Vera Juanita Webb
COLORADO CITY - Vera Juanita Webb, 80, died Sunday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Mosley officiating. Burial will be in Colorado City Cemetery.
Mrs. Webb was born in Snyder and had lived in Colorado City since 1936. She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Street Baptist Church. She married Lindley Webb in 1936 in Colorado City.
Survivors include her husband, of Colorado City; one daughter, Nell Shackelford of Midland; one brother, A.J. Grubbs of Sweetwater; and two grandchildren.

Martha May Webb
MIDLAND - Martha May Webb, 59, formerly of Albany, died Sunday at her home.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sam Webb of Honolulu, Hawaii, her brother, officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.
Mrs. Webb was born in Abilene. She was head counselor at Clover House of Odessa.
Survivors include her mother, Gladys Terrill of Midland; two sons, William Vinson of Midland and Marc Vinson of Austin; two daughters, Leslie Vinson of Waco and Gena Inman of College Station; two brothers, Sam Webb of Honolulu and Nathan Webb of Houston; and five grandchildren.

Louis George Love
COLEMAN - Louis George Love, 98, of Lubbock and formerly of Coleman County, died Sunday at a Lubbock hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Elm Street Church of Christ with James Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Coleman Cemetery, directed by Stevens Funeral Home.
Mr. Love was born in Fairview and grew up and attended school in the Brown Ranch area. He taught and served as principal at Brown Ranch, lived in Tulia for many years and had lived in Lubbock for five years. He worked as an accountant for South Texas Lumber Company in San Angelo and other Texas cities and for several years was an income tax preparer for H&R Block. He was a longtime member of the Church of Christ and a member and elder of Colorado and Jackson Street Church of Christ in San Angelo while living there. He married Jessie Iola Smith in 1920 and Mary Holt in 1962; both preceded him in death. He married Thelma Patience Carrway Love in 1969 in Tulia.
Survivors include his wife, of Lubbock; one daughter, Marie Cammack of San Saba; four stepsons, Billy George Love of Odessa, Doyle Love of Lubbock, Daryl Love of Albuquerque, N.M., and Audrey Love of Dallas; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives.

Maurine Richards
BALLINGER - Maurine W. Richards, 91, died Monday at her home at the Chadbourne Ranch in Coke County.
Graveside services will be at 5 p.m. today in Fort Chadbourne Cemetery with the Rev. Morris Johnson of Bronte officiating, directed by Rains-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Richards was born in Ballinger, where she graduated from high school, and attended Kid Key College in Denton and the University of Colorado. She was a homemaker and a Methodist. She married Edmund Leo Richards in 1925 in Ballinger; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, C.O. Richards of Ballinger; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Jess Hallmark
GORMAN - Jess Hallmark, 84, died Sunday at a Brownwood care center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel with Craig Rhoton officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery in Erath County.
Mr. Hallmark was born in Erath County and was a farmer most of his life. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He married Irene Sharp in 1937 in Lingleville.
Survivors include his wife, of Gorman; two sons, Verl Hallmark and Jimmy Hallmark, both of Brownwood; one daughter, Carolyn Moore of Pensacola, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

J.N. 'Jim' Sadler Jr.
COLEMAN - J.N. "Jim" Sadler Jr., 63, of Novice died Sunday near Goldsboro.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Novice Baptist Church with the Rev. Audie Cathey officiating. Burial will be in Rough Creek Cemetery, directed by Stevens Funeral Home.
Mr. Sadler was born in Gladewater and grew up in Terrell and Novice. He graduated from McMurry University with a bachelor's degree in history and was a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He lived in Novice from 1975-1990, when he moved to Mineral Wells, and returned to Novice two years ago. He taught electronics at Abilene Cooper High School and was an electronics technician. He owned and operated Novice Grocery Store for a number of years and was a member of Novice Baptist Church. He served on the executive committee of the Southern Baptist Churches of Coleman County. He married Marjorie Conrad in 1955 in El Paso.
Survivors include his wife, of Novice; three sons, James Sadler of Dallas, Jack Sadler of Jacksonville, Fla., and Jeffrey Sadler of Jupiter, Fla.; four brothers, Robert Perry Sadler of White Settlement, Ronald Sadler of El Paso, Harley Sadler of Novice and Larry Sadler of Tuscola; one sister, Annette Sadler Johnson of Waxahachie; and six grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. today.

Leota Covey
RULE - Leota Covey, 81, died Monday at a Haskell nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with the Revs. J.R. Williams and Bill Trice officiating. Burial will be in Rule Cemetery, directed by McCauley-Robison Funeral Home.
Mrs. Covey was born in Bangs and was a licensed vocational nurse for 30 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She married Clyde Wilborn in 1935; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Verla Price of Rule; one son, Lanny Mac Covey of Snyder; one sister, Jeffie Murrel Bishop of Knox City; one brother, Vaughn Brooks of Knox City; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Sonia Angelica Corona
Sonia Angelica Corona, 17, died Sunday in Jones County from injuries received in an automobile accident.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Heritage Baptist Church with the Revs. Charles Dickinson Jr. and Michael R. Schirle officiating. Burial will be in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 U.S. Hwy 277 South.
Miss Corona was born in Lubbock and moved to Abilene in 1985. She graduated from Wylie High School in 1997. She received a Texas Scholar Award and was a member of Heritage Baptist Church.
Survivors include her father and stepmother, Joseph A. and Kathy Corona of Laredo; her mother and stepfather, Diana and David Lervig of Abilene Wylie; one sister, Brianna Lervig of Abilene; her maternal grandparents, Anita Flores of Wolfforth and Israel Flores of Lubbock; her paternal grandparents, Alexander C. and Mary G. Luna of Lubbock; her step grandparents, Lianna Lervig of Abilene, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Dickinson Jr. of Laredo; her paternal step great-grandparents, Mrs. and Mrs. Charles B. Dickinson Sr. of Laredo; and two uncles and two aunts.

Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Virginia Fischer Kyle
Virginia Fischer Kyle, 80, died Tuesday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Steven Williams officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 U.S. Hwy 277 South.
Mrs. Kyle was born in Abilene and was a homemaker. She returned to Abilene in 1977 from Amarillo. She was a member of First Christian Church and was the widow of Howard Charles Kyle, whom she married in 1940 in Big Spring.
Survivors include one son, Tom Kyle of Durham, Ore.; one daughter, Kay Street of Bedford; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
