

LaVerne McNeil
STAMFORD - LaVerne McNeil, 86, died Saturday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at St. John's United Methodist Church with Dr. Phil McClendon officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery, directed by Tankersley Funeral Home.
Mrs. McNeil was born in Clyde and was a homemaker and a retied teacher and librarian. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church. She married L.B. McNeil Jr. in 1935 in Stamford.
Survivors include her husband, of Stamford; one son, Larry McNeil of Arlington; two brothers, Derrell Collins of Freeport and Richard Collins of Granbury; three sisters, Claire Hughes of Dallas, Ruth Bristow of Abilene and Morris Howard of Athens, Tex.; one grandson and one great-granddaughter.

Harold Nelson
HAMLIN - Harold Nelson, 67, died Saturday at a local hospital.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Revs. Tracy Watson and James Brigham officiating. Burial will be Monday morning in Hamlin East Cemetery, directed by Foster-Adams Funeral Home.
Mr. Nelson was born in the Dovie community and attended schools in rural Jones County and Hamlin. He was a farmer and stockman and lived in Jones County most of his life. He was a 32nd-degree Mason and a member of Scottish Rite and Shriners. He was worthy patron of Eastern Star and a member of First Baptist Church. He married Gladys Gregory in 1949 in Anson.
Survivors include his wife, of Anson; two sons, Ronnie Nelson of Hamlin and Donnie Nelson of Abilene; his mother and stepfather, Jewel and Wesley Nelson of Pensacola, Fla.; one brother, Loy Lee Nelson of Smithville; one sister, Shirley Leatherwood of Austin; and four grandchildren.

Mike Martinez
COLEMAN - Mike Martinez, 82, died Saturday at an Abilene hospital.
Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Walker Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sacred Hearth Catholic Church with the Rev. Larry Cyre officiating. Burial will be in Burkett Cemetery.
Mr. Martinez was born in Austin and lived in Coleman County most of his life. He was a laborer and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He married Manuela Holguin in 1937 in Coleman.
Survivors include his wife, of Coleman; four daughters, Lucy Martinez and Connie Jauregui, both of Coleman, Hope Martinez Saez of Chicago, Ill., and Shirley Torres of Ontario, Calif.; two sons, Richard Martinez and Fernando Martinez Sr., both of Coleman; two sisters, Simona de la Rosa and Simona "Chichina" Rosales, both of Coleman; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday.
