Aerial Renee Quillen
MINGUS -- Aerial Renee Quillen, 16, sophomore at Gordon High School, died Monday from injuries received in an automobile accident.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Gordon First Baptist Church with David Milmo and Mark Carrillo officiating. Burial will be in New Gordon Cemetery, directed by Edwards Funeral Home of Strawn.
Aerial was born in Ranger and played softball in high school. She was a member of Mingus First Baptist Church and also attended Gordon First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her father, Eddie Quillen of Mingus; her mother and stepfather, Linda and John Karwowski of Fort Worth; and her grandmother, Mae E. Salters of Buffalo, N.Y.
Memorials may be sent to Mingus branch of Santo First National Bank.

Glen Dee Largent Sr.
BRECKENRIDGE -- Glen Dee Largent Sr., 67, died Monday in Stephens County.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Morehart Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Rex Boggs officiating. Burial will be in Breckenridge Cemetery.
Mr. Largent was born in Lindsey, Okla., where he attended school, and moved to Breckenridge in 1966 from Monahans. He owned and operated Glen's Plumbing and Backhoe. He also worked as an oilfield roustabout. He was a member of Elks Lodge.
Survivors include one son, Glenn Jeffrey Largent of Breckenridge; five daughters, Barbara Mosley of Odessa, Judith Farmer of Albany, Patricia Warden of Pomona, Calif., Glenna Jackson of Breckenridge and Debbie Bridges of Lewisville; four brothers, Lee Largent, Kenneth Largent, Junior Largent and Troy Largent, all of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Pauline Hughes of Muskogee, Okla., and Doretha Potts of Oklahoma City; 21 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Elks Lodge and left at the funeral home.

Henry David 'Pete' Cochran
ASPERMONT -- Henry David "Pete" Cochran, 70, lifelong Stonewall County resident, died Monday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Central Baptist Church with the Revs. Gary Lawrence and Lawrence Ballou officiating. Burial will be in Aspermont Cemetery, directed by McCoy Funeral Home.
Mr. Cochran married Arnetta Powers in 1951 in Altus, Okla., and worked in the oil field. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, of Aspermont; one daughter, Bessie Fay Wester of Potosi; two sons, Randy Cochran of Aspermont and Jim Cochran of Hamlin; one brother, Russell Dee Cochran of Aspermont; one sister, Juanita Powers of Aspermont; and 10 grandchildren.

Vera Mae Thurman
MIDLAND -- Vera Mae Thurman, 93, died Dec. 29 at a Stanton nursing home.
Services were Dec. 31 at Resthaven North Mausoleum with the Rev. Richard Maxwell officiating. Burial was in Resthaven Cemetery, directed by Ellis Funeral Home.
Mrs. Thurman was born in Coleman County and lived in Coleman before moving to Midland in 1941. She was a cook and waitress for King Burger and other restaurants. She married Monroe Thurman in 1919 in Taylor; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include three sons, Tex Thurman of Abilene, Jack Thurman of Big Spring and Bob Thurman of Midland; six daughters, Pauline Graves and Betty Henry, both of Abilene, Iva Treadway of Big Spring, Mona Maxwell of Brady, Opal Sutton of Greenwood and Judy Barton of Midland; two brothers, Odell McNeese of Big Spring and Adell McNeese of Andrews; three sisters, Oneta Hopper of Midland and Oleta Hancock and Hazel Robbins, both of Missouri; 39 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren.

John 'Driller' Lierman
OMAHA, Neb. -- Funeral services for John D. "Driller" Lierman, 81, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home. Burial will be in Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Lierman was a veteran of World War II and a member of the 40&8 and American Legion Post 1. He was a longtime salesman for Standard Beauty Supply.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen "Kathy" Lierman; two daughters, Judy Rose of Abilene and Linda Crook of Council Bluffs, Iowa; one sister, Eva Woosley; three grandchildren, two nieces and several grandnieces and -nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Methodist Hospice.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6:30-8 p.m. today.

William Baker Jr.
ARLINGTON -- William G. Baker Jr., 59, died Sunday in Dallas.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Richland Hills Church of Christ. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene, directed by Moore Funeral Home.
Mr. Baker was born in Nashville, Tenn., and graduated from Abilene Christian University in 1963 with a bachelor's degree. He was a member of Richland Hills Church of Christ. He was the widower of Judith Bass Baker.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Baker of Arlington; three sons, Brett Baker of Sherman, William "Trey" Baker III of Irving and James Eric Baker of Arlington; one daughter, Lesley Ulrich of Arlington; his mother, Viola Baker of Corinth, Miss.; one sister, Peggy Leonard of Corinth; and five grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7-8 p.m. today.

Mabel Brock McCain
LUBBOCK -- Mabel Brock McCain, 90, formerly of Eastland, died Sunday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church in Eastland with the Rev. Wright officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene, directed by White Funeral Home of Lubbock and Edwards Funeral Home of Eastland.
Mrs. McCain was born in Eldorado and moved to Abilene in 1925. She graduated from Hardin-Simmons College in 1928 with a bachelor's degree and in 1952 with a master's degree in education. She was county superintendent for Scurry County from the late 1930s to the late 1940s and a teacher. She was a Life member of National Education and Texas State Teachers Association. She was the first president of Teacher's Credit Union in Snyder and a 33-year member of Art Guild Study Club. She was the first chairman of Scurry County library board and a member of Cancer Board and an honorary member of Delta Kappa Gamma. She was on the March of Dimes board and was secretary and treasurer for Girl Scouts for more than 20 years. She moved to Eastland in 1967 and served on the board of First Christian Church. She was a former member of Abilene Woman's Club, Lone Cedar Duplicate Bridge Club and Eastland Civic League. She married Gaston Brock in 1928. She married C.M. McCain in 1967.
Survivors include one daughter, Johnnie Delle Cogdell of Lubbock; one sister, Mary Lee Casey of Dallas; two granddaughters and two great-grandsons.
Memorials may be made to First Christian Church of Eastland or the donor's favorite charity.
The family will receive friends from 12:30-1 p.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church Fellowship Hall in Eastland.

Weldon Minzenmayer
WINTERS -- Weldon Minzenmayer, 61, of Santa Fe, N.M., and formerly of Winters, died Sunday at a Santa Fe hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Mel Swoyer officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery, directed by Winters Funeral Home.
Mr. Minzenmayer was born in Winters and ranched in Winters and Chama, N.M., most of his life. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. He married Cassie Barron Perry in 1976 in Abilene.
Survivors include his wife, of Santa Fe; two sons, Curtis Minzenmayer of Abilene and Scott Perry of Fort Worth; one daughter, Malinda Minzenmayer of Dallas; one brother, William Minzenmayer of Ruidoso, N.M.; two sisters, Barbara Frierson of Tulsa, Okla., and Serena Miller of Cleburne; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will be at the funeral home at 6 p.m. today.
