Sarah Etta Smith
PUTNAM - Sarah Etta Smith, 92, died Tuesday in an Abilene hospital.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Putnam Cemetery with Keith Justice officiating, directed by Kimbrough Funeral Home of Cisco.
Mrs. Smith was born in Davidson, Okla., and was a member of the Putnam Quilting and Study clubs. She also was a member of the Church of Christ and was the widow of Hulon Orval Smith, whom she married in 1925 in Milburn, Okla.
Survivors include one son, Carroll D. Smith of Possum Kingdom Lake; one sister, Jewell Sliger of Milburn, Okla.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Madison Michelle McNeely
Madison Michelle McNeely, infant daughter of Sean Perkins and Sheryl McNeely, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Other survivors include her grandmother, Susan McNeely of Abilene.

Tim Bradshaw
Tim W. Bradshaw, 60, of LaHarpe, Kan., and formerly of the Abilene area, died Tuesday in Iola, Kan.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. today in Iola, Kan. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Elmwood Memorial Park with the Rev. David Cason officiating. Local arrangements were made by Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 U.S. Hwy 277 South.
Mr. Bradshaw was born in Hamlin and grew up in the Abilene area. He worked in construction, hanging sheetrock and drywalling. He moved to Iola, Kan. in 1968 from Texas, to South Carolina in 1982 and Augusta, Kan. in 1991. He was the widower of Jackie Fudge Bradshaw, whom he married in 1964. He married Betty Batemon Newton in 1993 and moved to LaHarpe, Kan.
Survivors include his wife, of LaHarpe, Kan.; one son, Tim N. Bradshaw of Eastland; two daughters, Roberta Mack of Topeka, Kan., and Barbara Subelka of McLouth, Kan.; four brothers, Ken Bradshaw of Anchorage, Alaska, Wesley Bradshaw of Dallas, Larry Bradshaw of Fort Myers, Fla., and Dale Bradshaw of Abilene; one sister, Geneva Dodson of Abilene; and four grandchildren.

Joe Dan Rounsaville
CLYDE - Joe Dan Rounsaville, 44, construction manager at Hendrick Medical Center for 15-1/2 years, died Thursday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Heritage Baptist Church in Abilene with the Rev. Mike Schirle officiating. Burial will be in Clyde Cemetery, directed by Bailey Funeral Home.
Mr. Rounsaville was born in Abilene and attended school in Hawley. He married Debbie Thomas in 1970 in Abilene and moved to Clyde in 1989 from Abilene. He was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Abilene.
Survivors include his wife, of Clyde; one son, Steven Rounsaville of Clyde; one daughter, Shannon Hayley of Abilene; his mother, Wanda Maddux of Hawley; one brother, Dee Rounsaville of Hawley; two grandchildren; and one nephew and one niece.
The body will be at the church beginning at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Visitation will start at that time at the church.

Buck Franklin Hughs
ROBY - Buck Franklin Hughs, 69, retired longtime Big Country band director, died Thursday in an Abilene hospital after a brief illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Roby First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Roby Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee Funeral Home of Rotan.
Mr. Hughs was born in Putnam and graduated from Hardin-Simmons University. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and married Alice Cunningham in 1961 in Roby. He taught band in Roby, Loraine, Anson, Spur and Sweetwater until retiring in 1985 after a 31-year career. He returned to Roby in 1986 from Alamogordo, N.M., and was a volunteer librarian at the Roby Library. He was president of the Roby Cemetery Association and was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and Fisher County Historical Commission. He was named Citizen of the Year during Roby's homecoming in 1995. He directed the choir and was a secretary at First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Roby; three daughters, Betty Lynn Nunn and Linda Parker, both of Edmond, Okla., and Rise Treese of Canyon; one son, Douglas Colley Hughs of Davis, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Jan Dickerson of Victoria; his mother, Floy Jim Hughs of Roby; four sisters, Neva Sims of Granbury, Frances Farrar of Sugarland, Jackie Blakely of Plano and Evelyn Nowlin of Rotan; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nephews and nieces.
Memorials may be sent to Roby First United Methodist Church.

Iva Hahn Alldredge
CLYDE - Iva Hahn Alldredge, 92, died Thursday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Clyde First Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Joplin and the Rev. Riley Fugitt officiating. Burial will be in Clyde Cemetery, directed by Bailey Funeral Home.
Mrs. Alldredge was born in Swenson in Stonewall County and attended school in Dickens and Kent counties. She also attended Wayland College. She married Cayce Alldredge in 1925 in Spur and moved to Clyde in 1962 from Spur. She was a retired dormitory mother of Abilene State School and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Tommy J. Alldredge of Clyde; one daughter, Betty J. Fallis of Arlington; one brother, Billy Hahn of Post; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to Gideon Memorial Bible or a favorite charity.

Charles Douglas Phillips
ANSON - Charles Douglas Phillips, 66, died Tuesday in Abilene.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today in Lawrence-Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Michael's Catholic Church with the Revs. Oscar Del Rio and Michael Melcher officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Mr. Phillips was born in Goldsboro, N.C., and grew up in the Goldsboro area. He attended Purdue University and served with the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He married Lupe Garcia in 1968 and moved to Anson in 1975. He worked as an electrical lineman until retiring in 1990 and was a member of the Anson Veterans of Foreign Wars post. He was a Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, of Anson; two sons, Michael Phillips and Angelo Phillips, both of Anson; one daughter, Valerie Peinovich of Joliet, Ill.; four brothers, J.E. Phillips of Lafayette, Ind., A.E. Phillips of Anniston, Ala., John Reid King of Grifton, N.C., and Greg Phillips of Jacksonville, Fla.; six sisters, Patsy Carlisle of Stone Mountain, Ga., Dorothy Roberts of Richmond, Va., Carol Hines of Norfolk, Va., Sylvia Register of Grifton, N.C., Diane Godwin of Durham, N.C., and Sheryl Zwerski of Rockville, Md.; and three grandchildren.

Martha 'Bobbie' Crow
BRECKENRIDGE - Martha "Bobbie" Crow, 80, formerly of Albany, died Tuesday in a Beaumont hospital.
Graveside services were held Thursday in Albany Cemetery with the Rev. John Tunnell officiating, directed by Godfrey-Neese Funeral Home of Albany.
Mrs. Crow was born in Eastland County and married W.A. "Dub" Crow in 1940 in Anson. She worked as a beautician and was a retired operator of B&B Beauty Bar. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Becky Brown of Silsbee; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Alene Bristow
RULE - Alene Bristow, 75, lifelong local resident, died Wednesday in a Haskell nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Rule Cemetery, directed by McCauley-Robison Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Bristow was a homemaker and was the widow of Floyd W. Bristow, whom she married in 1939.
Survivors include three sisters, Ernestine Evans of Midland, Frances J. Beaird of Big Spring and Nona Harley of Levelland; three brothers, Gordon R. Bryant of Rule, Maynard W. Bryant of Midland and Beaty R. Bryant of Old Glory; and several nieces and nephews.
