Stella White
WINTERS - Stella White, 97, died Friday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Winters First Baptist Church with the Rev. Glenn Shoemake officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, directed by Winters Funeral Home.
Mrs. White was born in Fayette, Ala., and was a homemaker. She moved to the Winters area in the early 1920s. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was the widow of Victor White, whom she married in Fayette, Ala.
Survivors include two daughters, Floreta Kinner of Phelps, Wisc., and Loreta Reynolds of Cisco; one sister, Ruby Dell Goodwin of Sherefield, Ala.; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

John Phears
STEPHENVILLE - John A. Phears, 74, died Saturday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Monday in Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Ralph Starling officiating. Burial will be in Lanham Mill Cemetery.
Mr. Phears was born in Hamilton County and served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He moved to Stephenville in 1951. He married Faye Shook in 1954 in Stephenville and was a retired work order clerk of Erath County Electric Co-Op. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, of Stephenville.

Louise Ashley
ROBY - Louise Ashley, 92, died Saturday in an Aspermont nursing home.
Private services will be held Monday, directed by Weathersbee Funeral Home of Rotan.
Mrs. Ashley was born in Jones County and worked as a drug store clerk. She was a member of the Church of Christ and was the widow of Roy George Ashley, whom she married in 1921 in Jones County.
Survivors include one son, John Ashley of Roby; one sister, Jessie Lee Ashley; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Leatice Rasberry
STEPHENVILLE - Leatice Rasberry, 90, died Saturday in a Weatherford nursing home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Ralph Starling officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Mill Cemetery.
Mrs. Rasberry was born in Indian Territory, Okla., and lived most of her life in Erath County. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ and was the widow of Curtis Rasberry, whom she married in 1927 in Morgan Mill.
Survivors include one son, Robert Rasberry of Abilene; three daughters, Marie Lowe and Vivian Christian, both of Stephenville, and Ruby Rahbarzare of Weatherford; one sister, Lucy Naul of Stephenville; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Elbert Carl 'Corky' Cottrell
RISING STAR - Elbert Carl "Corky" Cottrell, 65, died Friday in a Brownwood hospital.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Sunset Memorial Garden in Stillwater, Okla. with James Beck officiating, directed by Higginbotham Funeral Home of Cross Plains.
Mr. Cottrell was born in Grant County, Okla., and grew up in Wanette and Shawnee, Okla. He served with the U.S. Army before joining the Air Force in 1951. He retired as a technical sergeant in 1968. He was in the Korean War and also was stationed in Idaho, Wyoming, Alaska, Okinawa, the Philippines, Germany and California. He graduated from Oklahoma State University. He married Joyce Yates in 1950 in Shawnee, Okla., and worked as an electrical engineer for the U.S. Government. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, of Williams, Texas; two sons, Richard Cottrell and Carl Cottrell, both of Williams; one daughter, Jackie Turner of Williams; four sisters, Dorothy Hearin of Austin, Bobbie Beck of Mannford, Okla., Elva Newell of Shawnee, Okla., and Eva Ward of Norman, Okla.; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be sent to May Baptist Church Building Fund.

William L. Holland Jr.
VALLEJO, Calif. - William L. Holland Jr., 67, died Saturday in Vallejo.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Colonial Chapel. No services are planned.
Mr. Holland was born in Paris, Ark., and lived in Abilene for about 10 years. Being afflicted with polio, he was a poster boy as a youth for the March of Dimes. He retired after 40 years as a seaman, 25 in the Merchant Marines and 15 with IT&T as a ship's engineer, helping to lay underwater telephone cable. He moved to Vallejo in 1977 and was a life member of the Elks Lodge. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include three sons, Dennis Joe Holland of Abilene, William L. Holland III and John Scott Holland, both of Vallejo; his mother, Mae Holland Gipson of Abilene; three brothers, David S. Holland of Houston, John F. Holland of Camarillo, Calif., and Capt. Joe L. Holland of San Diego, Calif.; one sister, Mae Rue Hazard of Arlington; and four grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the March of Dimes or to the donor's favorite charity.

Addie Jewel Mann
STAMFORD - Addie Jewel Mann, 82, died Friday in a local nursing home after a long illness.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Rochester Cemetery with the Revs. Jesse Morton and James Brigham officiating, directed by Kinney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mann was born in Haskell County and moved to Stamford in 1949. She worked as a nurse's aide. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and was the widow of Joseph W. Mann, whom she married in 1933 in Rochester.
Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Mann of Stamford; two sons, Earl Mann of San Angelo and Jerry Mann of Pearland; her mother, Matilda "Mama" Hearn of Rochester; three brothers, Herman Hearn, Dalton Hearn and Arlis Hearn, all of Rochester; five grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Alvarene Ingram
COMANCHE - Alvarene E. Ingram, 78, died Saturday after a sudden illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Sam Randolph officiating. Burial will be in Comanche Gardens of Memory Cemetery, directed by Hall & Sons Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ingram was born in Rule and graduated from Wayland Baptist College and Texas Tech University. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Bereavement Committee. She taught school in Plainview and Petersburg before moving to Comanche in 1968. She married Thomas Mart Ingram in 1946 in Lubbock; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Xene McDonald of Duncanville; two sons, Shannon Ingram of Ardmore, Okla., and Don Ingram of Comanche; four brothers, G.K. Bullock Jr. of Lubbock, Wyle Bullock of Amarillo, Leo Bullock of San Antonio and Joe Neal Bullock of Lazbuddie; and six grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church General Fund.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6:30-8 p.m. today and at First Baptist Church for lunch at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Willie Moore Blisard
BANGS - Willie Moore Blisard, 83, died Saturday at a Brownwood hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Rolling Acres Baptist Church with the Rev. D.H. Rudd officiating. Burial will be in Bangs Cemetery, directed by Bangs Funeral Home.
Mrs. Blisard was born in Red River County and had lived in Bangs since 1965. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She married T.L. Blisard Sr. in 1937 in Cuthand.
Survivors include her husband, of Bangs; one daughter, Pansy Rudd of Bangs; two sons, Gene Blisard and Tom Blisard, both of Bangs; one brother, Ennis Moore of Bogota; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
