Carmen Cora Wall
GOLDTHWAITE - Carmen Cora Wall, 82, of Star died Sunday at a local nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home Chapel with Loel Skaggs officiating, assisted by J.D. Harper. Burial will be in Hurst Ranch Cemetery.
Mrs. Wall was born in Mills County and was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Star. She married Carylom Walter Wall in 1934 in Center City.
Survivors include her husband, of Star; one son, Earl Wall of Cleburne; two brothers, Weldon Lucas of Goldthwaite and Jimmy Lucas of Mullin; three sisters, Shirley Foster and Von Dean Richards, both of Abilene, and Rosa Williams of Ballinger; and one granddaughter.

Vona Lee Ditto
KERRVILLE - Vona Lee Ditto, 95, died Sunday.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Garden of Memories with Dr. Lawrence Ray Smith officiating, directed by Grimes Funeral Chapels.
Miss Ditto was born in Fort Concho and had been a member of the Church of Christ for more than 80 years. She retired from Abilene Christian University in 1961 and moved to the Rio Grande Valley. She was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, serving as vice president of the Gen. Tom Green Chapter in Abilene.
Survivors include one sister, Irene Duke of Kerrville; one niece and three nephews.

James Willie Simmons
CLYDE - James Willie Simmons, 79, died Saturday at an Abilene hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Clyde Cemetery with the Rev. Donny Harbers officiating, directed by Bailey Funeral Home.
Mr. Simmons was born in Baird and was a lifelong resident of Callahan and Coleman counties. He was a retired brick mason and was sextant for Clyde Cemetery for 17 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He married Janelle Joan Batley in 1945 in Baird; she preceded him in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn (Mrs. Dale) Hollingshead of Potosi and Gwen (Mrs. Cecil) Webb of Abilene; two brothers, Louis Simmons and Roscoe Simmons, both of Clyde; two sisters, Marjorie Shaffer of Kerrville and Delavern Simpson of Fort Worth; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Dale Eugene Rogers
CLYDE - Dale Eugene Rogers, 40, died Sunday at his home.
Services will be at 4:30 p.m. today at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jerry Joplin officiating. Private graveside services will be in Clyde Cemetery.
Mr. Rogers was born in Abilene and lived in the Clyde-Abilene area all his life. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Jo Juan Rogers of Clyde; one brother, Dennis Carl Rogers of Clyde; one nephew and two nieces.

Jo Ann Tompkins
COLEMAN - Jo Ann Tompkins, 65, died Saturday at a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Glen Cove Cemetery with the Rev. David Jenkins officiating, directed by Stevens Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tompkins grew up and attended school in Gurdon, Ark., and had lived in Arlington, Tenn., since 1957 until moving to Coleman one week ago. She was a retired secretary for Junior Achievement in Memphis, Tenn., and was a member of Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church. She married Cecil Ray Tompkins in 1959 in Mason, Tenn.; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Sherry Cook of Coleman; one stepson, Cecil Tompkins of Cordova, Tenn.; one stepdaughter, Sandi Jenkins of Clarksville, Tenn.; two grandchildren and several stepgrandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-7 p.m. today.

Grace Farnsworth
CISCO - Grace Farnsworth, 87, died Sunday at an Eastland hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Kimbrough Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chris Craig officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Farnsworth was born in New Mexico Territory and had worked for Altman's Department Store, Cisco Child Care Center and the snack bar at Cisco High School. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She married Major Powell Farnsworth Sr. in 1926 in Clovis, N.M.; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include three sons, Major Farnsworth of Cisco, Don Farnsworth of Trophy Club and James Robert Farnsworth of Fort Worth; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church for the purchase of Spanish New Testament Bibles.

Dave Gee
Dave Gee, 85, died Friday in Fort Worth.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at New Light Baptist Church with Dr. Leo F. Scott officiating. Burial will be in City Cemetery, directed by Curtis-Starks Funeral Home, 542 E.N. 7th.
Mr. Gee grew up in Emory and had lived in Taylor County for 46 years. He was retired from Rexall Drug Store. He was a Navy veteran and a Baptist.
Survivors include one sister, Amie Rentie Willis of Abilene; four great-great-granddaughters and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Lloyd Dudley Reeves
Lloyd Dudley Reeves, 64, of Abilene died Sunday at a local nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Southwest Park Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Woodard officiating. Burial will be in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mr. Reeves was born and graduated from high school in Saint Jo. He attended Cisco Junior College and moved to Abilene from Saint Jo in 1951. He worked for West Texas Equipment for 33 years and also owned and operated three coin-operated laundries in Abilene from 1969-1978. He was a member of Southwest Park Baptist Church for 37 years, was a Navy veteran and coached youth baseball. He was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader for several years and officiated football for 12 years. He married Ouida Turner in 1960 in Dallas.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; one son, Gayland Reeves of Abilene; two daughters, Leslie Cathey of Roscoe and La Donna Reeves of Abilene; two brothers, Doyle Reeves of Houston and Bill Reeves of Saint Jo; one sister, Ruth Turner of Katy; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Carlos 'Charlie' Martinez
NEW ORLEANS, La. - Carlos R. "Charlie" Martinez, 73, died June 15 at a local hospital.
Services were June 17 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, directed by all Faiths Funeral Home.
Mr. Martinez was born in Thurber and was a retired teacher and chemist. He graduated from Hardin-Simmons University and had lived in New Orleans for 35 years. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a member of Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Louise Graugnard Martinez; one son, Charles Louis Martinez; one daughter, Maria Carla Martinez; one brother, James Martinez of Abilene; and one sister, Pauline Treviso of Abilene.
