Wanda Green
COLEMAN - Wanda Green, 63, of Talpa died Monday at her home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Talpa Cemetery with Don Bailey officiating, directed by Walker Funeral Home.
Mrs. Green was born in Talpa and grew up in Coleman County. She moved to the Dallas area, returning to Coleman County in 1979. She was a homemaker. She married Henry Green Sr. in Rockwall; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include three daughters, Debbie Ainsworth, Shirley Baker and Linda Chantaca, all of Talpa; one son, Henry Green Jr. of Carrollton; two brothers, Harold Warren of Mineola and Carl Warren of Abilene; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Mildred Landers
ROUND ROCK - Mildred R. Landers, 80, wife of a former Abilene man, died Sunday.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Texas Baptist Children's Home Chapel. Burial will be in Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, directed by Cook-Walden Condra Funeral Home.
Mrs. Landers was born in Liberty Hill and had worked at Texas Baptist Children's Home for more than 20 years. She married Cliff Landers in 1933 in Abilene.
Survivors include her husband, of Round Rock; one son, Jerry Don Landers of Liberty Hill; one daughter, Sandra Meyer of Round Rock; three brothers, Sam Smith of Austin, Eldon Smith of Clovis, N.M., and Raymond Smith of Allen; four sisters, Bertie O'Dell and Louise Dye, both of Spicewood, Christine Tittle of Fort Worth and Elowise Hershon of Hurst; three grandchildren, 10 nieces and eight nephews.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today and at the Texas Baptist Children's Home Activity Center from 11:30 a.m. until service time Wednesday.
Memorials may be made to Texas Baptist Children's Home.

Bob Bennie
BANGS - Bob Bennie, 66, who owned and operated Bennie Tractor Company for 36 years, died Sunday at a Brownwood Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Bangs Church of Christ with Milton Langston officiating. Burial will be in Bangs Cemetery, directed by Bangs Funeral Home.
Mr. Bennie was born in Brown County and moved to Bangs in 1939. He was a rancher and a member of Bangs Church of Christ. He married Ella Sue Honer in 1951 in Brownwood.
Survivors include his wife, of Bangs; one son, Terry Bennie of Bangs; two daughters, Serita Clardy of Brownwood and Teresa Roberts of Bangs; and eight grandchildren.

Andres Garcia Sr.
ANSON - Andres Garcia Sr., 82, a longtime Jones County farmer, died Sunday in Anson.
Mass will be at 2 p.m. today at St. Michael's Catholic Church with the Rev. Johnrose Hayden officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Lawrence-Adams Funeral Home.
Mr. Garcia was born in Gomez Palacios, Durango, Mexico, and moved to Texas in 1917 and to Anson in 1927. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. He married Carmella Rodriquez in 1932 in Anson; she preceded him in death.
Survivors include five sons, Alvino Garcia and Lupe Garcia, both of Anson, Eligio Garcia of Albany, Ramon Garcia of Knox City and Andres Garcia Jr. of Lampasas; two daughters, Alice Romas and Nancy Salinas, both of Anson; two sisters, Sylvestre Ortega of Altus, Okla., and Sabina Dominguez of Denver, Colo.; 29 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Eddith (Mrs. Houston) Ruff
ALBANY - Eddith (Mrs. Houston) Ruff, 93, died Monday at a local nursing home.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Tunnell officiating. Burial will be in Albany Cemetery, directed by Godfrey-Neese Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ruff was born in Tulip and was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She married James Houston Ruff in 1923 in Albany; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, James Allen Ruff of Breckenridge and Marvin Nobel Ruff of Albany; three grandsons, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Meral Green
Meral F. Green, 81, died Monday at her home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Clyde Cemetery with Sam Nichols officiating, directed by Allen-Korzenewski Funeral Home, 1443 N. 2nd.
Mrs. Green was born in Collin County and grew up in East Texas. She worked as a seamstress and cook, and moved to California in 1942, Lubbock in 1977 and Abilene in 1986. She was a member of Trinity Community Church in Clyde and was the widow of Luther Green, whom she married in 1934 in Grayson County.
Survivors include one daughter, Pat Reid of Abilene; one son, Luther Dale Green of California; one brother, James Hill of Slaton; two sisters, Nadine Jeffcoat of Lubbock and Jessie Smith of Durant, Okla.; seven grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Jewell Inga Lucas
Jewell Inga Lucas, 77, of View, died Tuesday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in View Baptist Church with the Revs. Rick Lucas and Greg Rake officiating. Burial will be in Drummond Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 U.S. Hwy 277 South.
Mrs. Lucas was born in Hamilton County and attended school in Pottsville. She moved to Abilene in 1957 from Pottsville and was a homemaker. She was a member of View Baptist Church and was the widow of Othel Wendell Lucas, whom she married in 1947 in Stephenville.
Survivors include one son, the Rev. Rick Wendell Lucas of Westport, Ky.; one daughter, Susan Lucas Hanna of Denham Springs, La.; three brothers, Tom Oustad of Munday, M.E. Oustad Jr. of Marble Falls and Larry W. Oustad of Arlington; three sisters, Mildred Sheard of Hamilton, Margaret McCarty of Terrell and Martha Rice of Hico; and four grandchildren.

Curtis Dodd
ROTAN - Curtis Dodd, 82, died Tuesday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Rotan Church of Christ with Barry Day officiating. Burial will be in Belvieu Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee Funeral Home.
Mr. Dodd was born in Buckholtz and grew up in Rotan. He married Frankie Reaves in 1936 in Breckenridge and moved to San Angelo in 1936 and Sweetwater in 1941. He worked as a manager for Safeway Inc. for 35 years until retiring in 1980. He was a farmer and returned to Rotan in 1986. He was a former member of the Hamlin Rotary Club and Hamlin Chamber of Commerce, and was a member of Rotan Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, of Rotan; one son, Charles Dodd of Rotan; one daughter, Peggy Shields of Abilene; one brother, Wilburn Dodd of Waco; three sisters, Jewel Talley of Temple, Hazel Bolton of San Antonio and Francis McDonald of Liverpool, Texas; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

George Elmo Cavanaugh
CROSS PLAINS - George Elmo Cavanaugh, 91, of Abilene and formerly of Cross Plains, died Tuesday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel with Charles Chesshir officiating. Burial will be in Cross Plains Cemetery.
Mr. Cavanaugh was born in Callahan County and was a farmer. He was a member of the Church of Christ and was the widower of Vida Riggs Cavanaugh, whom he married in 1934.
Survivors include one daughter, Judy Kay Cavanaugh Navarre of Bossier City, La.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Inez Cooley
ANSON - Inez Cooley, 83, died Tuesday in a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Midway Cemetery in Hodges with the Rev. Allan Cartrite officiating, directed by Lawrence-Adams Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cooley was born in Sims, Ark., and, at age 9, moved to Jones County, where she lived most of her life. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Hodges Baptist Church and was the widow of E.J. "Ed" Cooley, whom she married in 1935 in Jones County.
Survivors include one daughter, Gail Sellers of Hodges; three sons, David Cooley and Richard Cooley, both of Hodges, and Calvin Cooley of Noodle; one brother, Paul Stephenson of Abilene; two sisters, Lena Dunagin of Merkel and Willie McCraw Hogan of Anson; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
