Regina Lynn Keeton
BROWNWOOD - Regina Lynn Keeton, 36, of Howard, Colo., and formerly of Brownwood, died Tuesday in a Colorado hospital after a long battle with cystic fibrosis.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Greenleaf Cemetery with the Rev. Kyle Horton officiating, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Keeton was born in Brownwood and was a homemaker. She moved to Colorado 1-1/2 years ago from Dallas and was a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Scott Kimbierlin of Howard, Colo.; one daughter, Faith Alene Taylor of Terrell; her parents, Norma Smith Keeton of Dallas and Gene Keeton of Sanger; two sisters, Melanie Jane Keeton Viehland of Terrell and Lisa Crump of Rowlett; her grandmother, Hanna Smith of Brownwood; three aunts and three uncles; three nieces; and several cousins, great aunts and great uncles.
Memorials may be sent to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Lucille Armstrong
ROBY - Lucille Armstrong, 75, died Wednesday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Roby Baptist Church with the Revs. L.D. Parks and Mickey Waggoner officiating. Burial will be in Roby Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee Funeral Home of Rotan.
Mrs. Armstrong was born in Royston and was a homemaker. She was a member of Primitive Baptist Church and was the widow of Loyd Armstrong, whom she married in 1937.
Survivors include two daughters, Jean Lindsey of Colorado City and Marsha Smith of Roby; one sister, Inez Stephens of Roby; and five grandchildren.

Anna Marie Gumm
BANGS - Anna Marie Gumm, 77, of Corpus Christi and formerly of Bangs, died Monday in a Corpus Christi hospital.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Bangs Cemetery, directed by Bangs Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gumm was born in Bangs and married John H. Gumm in 1941. She taught school in Corpus Christi for 26 years and was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, of Corpus Christi; two sons, Harold W. Gumm and Thomas E. Gumm, both of Corpus Christi; one sister, Violet Sheffield of Bangs; one brother, Aaron L. Hall of Bangs; and three grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home starting Friday morning.

Jack Kennith Hogan
MERKEL - Jack Kennith Hogan, 77, lifelong local resident, died Wednesday in Abilene.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday in Merkel First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Brad Reeves and Sam Smith officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, directed by Starbuck Funeral Home.
Mr. Hogan was born in Merkel and attended school in Mount Plesant and Merkel. He married Ruth Louise Smith in 1938 in Merkel and was a farmer and rancher. He was a member of Farmers Union. He was a charter member of the Methodist Men and served on the administrative board at First United Methodist Church. He also was a leader of the Methodist Youth Fellowship for many years.
Survivors include his wife, of Merkel; one son, Kenny Hogan of Merkel; two sisters, Nan Campbell of Merkel and Margie Hendricks of Alice; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

Gary Ray Wilkins
GORMAN - Gary Ray Wilkins, 46, died Tuesday in Abbeville, La.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Gorman First Baptist Church with Craig Rhoton officiating. Burial will be in Gorman-Oaklawn Cemetery, directed by Higginbotham Funeral Home. A second memorial service will be held at Chris Crusta Memorial Airport in Abbeville, La. at a later date.
Mr. Wilkins served with the U.S. Navy on an aircraft carrier during the Vietnam War and married Sheila Battenfield in 1974 in Houma, La. He worked as a spotter pilot over the Gulf of Mexico for Zapata Protein USA Inc. in Abbeville, La.
Survivors include his wife, of Gorman; one daughter, Madelyn Wilkins of Gorman; two sons, Wesley Wilkins and David Wilkins, both of Gorman; and three sisters, Raeleen Boykin, Lynda Luna and Ruth Wilkins, all of Grants Pass, Ore.
A fund to help the Wilkins family has been established at Security State Bank, Gorman 76454.

Billie 'Tootie' Horton
BROWNWOOD - Billie "Tootie" Horton, 49, of Austin and formerly of Brownwood, died Saturday in Austin.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Eastlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Karen Sue Eldridge officiating, directed by Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
Ms. Horton was born in Brownwood, where she graduated from high school, and was a Baptist.
Survivors include one brother, Dewayne Horton of Brownwood; one aunt and one uncle; and two cousins.

Nancy Jane Childress
CROSS PLAINS - Nancy Jane Childress, 78, died Monday in Albuquerque, N.M.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Copeland officiating. Burial will be in Cottonwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Childress was born in Albuquerque, N.M., where she married Dan Childres in 1938, and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Scott Childress of Cross Plains and Bob Childress of Hot Springs, S.D.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Malcolm McNiel 'Mack' Rust
Malcolm McNiel "Mack" Rust, 55, died Sunday at his home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 U.S. Hwy 277 South, with Dr. George Gaston officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Rust was born in Kingsville and graduated from Theodore High School in Theodore, Ala. in 1959, Texas A&M University in 1965 and the University of Southern California in 1981. He served in Vietnam and retired after a 20-year career with the U.S. Air Force. He moved to Abilene in 1978. He was a longtime member of the Abilene Community Band, and also was a member of the Abilene A&M Club, Association of Texas Professional Educators and Pioneer Drive Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Louise Ward of Baton Rouge, La.; one grandchild; several aunts and one uncle; and several cousins.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.

Joe William Johnson
Joe William Johnson, 76, formerly of Abilene, died Monday at Yellowstone National Park.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in North's Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange, with Richard Chastain officiating. Burial with Masonic rites will be in Northview Cemetery in Winters.
Mr. Johnson was born in Abilene and grew up in Winters. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in China during World War II and worked as a theater projectionist in Dallas and Abilene for more than 40 years. He married Jean Gentry in 1976 in Garland and moved to Mission in 1982. He had spent the summers at Yellowstone National Park for eight years, and was a member of Masonic East Dallas Lodge 1200 and the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, of Mission and Yellowstone National Park; one daughter, Linda Dixon of Hawaii; one stepson, Manuel Gentry Jr. of Paris, Texas; three sisters, Fay Hecht, Francis Mayfield and Alice Edwards, all of Abilene; and one grandchild.
The family will be at the Royal Inn.
