Trixie June Suder McCathren
BRECKENRIDGE - Trixie June Suder McCathren, 96, died Tuesday at an Abilene care center.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Breckenridge Cemetery with the Rev. Johnny Miller officiating, directed by Melton Funeral Home.
Mrs. McCathren was born in Conemaugh, Pa., and was a registered nurse. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She married E.R. "Mac" McCathren in 1927 in Wheeler; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Robert McCathren of Abilene; two sisters, of Pennsylvania; three grandsons and four great-grandchildren.

Nellie Thompson
COLEMAN - Nellie M. Thompson, 90, of Abilene and formerly of Coleman, died Monday at an Abilene nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Reed Justus officiating. Burial will be in Coleman Cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson ws born in Bell County and attended school at Rosebud and Belton. She moved to Coleman in 1920 and was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church. She married Joe Thompson in 1926.
Survivors include two daughters, Treva Ramey of Abilene and Rheafie Lee Thompson of Coleman; two sisters, Velma Gilder of Coleman and Maxine Mantalbano of Bryan; one brother, Steve Hallon of Abilene; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.

LaMarylis Breeding
SWEETWATER - LaMarylis Breeding, 62, a retired Sweetwater teacher, died Tuesday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Murphy Rhoads officiating. Burial will be in Sweetwater Cemetery.
Mrs. Breeding was born in El Paso, and graduated from Sul Ross State University with bachelor's and master's degrees. She taught typing and computer for more than 30 years. She was a member of First Christian Church and Texas State Teachers Association. She also had worked for TORO Company in Abilene. She was the widow of Thomas Berry Breeding, whom she married in 1972.
Survivors include a son, Mark Breeding of Abilene; two sisters, Terry Bridgford of Abilene and Bobbie Dee Moore of San Angelo; and several nieces and nephews.

Marinell Gist
NOCONA - Marinell Gist, 85, died Tuesday at a local hospital after a sudden illness.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with Dr. Gerald Marsh officiating, directed by Scott-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gist was born in Henrietta and attended Simmons College in Abilene, Texas Woman's University and North Texas State College. She was active in First Baptist Church and community affairs. For many years she and her husband, Basil Gist, owned and operated Gist Drug Store and Gift Shop. Her husband preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Dan Ray Gist of Pilot Point; a sister, Maudell Baker of Gainesville; a brother, Leslie Gentry of Abilene; six grandchildren, 13 greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Cleo Adams
ANSON - Cleo Adams, 82, died Tuesday in an Abilene Care Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Lawrence Adams Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Huyck officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery.
Born in Montague County, she worked as a dietician at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls for more than 30 years. She retired and moved to Abilene in 1981. She was the widow of Ray Adams and was a member of North Side Baptist Church in Abilene.
Survivors include two sisters, Eva Bennett of Anson and Beatrice Jaynes of Abilene; two brothers, Talmadge Townsend of Abilene and Bill Townsend of Duncanville; and several nieces and nephews.

Floy Ray Howell
BRECKENRIDGE - Floy Ray Howell, 77, died Tuesday at a local nursing home.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Cecil Harper officiating, assisted by Jim Cox. Burial will be in Breckenridge Cemetery, directed by Morehart Mortuary.
Mr. Howell was born in Olden and graduated from Olden High School in 1939. He worked for Magnolia Petroleum (now Mobil) Oil Company in Crane, later transferring to St. Louis, Mo., with Mobil. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He moved to Breckenridge in 1948. After retiring from Mobil, he started Howell Lease Service Company and was an independent oil operator. He was a member of First Baptist Church and Rough Neck Bible Class, American Legion and Breckenridge Masonic Lodge. He married Chris Wilkerson in 1940 in Olden.
Survivors include his wife, of Breckenridge; one son, David Ray Howell of Lake Jackson; three sisters, Myrle Mitchell of San Angelo, Lillian Morrow of Yantis and Ardie Belle Hamilton of Mineral Wells; and one granddaughter.
Memorials to the donor's favorite charity may be left at the funeral home.

Jonnie (Mrs. Carl) Grelle
BROWNWOOD - Jonnie (Mrs. Carl) Grelle, 92, died Monday at a local nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Park, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Grelle was born in Priddy and had lived in Brownwood and Brown County for 74 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Coggin Avenue Baptist Church. She married Carl Grelle in 1923 in Priddy; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Doris DeHay of Brownwood and Vernelle Gilbreath of Arlington; four grandsons, 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Margaret Maylene 'May' Little
BROWNWOOD - Margaret Maylene "May" Little, 68, died Monday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Hollowell officiating. Burial will be in Lost Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Little was born in Bangs and lived in Brownwood her whole life. She was a homemaker and a member of First Christian Church. She married Roy James Little Sr. in 1953.
Survivors include five sons, Early Wayne Parks, Roy James Little Jr., Charles Little, Johnny Little and William "Billy" Little, all of Brownwood; seven daughters, Carol Armstrong of Holliday, Betty Marie Little of Montana, Patricia "Patti" Gresham of Coleman, Stella Little, Clara Little, Katie Lemons and Helen Fletcher, all of Brownwood; 36 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mary McConaty White
WINTERS - Mary McConaty White, 77, died Monday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Mount Carmel Catholic Church with the Rev. Sam Homsey officiating. Rosary will be said at 10 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in Crews Cemetery Friday afternoon, directed by Winters Funeral Home.
Mrs. White was born in Denver, Colo., and lived there until 1944. She moved to Winters in 1945 and was a homemaker. She was a charter member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9193 Auxiliary, Ladies Golf Association and Mount Carmel Catholic Church. She married Wade White in 1944 in Tampa, Fla.
Survivors include two sons, Wade "Biff" White of Winters and Jim White of Houston; three daughters, Betty Henson and Mary Jo Tucker, both of Winters, and Susan Jere White of Austin; one brother, Joseph McConaty of Denver; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
