Odessa 'Grandma' Baumguardner Lindley
BROWNWOOD - Odessa "Grandma" Baumguardner Lindley, 83, lifelong local resident, died Tuesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Jason Studdard officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery in Brady.
Mrs. Lindley was born in Hico and was a homemaker. She was a Pentecostal and was the widow of Dee J. Baumguardner, whom she married in 1931 in Fredonia; and Charles Burch.
Survivors include three daughters, Nora Edwards and DeAnn Williams, both of Brownwood, and Edna Kemmitz of Brookesmith; one son, Bobby Baumguardner of Lake Brownwood; two sisters, Mary Davis of Dalongia, Ga., and Robbie Scheffler of Bastrop; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Louise Bradley
EASTLAND - Louise Bradley, 67, formerly of Cisco, died Wednesday at her home.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Oakwood Cemetery in Cisco with the Rev. John C. Jones officiating, directed by Kimbrough Funeral Home of Cisco.
Mrs. Bradley was born in Paducah, Ky., and also formerly lived in Rising Star. She worked as a registered nurse. She attended Mountain Top Church and was the widow of Lewis Bradley Sr., whom she married in 1957 in Farmington, N.M.
Survivors include one daughter, Randa Bishop of Eastland; one son, Chuck Bradley of Eastland; one brother, Terry Wade of Farmington, N.M.; one sister, Cladean Kisner of Cisco; and two grandchildren.

C.B. Dudley
BROWNWOOD - C.B. Dudley, 80, died Monday in Granbury.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Early with Jerry Galloway, Kalvin Kelly and R.D. Williams officiating. Burial will be in Greenleaf Cemetery.
Mr. Dudley was born in Carbon. He was a Baptist and was the widower of Olevia Spurlock Dudley, whom he married in 1960.
Survivors include one stepson, Harold Dudley of Rising Star; three stepdaughters, Frances Peters of Granbury, Jolene Brewer of Brownwood and Charlene Burleson of Early; one sister, Frances McFall of Brownwood; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Velma Pauline Wilson
STAMFORD - Velma Pauline Wilson, 83, nurse's aide at Teakwood Manor nursing home for many years until retiring, died Tuesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Mount Olive Baptist Church with the Rev. Jessie Hooper officiating. Burial will be in Stamford West Cemetery, directed by Tankersley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wilson was born in Longview. She was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church and was the widow of Willie Wilson, whom she married in 1935 in Stamford.
Survivors include one nephew, Lonnie Woods of Baldwin Park, Calif.; and one sister-in-law, Corine Horn of Stamford.

James Brinson
COLEMAN - James Brinson, 29, died Tuesday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. David Jenkins and Ray Bruce officiating. Burial will be in Coleman Cemetery.
Mr. Brinson was born in Dallas and moved to Coleman in 1982. He graduated from Coleman High School in 1986. He married Jackie Herring in 1990 in Coleman and worked at the Shoppin' Baskit for several years. He was a member of the Camp Colorado Minute Men, a group that re-enacts frontier living, and also was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, of Coleman; one son, Austin Charles Brinson of Coleman; one daughter, Catharian Joy Marie Brinson of Coleman; his parents, Jimmy and Joy Brinson of Coleman; one brother, Jimmy Brinson of Bangs; one sister, Tina Rankin of Coleman; his grandmother, Jo Hankamer of Coleman; four aunts and three uncles; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Verlie Turner
STEPHENVILLE - Verlie B. Turner, 67, father of a Gorman resident, died Tuesday in a Brownwood hospital.
Graveside services with military honors will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Oakland Cemetery near Gorman with Craig Rhoton officiating, directed by Higginbotham Funeral Home of Gorman.
Mr. Turner was born in Lampasas and was in the U.S. Navy for more than 20 years before retiring. He served in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He married Mary Slone in 1952 in Gorman and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Stephenville. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, of Stephenville; two daughters, Lorenia Wright of Stephenville and Kathey Ervin of Gorman; one brother, Billy G. Turner of Lampasas; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Wilson Middleton
BALLINGER - Wilson E. Middleton, 79, of San Angelo and formerly of Ballinger, died Tuesday in San Angelo.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Carl Rohlfs officiating, directed by Rains-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Middleton was born in Ballinger and served with the U.S. Army's 36th Division during World War II. He worked as a route foreman for Meads Bakery before retiring and then was employed by Schuck Motor Co. and Mitchell Pontiac Toyota in San Angelo for many years. He was the widower of Mary E. Donham Middleton, whom he married in 1935 in Ballinger.
Survivors include two brothers, Price Middleton of San Angelo and Fred Middleton of Louisiana; and many nieces and nephews.

Paul Allen Keaton Sr.
Paul Allen Keaton Sr., 87, retired chief executive officer of Keaton Kolor, died Thursday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in North's Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 4002 Buffalo Gap Road, with Paul White officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Keaton was born in Weatherford and served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He managed Duke & Ayers stores in Mexia, Jacksonville and McKinney from 1933-47 and was an International Harvester dealer in Snyder from 1948-64. He was chief executive officer of Paul Keaton & Co. and Keaton Kolor Photographic Products and Services, and formerly operated stores in Big Spring, San Angelo, Brownwood, Snyder and Sweetwater. He also operated three stores in Abilene.
He was a 50-year member of the Lions Club and formerly served on the White House Education Conference, Citizens Advisory Council for state position classification and the governor's Highway Safety Council. He was a consultant to Litton Educational Systems and director of schools in Franklin, Ind., and Columbus, S.C., from 1964-69. He was a director of Texas Butane Dealers for four years, a Snyder school trustee for five years and served on the Texas Association of School Boards executive council for four years. He was a former chairman of the United Fund in Snyder and was affiliated with the Methodist Annual Conference for 20 years. He was a member of First Methodist Church and was the widower of Ruth Dorman Keaton, whom he married in 1936.
Survivors include one son, Allen Keaton; one daughter, Paula Carroll of Hawley; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will be at 1301 Minter Lane.

Richard Kenneth Oller Sr.
Richard Kenneth Oller Sr., 61, died Wednesday in a local hospital after a sudden illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Oldham Lane Church of Christ with Jimmy Jividen and Don Canter officiating. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Oklahoma City with Larry McKenzie officiating, directed by North's Funeral Home, 4002 Buffalo Gap Road.
Mr. Oller was born in Seminole, Okla., and attended Putman City School in Oklahoma City and Abilene Christian University. He worked as a school teacher and administrator in La Junta, Colo. He was an assistant school superintendent in Dalhart and was the school superintendent in Texline and Sunray before retiring in 1995. He then moved to Abilene. He was a hospice volunteer, and was a Church of Christ elder and Bible school teacher in Texline, Dalhart and Sunray. He was an elder and Bible school teacher at Oldham Lane Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Melba Oller of Abilene; two sons, Richard Kenneth Oller Jr. of Trent and Erik Oller of Pueblo, Colo.; one daughter, Gae Lynn McInroe of Whiteface; one sister, Karen Davis of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren; and one nephew and two nieces.
Memorials may be sent to Christian Homes of Abilene, 242 Beech, Abilene 79601; and Hendrick Hospice Care, P.O. Box 1922, Abilene 79604.
Visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.
