Tom Angerer
MUNDAY - Tom Angerer, 58, farm foreman for Texas A&M Research Station in Munday for 30 years, died Friday at his home.
Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. today in McCauley-Smith Funeral Home. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rhineland with the Rev. Kevin Fagan officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Rhineland.
Mr. Angerer was born in Lubbock County and married Shirley Kay Minor in 1965 in Littlefield. He moved to Munday in 1970 from Lorenzo. He coached Little League baseball and was a third-degree member of the Rhineland council of the Knights of Columbus. He was named Knight of the Year in 1996. He was a lay minister and served on the parish council at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rhineland.
Survivors include his wife, of Munday; two sons, Pat Angerer of Munday and Matt Angerer of Vernon; three sisters, Grace White and Betty Tate, both of Lubbock, and Evelyn Zeinfuss of Muleshoe; two brothers, William Angerer and James Angerer, both of Lubbock; and four grandchildren.

Elmer Henderson
SANTA ANNA - Elmer Henderson, 69, formerly of Coleman, died Thursday in a Coleman hospital.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in Santa Anna Cemetery with the Rev. Reed Justus officiating, directed by Stevens Funeral Home of Coleman.
Mr. Henderson attended school in Big Spring and moved to Coleman in 1942. He was a farmer and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Velma Henderson and Odessa Henderson, both of Santa Anna; three brothers, J.D. Henderson of Big Spring, Ira Henderson of Clyde and C.L. Henderson of Summer Lake, Ore.; two nephews; and one great-niece and two great-nephews.

James Price 'Buster' Tolson
BENJAMIN - James Price "Buster" Tolson, 90, died Friday in a Haskell nursing home after a long illness.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in First Christian Church with the Rev. Jack Maddox and Ronnie White officiating. Burial will be in Benjamin Cemetery, directed by Smith Funeral Home of Knox City.
Mr. Tolson was born in Haskell County and graduated from Munday High School in 1927. He attended Texas Tech University and married LuElla Hudson in 1929 in Benjamin. He was a farmer, rancher and stockman, and moved to Colorado in 1944. He returned to Benjamin in 1956 and was a member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Knox City; one son, James Price "Buddy" Tolson Jr. of Benjamin; one daughter, Dolores Tolson Brown of Seymour; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Fred Hawkins Jr.
ROSCOE - Fred H. Hawkins Jr., 82, of Post and formerly of Roscoe, died Friday at his home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Roscoe First Baptist Church with the Rev. Malcolm Brown and Dr. Rick Willis officiating. Burial will be in Roscoe Cemetery, directed by McCoy Funeral Home.
Mr. Hawkins was born in Cumbie, Texas, and married Esta Lee Dement in 1936 in Roscoe. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II and worked for Ashland Oil Co. in Illinois and Kentucky for many years until retiring. He later was a self-employed plumber. He moved to Roscoe in 1978 and, recently, to Post. He was a former member of the Roscoe Lions Club and was a member of Roscoe First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Post; two daughters, Freda Kelley of Post and Jean Lamb of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Lou Wiman of Snyder and LaVera Alexander of Big Spring; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Claudia Bingham
Claudia Bingham, 84, of Patterson, Calif., and formerly of Abilene, died Tuesday in Patterson.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with the Rev. Jerry Paulding officiating. Burial will be in Nienda Cemetery west of Anson.
Mrs. Bingham was born in Seadrift and worked as a licensed vocational nurse for 20 years in Big Spring, Lamesa, Van Horn, El Paso and Mason. She moved to Abilene in 1986 from Mason. She was a member of Caps Baptist Church and, later, First Baptist Church in Patterson, Calif. She was the widow of the Rev. Hardy Bingham, whom she married in 1932 in Boyd Chapel.
Survivors include one daughter, Olga V. Holcombe of Patterson, Calif.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Jesus Moreno
STAMFORD - Jesus C. Moreno, 78, died Friday in a local hospital.
Rosary will be said at 10:30 a.m. today in St. Ann's Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. in the church with the Rev. Michael Melcher officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery, directed by Tankersley Funeral Home.
Mr. Moreno was born in Austin and married Dominga Moreno in 1962 in Stamford. He worked for the city of Stamford and was a deacon at St. Ann's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Stamford; nine sons, Pete Moreno, Joseph Moreno, Jesse D. Moreno, Mario Moreno and Raymond Moreno, all of Abilene, Edward Moreno of Lubbock, Gilbert Moreno of Moreno Valley, Calif., Lorenzo Moreno of Hawley and Lupe Moreno of Jayton; one daughter, Elizabeth Moreno of Abilene; one brother, Ysidoro Moreno of Salina, Kan.; two sisters, Juliana Vasquez of Stamford and Socorio Garcia of Salina, Kan.; 21 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Oran Gann Jr.
ROBY - Oran Gann Jr., 69, lifelong area resident, died Friday at his home.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Sylvester First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jeff Sedberry officiating. Burial will be in McCaulley Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee Funeral Home of Rotan.
Mr. Gann was born in Longworth and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He married Alice Rhoton in 1948 in Roby and was a retired oilfield worker. He was a member of Sylvester First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Roby; one son, Donnie Gann of Abilene; one daughter, Shirley Bennett of Longview; his mother, Edna Gann of Rotan; one brother, Rondall Gann of Eldorado; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Santos Mendoza Sr.
COLEMAN - Santos Mendoza Sr., 74, self-employed carpenter in the Coleman area for many years, died Friday at his home.
Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Austin Hermann officiating. Burial will be in Coleman Cemetery.
Mr. Mendoza was born in Seguin and married Estella Nunez in Knox City. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors include six sons, Santos Mendoza Jr., Johnny Mendoza, Cornelia Mendoza, Eddie Mendoza, Ricky Mendoza and Benny Mendoza, all of Coleman; five daughters, Gabriela DelaRosa, Elizabeth Merkley, Teresa Dulin, Rosemary Lloyd and Margie Carrillo; 34 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.

Ellie Lucinda Self
STEPHENVILLE - Ellie Lucinda Self, 100, formerly of Dublin, died Friday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Harrell Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Dublin with the Revs. Morgan Garrett and Bobby Baggett officiating. Burial will be in Dublin Liveoak Cemetery.
Mrs. Self was born in Dublin and was a homemaker. She operated the family's feed and produce business in Dublin from 1957 until the 1980s, and moved to Stephenville in 1984 from Dublin. She was a member of the Garden Club, Friendship Club and Bunyan Social Club. She was a member of Dublin First Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Hope Sunday School Class and director of the extension department. She also was a member of Harvey Baptist Church in Stephenville and was the widow of Charles James Self, whom she married in 1916 in Dublin.
Survivors include four daughters, Lucretia Trice and Charlene Howell, both of Stephenville, Christine Clark of Bronte and Patsy Rogers of San Angelo; one sister, Myrtle Burdett of Stephenville; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Memorials may be sent to a favorite charity.

Tommy Mac Deubler
Tommy Mac Deubler, 49, died Friday from injuries received in an automobile accident.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Clyde Cemetery with Rev. David Cason officiating, directed by North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange.
Mr. Deubler was born and reared in Abilene and attended Cooper High School. He moved to California and Graduated from Alisal High School in Salinas, Calif. where he lived for 16 years. He moved back to Abilene and then moved to Fort Worth in 1992. He was self-employed and worked with his brother doing apartment maintenance.
Survivors include one son, Arron Smoot of Abilene; two brothers, Herbert Neil Cloud of Coppell, and Randall Harold Deubler of Albuquerque, N.M.; one sister, Kay McMillion of Fort Worth; and many nieces and nephews.
