Frank Harrell
ODESSA - Frank K. Harrell, 64, formerly of Abilene, died April 19 from injuries received in an automobile accident between Ballinger and Bronte.
Services were held April 22 in Sixth and Jackson Church of Christ with Joe Cross, R.B. Hunnicutt and Charles Jones officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens, directed by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Mr. Harrell was born in Sanderson and served with the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He graduated from Sul Ross State University in 1953. He moved to Odessa in 1956 and married Patsy Murphy Niemczak in 1958 in Durango, Colo. In 1959, he started Franks Fuels, which he owned and operated until his death. He helped start the Odessa Christian School and was a board member since 1966. He also was involved in the Ector County Jail Ministry for 20 years, a Little League baseball coach for eight years and a supporter of the Gideons. He was a member of Parkview Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, of Odessa; two sons, Mark Harrell of Midland and Daniel Harrell of Smyrna, Tenn.; four daughters, Lydia Lyon of Abilene, and Leah Harrell, Rachel Haner and Elisabeth Harrell, all of Odessa; three brothers, Aubrey Harrell of Ozona, Jake Harrell of Abilene and Jack Harrell of Dryden; one sister, Helen Garner of Odessa; 15 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Hans 'John' Adam
MERKEL - Hans J. "John" Adam, 57, of Lubbock, whose wife grew up in Merkel, died Wednesday at his home.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today in Sunset Church of Christ in Lubbock with Dan Rouse and Frankie McKinney officiating. Graveside services with military honors will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Rose Hill Cemetery with Joe Gregory officiating, directed by Starbuck Funeral Home.
Mr. Adam was born in Saarbruecken, Germany, and moved to the United States in 1951. He attended Texas A&M University and served with the U.S. Army and Air Force. He was a Vietnam War veteran. He operated a high performance machine shop in College Station and worked for Walker Mufflers for 14 years. He co-started Matthew Adam Discount Distributing Inc., an automotive parts wholesale warehouse, in 1987. He married Ghronda Tarpley in 1994 in Stith in Jones County. He was a director of Texas World Speedway in College Station and was a member of Hillcrest Country Club and Sunset Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, of Lubbock; one son, Richard Ray Patke of Grand Prairie; two daughters, Johnna Arden of Bryan and Deidra Ann Johnson of Livingston; his mother, Gertrude Krise of Bryan; one sister, Margaret Mains of San Antonio and Wichita, Kan.; one brother, Klaus Michael Adam of Killeen; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will follow the service at the church until 6 p.m. today, and also will be held Saturday from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Merkel Church of Christ Family Life Center.

Bill Stovall
BROWNWOOD - Bill Stovall died Thursday at his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Don Newbury officiating. Burial will be in Greenleaf Cemetery.
Mr. Stovall was born in Coleman County and lived most of his life in Brownwood. He married Frances Spain in 1962 in Wichita Falls and formerly worked as a sports writer for the Brownwood Bulletin. He was named Sportswriter of the Year in 1967 by the Lone Star Conference, and also was named Sportswriter of the Year in 1977 and 1990 by the Texas High School Coaches Association.
Survivors include his wife, of Brownwood; one son, Mitch Stovall of Brownwood; one daughter, Stephanie Stovall of Brownwood; three sisters, Fae Benson of Monterey, Calif., Minnie Henderson of Fort Smith, Ark., and Dorothy Yeary of Orange Grove; and many nieces and nephews.

Lylia Ozella Pulley
GORMAN - Lylia Ozella Pulley, 94, died Tuesday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Kevin Rocket and Max Perkins officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Ms. Pulley was born in Rappaho, Okla., and was a school teacher. She also was a clerical worker for the city of Gorman and Texas Electric in Gorman. She was a life member of the Rebecka Lodge and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one brother, Lowell W. Pulley of Roswell, N.M.; and several nieces and nephews.

Baylee Alexis Jones
BAIRD - Baylee Alexis Jones, 2, of Mesquite, relative of four Baird residents, died Wednesday in a Dallas hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Ross Cemetery Annex with the Rev. Jack Willoughby officiating, directed by Parker Funeral Home.
Baylee was born in Garland.
Survivors include her parents, Bobby Dan and Renee Ann Jones of Mesquite; one sister, Brittney Brianne Jones of Mesquite; her maternal grandparents, Sharon and Tom Russo of Sachse; her paternal grandparents, Jimmy and Tommie Jones of Baird; her paternal great-grandparents, Bill and Ruby Betcher of Baird, and Susie Jones of Jal, N.M.; and many aunts and uncles.

Emilenda Cortez Cavanaugh
WINTERS - Emilenda Cortez Cavanaugh, 37, lifelong local resident, died Tuesday at her home.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Lakeview Cemetery, directed by Winters Funeral Home.
Ms. Cavanaugh was born in Winters and worked at Bahlman Cleaners. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include three sons, Daniel Jeremiah Cortez, Joshua Ron Cavanaugh and Epifanio Jared Cortez, all of Winters; her parents, Mary and Pete Cortez of Winters; one brother, Jessie Cortez of Winters; three sisters, Aline Cortez of Bonsville, Mass., and Alice Cortez and Eloisa Lara, both of Winters; and one grandchild.

Walter Joe Lee
NEWBURG - Walter Joe Lee, 70, lifelong Comanche County resident, died Wednesday at his home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Hall & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Comanche. Burial will be in Comanche Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Mr. Lee was born in Comanche and served with the U.S. Army in World War II. He married Tommie Smith in 1949 in Comanche. He was a self-employed auto mechanic and was a farmer. He was a member of South Leon Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Newburg; one daughter, Paula Fields of Newburg; three brothers, Marvin Lee and William Lee, both of Newburg, and Henry Lee of Waxahachie; and two grandchildren.

Jose Angel Molina
Jose Angel Molina, infant, died Thursday in a Dallas hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. David Matz officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Jose was born April 23 in Abilene.
Survivors include his mother, Sylvia S. Molina of Abilene; his grandmother, Alicia S. Molina; and one aunt.

Cora Howland
CROSS PLAINS - Cora Howland, 106, died Wednesday in Paris, Texas.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel with Knox Waggoner and Dr. Jim O'Dell officiating. Burial will be in Cottonwood Cemetery.
Ms. Howland was born in Cottonwood and graduated from Simmons College, now Hardin-Simmons University, in 1918. She was a homemaker and moved to Cross Plains from Paris, Texas. She was a member of Cross Plains Senior Citizens Center and First Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Gail Martin; one granddaughter, Becky Reaves; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Elnora Scott Neinast
HAMMOND, Ind. - Elnora Scott Neinast, 82, formerly of the Big Country, died Tuesday.
Services were held Friday in Burns-Kish Funeral Home Chapel in Griffith, Ind. with Johnny Colsten officiating. Burial was in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville.
Ms. Neinast formerly owned a beauty shop in Albany. She worked at Hendrick Home for Children in Abilene for many years and the north campus of St. Margaret Hospital in Hammond for 13 years until retiring. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Dock of Highland, Ind.; two sisters, Pauline Dick and Sylvia Crowe, both of Haskell; two grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be sent to Hammond First Baptist Church or cancer research.
