Lillie Murchison
BROWNWOOD - Lillie M. Murchison, 67, of Harbor Point at Lake Brownwood, formerly of Fort Worth, died Sunday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today in Greenwood Cemetery in Fort Worth, directed by Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
Mrs. Murchison was a retired draftsperson of Lockheed. She was a member of American Legion Post 470 and was a Sparkette with the North Lake Brownwood Fire Department. She was a Lutheran.
Survivors include her husband, Royce Smith of Harbor Point; one half-brother, Albert Lee Meyer of McDade; and two half-sisters, Shirley Meyer of Lexington, Tex., and Emogene Meyer of Bastrop.
Memorials may be sent to North Lake Brownwood Fire Department.

Chester Afflerbach
BALLINGER - Chester F. Afflerbach, 83, manager of Afflerbach's Variety Store for many years, died Monday in a local hospital.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today in Rains-Seale Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Louis Moeller officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Afflerbach was a native and lifelong resident of Ballinger. He married Kathleen Haverland in 1939 in Rowena. He was a former volunteer firefighter, secretary of Germania Farm Mutual Insurance for more than 52 years until retiring in 1996, and a member of the Sons of Hermann Lodge and St. Mary Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Ballinger; one son, Charles Afflerbach; three daughters, Dina Stewart, Sharon Diana and Eileen Knight; and six grandchildren.

Amelia DeLaRosa Sanchez
BROWNWOOD - Amelia DeLaRosa Sanchez, 58, died Sunday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Andres Nuno and Ruben Cerna officiating. Burial will be in Greenleaf Cemetery.
Mrs. Sanchez was born in Melvin, Tex., and moved to Brownwood in 1987 from Del Rio. She worked for the Brownwood school district.
Survivors include four sons, David Sanchez of Brownwood, Steve Sanchez of Del Rio, Mike Sanchez of Odessa and Carlos Sanchez of Uvalde; one daughter, Rebecca Alderete of Odessa; three brothers, Pedro DeLaRosa, Manuel Sandoval and Arnold Sandoval, all of Brownwood; four sisters, Gloria Arellano and Clara Martinez, both of Brownwood, and Ofelia Perez and Elvira Adame, both of Arlington; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

V.A. 'Veecy' Vaughan
BROWNWOOD - V.A. "Veecy" Vaughan, 80, died Monday in a local hospital after a brief illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Mount Zion Baptist Church with the Revs. Kelvin Kelley and Tony Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Greenleaf Cemetery, directed by Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
Mr. Vaughan was born in Tennessee Colony, Tex., and was a maintenance worker for 3M Company for 17 years until retiring in 1982. He was a member of Prince Hall Masonic Lodge. He was a deacon at Mount Zion Baptist Church and was the widower of Hurlene Lily Vaughan, whom he married in 1936.
Survivors include four daughters, Ernestine Vaughan of Brownwood, Dorothy Nell Smith of Dallas, Barbara Vaughan of Plano and Shelly Vaughan of Garland; one brother, Clarence Vaughan of San Antonio; two sisters, Edna Pruitt of Fort Worth and Mary Banks of Malakoff; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7:30-8:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Euna Brooks
Euna Brooks, 91, died Tuesday in a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Oplin Cemetery with the Rev. Donnie Harbers officiating, directed by North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange.
Mrs. Brooks was born in Oplin, where she grew up, and married James Charlie Brooks in 1931 in New Mexico. She was a homemaker and moved to Abilene in 1944. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include five sons, Perry Brooks, James Brooks, J.P. Brooks and Clayton Brooks, all of Abilene, and Don Boston of Page, Ariz.; one daughter, Auline Daniel of Abilene; 17 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Margaret Lynn Watson
DALLAS - Margaret Lynn Watson, 46, of Abilene and formerly of Dallas, died Sunday in Abilene.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Troy Suggs Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dan Carroll officiating. Burial will be in Grove Hill Memorial Park.
Mrs. Watson was born in Dallas and worked as a beautician.
Survivors include her husband, Bruce Watson; one son, Tully Stanford; one daughter, Brandy Tanner; her mother, Ellen Dorman; three brothers, Michael Dorman, Richard Dorman and Tommy Dorman; one sister, Karen Hellmann; her grandmother, Fannie Rogers; and two grandchildren.

Emma Lou Harwell
CISCO - Emma Lou Harwell, 69, died Monday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Chambers-Wilcox Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Gary Turner officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Harwell was born in Glendale, Ariz., and was a homemaker. She worked at Wal-Mart in Eastland. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and was the widow of Rexford Harwell, whom she married in 1945 in Glendale, Ariz.
Survivors include two daughters, Lynda Patton of Phoenix, Ariz., and Sheila Cox of Abilene; and one sister, Bernice Grogg of Phoenix, Ariz.

Beatrice Patton Eoff
SWEETWATER - Beatrice Patton Eoff, 93, died Wednesday in a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Rose Hill Cemetery in Merkel with Larry Fluitt officiating, directed by Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Mrs. Eoff was born in Llano and moved to Sweetwater in 1940. She worked as a manager of the shoe and boys departments at Sears & Roebuck Co. for 20 years until retiring. She was a member of Fourth & Elm Church of Christ and was the widow of Naylor Houston Eoff, whom she married in 1923 in Merkel.
Survivors include one daughter, Joy Cloutier of Richardson; two sisters, Mary Jo Langford and Selma Richards, both of Abilene; one brother, Leon Patton of Tyler; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

Paul Lee
COLEMAN - Paul Lee, 64, died Tuesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Considine officiating.
Mr. Lee was born in Chicago, where he grew up, and graduated from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn. He served as a pilot with the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in El Paso and Abilene. He married Dixie Gordon in 1957 in Coleman and lived in Lubbock for 16 years before returning to Coleman in 1982. He was a self-employed building materials manufacturer and attended St. Mark's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Coleman; three sons, Philip Lee of San Antonio, Christopher Lee of Houston and Houston Lee of Austin; one daughter, Phyllis Hall of Laredo; one brother, Victor Lee of Chicago; and several grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to a favorite charity.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
