Baylor Austin Dow Jones, 15-month-old infant, died Sunday in a Fort Worth hospital.
A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. today in Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 U.S. Hwy 277 South. Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Chaplain Dave Benz officiating. Burial will be in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Baylor was born in Abilene.
Survivors include his parents, Tim Jones and Kristen DeLeon; his paternal grandparents, Tony and Jan Jones of Fredericksburg, and Jackie and Dean Ververs of Abilene; his maternal grandparents, Deborah Maciejewski of Abilene and Val DeLeon of Kingsville; several aunts and uncles; and several adoptive aunts and uncles.

Katie Lou Eager Brown Austin
CLYDE - Katie Lou Eager Brown Austin, 88, of Abilene and formerly of Clyde, died Wednesday in an Abilene nursing home.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. H.B. Terry officiating. Burial will be in Clyde Cemetery.
Mrs. Austin was born in Hamby and graduated from Albany High School. She married Alfred E. "Shorty" Brown in 1928 in Abilene and moved to Clyde in 1932 from Abilene. She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for Coleman Production Credit until retiring and was a member of Clyde First Baptist Church.
Survivors include one brother, Clyde R. Eager of Abilene; and several nieces and nephews.

Bertie Inez Helvey Crisp
MAYSVILLE, Okla. - Bertie Inez Helvey Crisp, 70, sister of an Abilene resident, died Tuesday in a Norman, Okla., hospital after a long illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Winans Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Maysville Cemetery.
Mrs. Crisp was born in Shamrock, Texas, and married Troy Crisp in 1945. She moved to the Maysville area in 1983 from Carrizo Springs, Texas, and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, of Maysville; six children, Rosie Reynolds and Terry Crisp, both of Yoakum, Texas, Donald Crisp of Calera, Okla., Raymond Crisp of Durant, Okla., and Lena Deviney and Paul Crisp, both of Maysville; two brothers, Earl Helvey of Sacramento, Calif., and Thomas Helvey of Abilene; three sisters, Artie Taylor of Levelland, Texas, Alice Deviney of Bromide, Okla., and Lily Taylor of Dumas, Texas; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several other relatives.

Windsor Fletcher Wells
HASKELL - Windsor Fletcher Wells, 79, died Wednesday in a Big Spring hospital.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Howard Cemetery near Paint Creek, directed by Holden-McCauley Funeral Directors.
Mr. Wells was born in Haskell County and served with the 916th Field Artillery of the U.S. Army's 91st Infantry Division in the European Theater, Rome and Po Valley in Italy during World War II. He received a Purple Heart with one oak leaf cluster, EAME Campaign Medal with three bronze stars, American Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He worked as a postman at the Veterans Administration hospital in Big Spring for 20 years.
Survivors include one sister, Christine Bruton of Haskell; three brothers, Wayne Wells and Gene Wells, both of Haskell, and Layne Wells of Trent; three nephews and two nieces; and two great-nephews and one great-niece.
Memorials may be sent to a favorite charity.

Geneva Irene McChesney
Geneva Irene McChesney, 61, died Friday in a local hospital.
The body was cremated. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today in Elmwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Lacewell officiating, directed by North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange.
Mrs. McChesney was born in East Texas, where she grew up, and married Jerry McChesney in 1971 in Newton. She then moved to Abilene and was a homemaker. She was a member of Elmwood Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; two sons, Ricky Amaral of Massachusetts and Anthony Amaral of Connecticut; four daughters, Deborah Amaral and Patricia Shumate, both of Abilene, Terica Wilson of Colorado and Barbara Amaral of Massachusetts; her mother, Exer Wright of Henderson; two brothers, Steve Wright of Washington and Clyde Wright Jr. of Lufkin; and five grandchildren.
The family will be at 3134 S. 6th.

Earlene Whittington
Earlene Whittington, 72, died Thursday in a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Potosi Cemetery with the Rev. Herbert Wood officiating, directed by North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange.
Mrs. Whittington was born in Georgia, where she grew up, and married Charles Whittington in 1977 in College Station. She then moved to Abilene and was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, Clyde Williamson of Beatty, Nev., and John O. Briggs of Irvine, Calif.; one daughter, Phyllis Phelps of California; and four grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to Potosi Cemetery Association.

G.W. Kincaid
LEVELLAND - G.W. Kincaid, 84, formerly of Hamlin, died Wednesday at a Lubbock hospital after a lengthy illness.
Services were Friday at the First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Kerry Hurst and Margaret Desmond officiating. Graveside services were Friday in the Hamlin Memorial Cemetery, directed by Geo. C. Price Funeral Directors.
Mr. Kincaid moved to Levelland in 1992 from Hamlin. He married Mary Lois Desmond in Abilene in 1934. She preceded him in death. Mr. Kincaid was owner and operator of Kincaid Gas and Appliance in Hamlin until retiring.
Survivors include one son, Jim Kincaid of Hollywood, Fla.; one daughter, Rochelle Rombokas of Levelland; and three grandchildren.

Dick Shelton
ALBANY - Dick Shelton, 76, of Fort Griffin, operator of Shelton Exxon Station for many years, died Friday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Albany First Baptist Church with the Revs. Cecil Hall, Jody Sanders and John Tunnell officiating. Burial will be in Albany Cemetery, directed by Godfrey-Neese Funeral Home.
Mr. Shelton was born at Fort Griffin and was a lifelong resident of Shackelford and Throckmorton counties. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II and was a rancher and farmer. He attended the Assembly of God.
Survivors include his wife, of Fort Griffin; two sons, Dickie Shelton of Albany and Ben Shelton of Ponca City, Okla.; one daughter, Sherry Bowman of Albany; four stepsons, Larry Latimer of Lamesa, Wesley Latimer and Robert Latimer, both of Abilene, and Kevin Latimer of San Angelo; two stepdaughters, Della Fairchilds of Abilene and Diane Carroll of Throckmorton; two sisters, Anna Bowsher of Albany and Melba McCarson of Olney; seven grandchildren; six step grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Winona Joy Allen
MONAHANS - Winona Joy Allen, 62, relative of three Big Country residents, died Thursday in Monahans.
Services will be at 9 a.m. today in Third & Dwight Church of Christ with Mike Hardaway officiating. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. in Moran Cemetery, directed by Harkey Funeral Home.
Mrs. Allen was born in Jones County and moved to Monahans in 1974 from Hereford. She was a retired school teacher and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include three sons, Barry Allen of Russellville, Ark., Lane Allen of Carlsbad, N.M., and David Carr of Ralls; her mother, Delpha Cook of Albany; two brothers, James Johnson and Gaylon Johnson, both of Moran; one sister, Nell Nichols of San Angelo; and four grandchildren.
