Beatrice Spencer
Beatrice F. Spencer, 94, died Wednesday in a local nursing home.
The body will be cremated and arrangements were made by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory. Memorial services will be held at a later date in Capistrano Beach, Calif.
Mrs. Spencer was born in Chicago and formerly lived in Mesa, Ariz. She moved to Abilene 1-1/2 years ago and was a homemaker. She was the widow of Alvin C. Spencer.
Survivors include one niece, Helen Little of Abilene.

Homer Raymond Johnson
EASTLAND - Homer Raymond Johnson, 76, died Wednesday in a Temple hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Camp Inspiration Church of God with Bobby Haddox officiating. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery, directed by Edwards Funeral Home.
Mr. Johnson was born in Stephenville and grew up in Erath, Eastland, Comanche and Brown counties. He was a World War II veteran and was a retired rancher. He was the widower of Edna Caroline Browning Johnson. He married Mildred B. Leard in 1985 in Scurry County and was a life member and chaplain of the Disabled American Veterans. He was a member of Camp Inspiration Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, of Eastland; one son, James Johnson of Granbury; one stepdaughter, Patricia Bodkin of Weatherford; one stepson, Gary Weir of Aurora, Colo.; and one sister, Catherine Williams of Comanche.

Bonnie Rowan Hackney
KNOX CITY - Bonnie R. Hackney, 78, of Celina and formerly of Knox City, died Wednesday in a Carrollton hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Knox City Church of Christ with Jim Hackney and Joe Hackney officiating. Burial will be in Knox City Cemetery, directed by Tankersley Funeral Home of Stamford.
Mrs. Hackney was born in Clark County, Ark., and moved to Texas in 1927. She graduated from Knox City High School in 1934 and married Elwood Hackney in 1937 in Knox City. She worked as a business administrator at the Knox City Clinic for 18 years. She was a past president of the Knox City Garden Club and Weinert Study Club, and taught Bible classes in the Church of Christ for many years.
Survivors include her husband, of Celina; two sons, Joe Hackney of Celina and Jim Hackney of Fort Worth; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be today at Smith Funeral Home in Knox City.

Ernest Polk
STRAWN - Ernest T. Polk, 77, died Wednesday in an Arlington hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Strawn First United Methodist Church with Tom Beaty, Wayne Hunter and the Rev. Hubert Foust officiating. Burial will be in Mount Marion Cemetery, directed by Edwards Funeral Home.
Mr. Polk was born in Carrollton and attended school in Strawn. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He married Martha Harrison in 1945 in Bremerton, Wash., and worked as an inspector for General Motors for 27 years until retiring in 1981. He then returned to Strawn. He was a member of the Strawn Masonic Lodge and First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Strawn; two sons, R. Eugene Polk of Crawfordsville, Ind., and Stephen M. Polk of Las Vegas, Nev.; two daughters, Ruth Ann Craddock of Strawn and Pamela Kay Melton of Arlington; one brother, Calvin C. Polk of Marfa; one sister, Modean Polk of Strawn; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Ileta Beasley Moon
HASKELL - Ileta Beasley Moon, 83, died Thursday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Haskell Assembly of God with the Revs. Eric Clark and J.C. Amburn officiating. Burial will be in Rule Cemetery, directed by Holden-McCauley Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Moon was born in Altus, Okla., and married Britt Moon in 1942 in Rule. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Church of God.
Survivors include her husband, of Haskell; two sons, Bobby Moon of Dickson, Tenn., and Kenneth Moon of Aledo; two daughters, Dixie Pierce of Austin and Cecelia Vick of Ringgold, Ga.; nine grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Carrol Albert Bilbrey
CLYDE - Carrol Albert Bilbrey, 62, died Thursday in an Abilene hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Ross Cemetery Annex in Baird with the Rev. Jack Willoughby officiating, directed by Parker Funeral Home of Baird.
Mr. Bilbrey was born in Grand Junction, Colo., and served with the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He formerly worked as an emergency medical technician and police officer. He later was employed in construction as a bulldozer operator. He married Julia Frances Hinkle in 1981 in Lawton, Okla. He moved to Clyde in 1994 from Hamlin and was a member of Baird First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Clyde; three sons, David Bilbrey of Bangs, Raymond Bilbrey of California and Carl Garner of Garland; two daughters, Ruth Ann Bilbrey of California and Alice Ann Bilbrey of Clyde; one stepdaughter, Stephanie Hinkle of Clyde; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

ROSCOE - A.J. Robinson, 88, died Wednesday in Sweetwater.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Roscoe First Baptist Church with Dr. Rick Willis officiating. Burial will be in Roscoe Cemetery, directed by McCoy Funeral Home.
Mr. Robinson was born in Houston and married Myrle Connally in 1930 in Baird. He moved to Roscoe in 1930 and attended Southwest School of Printing in Dallas. He formerly owned the Roscoe Times and was a farmer. He was a former member of the Lions Club. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Roscoe; one niece, Thelma Noster of Houston; and two great-nieces and one great-nephew.

Ilynn Parker
HAMLIN - Ilynn Parker, 87, of Carrollton and formerly of Hamlin, died Wednesday in a Carrollton hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hamlin Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Tracy Watson officiating, directed by Foster-Adams Funeral Home.
Mrs. Parker was born in Brown County and moved to Hamlin in 1945. She worked as a clerk at Bailey's Department Store and Knabel Jewelers, and moved to Carrollton in 1981. She was a former member of Hamlin First Baptist Church. She was a member of Valwood Baptist Church in Farmers Branch and was the widow of Ben Y. Parker, whom she married in 1933 in Waco.
Survivors include one daughter, Pat Woods of Dallas; one son, Clarence Allen Parker of Richardson; one sister, Frances Morgan of Waco; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.

Albert Daniel
ROTAN - Albert Daniel, 52, lifelong area resident, died Wednesday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Rotan First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Belvieu Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee Funeral Home.
Mr. Daniel was born in Perry, Texas, and worked as a Rotan school janitor.
Survivors include one daughter, Kim Denise Gilbert of Rapid City, S.D.; two stepsons, Kenneth Gilbert and Michael Gilbert, both of Rapid City, S.D.; seven sisters, including Barbara Daniel, Vernell Huitt, Lucy Daniel and Lillie Mae Daniel, all of Rotan, O.C. Huitt, Shug Gunn and Vivian Gunn; and five brothers, Lonnie Gunn, Jimmie Daniel, Willie Daniel of Rotan, Charles "Little Brother" Gunn and J.D. Gunn.
