Vivian A. Frazier
Vivian A. Frazier, 50, died Friday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Taylor Funeral Home Chapel in Chattanooga, Tenn. Burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery. Local arrangements are directed by Allen-Korzenewski Funeral Home, 1443 N. 2nd.
Ms. Frazier was born in Chattanooga and attended Chattanooga City College, Cleveland State Community College and Tennessee State University. She was a member of the East Third Street Church of Christ in Chattanooga. She moved to Abilene in 1994 and was employed for many years as a dry cleaner.
Survivors include her mother, Mamie Lee Frazier of Abilene; two sisters, Marilyn Miller of Abilene and Betty Jean Smith of Clarksville, Tenn.; one brother, John Frazier of Chattanooga; and several nieces and nephews.
The body will be at Allen-Korzenewski Funeral Home until 5 p.m. today. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Big Country, 3113 Oldham Lane, Abilene, Texas 79602.

Lt. Col. Karen Prichard Budian
BELLBROOK, OHIO - Lt. Col. Karen Prichard Budian, 46, formerly of Stamford, died Monday in Saudi Arabia.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Central Baptist Church in Stamford with Revs. James Brigham and Randal Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery directed by Kinney Funeral Home in Stamford.
Mrs. Budian was born in Paris, Texas and enlisted in the Air Force in 1977. She graduated from Stamford High School in 1968 as the Valedictorian and graduated with a degree in foreign language from East Texas State University in Commerce in 1972. At the time of her death she was stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton, Ohio. She had previously served in Misowi, Japan; Ramstein, Germany; Panama; and Central Command in Tampa, Fla.
Mrs. Budian married Gerolf Budian in 1988 in Anson and was a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Gerolf Budian of Bellbrook, Ohio; one son, Ben Budian of Bellbrook, Ohio; her mother, Reba F. Prichard of Stamford; one brother, Robert A. Prichard, Jr. of Irvine, Calif.; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Josephine 'Jo' Millican
THROCKMORTON - Josephine 'Jo' Millican, 88, died Sunday at a Throckmorton nursing home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Cliff Lester officiating. Burial will be at Throckmorton Cemetery directed by Merriman-Archer Funeral Home.
Mrs. Millican was born in Montague County, Texas and moved to Throckmorton as a teen-ager where she lived the rest of her life. She married Lowell Millican in 1924 in Throckmorton. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Millican was a home maker and a Baptist.
She also served as County Commissioner for the remainder of her husband's term after Mr. Millican's death.
Mrs. Millican is survived by one daughter, Lorelle Anderson of Abilene; one son, Billie Mac Millican of Pampa; one sister, Mae Baldwin of Stamford; one brother, W.T. 'Red' Abbot of Hurst; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to the Youth Scholarship Fund of the First Baptist Church of Throckmorton, Texas.

Bessie Winslett
COLEMAN - Bessie Winslett, 100, died Saturday at a Midland nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Reed Justus officiating. Burial will be at Brown Ranch Cemetery directed by the funeral home.
Mrs. Winslett was born in Williamson County and lived in Coleman County from 1914 to 1960 when she moved to Austin, then San Antonio and finally Midland. She was married to James Winslett in Coleman in 1917 and he preceded her in death. She was a home maker and a Methodist.
Survivors include one daughter, Glenda Wood of Dothan, Ala.; one son, Warren Winslett of Midland; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Anna Dendy
BAIRD - Anna Dendy, 89, formerly of Fredonia died Saturday in Baird.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Mason Funeral Home Chapel in Mason with Rev. Larry Black officiating. Burial will be in Wagram Cemetery in Fredonia directed by Mason Funeral Home. Her body will be at Parker Funeral Home in Baird until Tuesday morning.
Mrs. Dendy was born in Fredonia where she lived until 1956 when she moved to Monahans, Tex. She moved back to Fredonia in 1973. She had lived in Baird the last five years.
Mrs. Dendy taught school, ranched and was a home maker. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Mason. She married Douglas Porter Dendy in 1933 in Fredonia.
Survivors include three daughters, Helen Smith of San Antonio, Kathy Dye of Baird, and Nancy Gibson of Lovington, N.M.; five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth Marie Grabin
STRAWN - Elizabeth Marie Grabin, 86, died Saturday at her home in Strawn.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Edwards Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Orsini officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Marion Cemetery directed by the funeral home.
Mrs. Grabin was born in Lyra, Texas. She graduated from Strawn High School and lived all her life there. She married Pete Grabin in 1932 in Ranger and he preceded her in death. She was a beautician and also worked at Moon's Grocery, Strawn Hardwaren and L & R Dry Goods. She was a member of the Strawn 42 Club and the First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Betty Nowak of Strawn, Lora McQueary of Fort Worth and Joy Harris of Strawn; one sister, Margie Yalch of Denver, Colo.; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Joe F. Sparks
LUBBOCK - Joe F. Sparks, 77, formerly of Eastland, died Saturday at his home in Lubbock.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Westminister Presbyterian Church in Lubbock with Rev. Albert Gillin officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Eastland Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home in Lubbock.
Mr. Sparks was born in Gorman. He attended Eastland Public Schools and received his B.B.A. from the University of Texas in Austin in 1948. He was a member of the UT track team in 1940, 1941, and 1947. He was a WWII Air Force Veteran. He moved to Lubbock in 1956 to work for the accounting firm of Pratas, Smith and Moore. In 1975 he became self-employed and he retired in 1996.
Mr. Sparks married Ethel Marie Woodard in 1950 in Palestine. He was a member of Westminister Presbyterian Church having served in many capacities.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Marie Sparks; three daughters, Janie Brummett of The Woodlands, Mary Jo Sparks of Lubbock and Lynn Lowder of Howe; two brothers, Ben Sparks of Colorado City and Richard Sparks of Richardson; one sister, Patsy Sparks Butler of Bryan and four grandchildren.

Lewis Richard Chunn
JAYTON - Lewis Richard Chunn, 47, died Saturday in Kent County.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Jayton Cemetery with Rev. Virgil Yoakum officiating directed by Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.
Mr. Chunn was born in Nashville, Ark. He grew up in Kent County and graduated from Girard High School in 1968. He was a Vietnam War Veteran. He married Sandra Smith in 1979 in Jayton and had lived there the past 12 years. He was employed by the Farmer's Coop Gin.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Chunn of Jayton; his mother, Juanita Chunn of Jayton; two daughters, Amanda Chunn of Jayton and Amy Chunn of Jayton; seven brothers, John Chunn of Brownwood, Mike Chunn of Sweetwater, Otis Chunn of Memphis, Tenn., Danny Chunn of Smyrna, Tenn., Rodger Chunn of Jayton, Larry Chunn of Spur and Timmy Chunn of Amarillo; one sister, Wanda Smith of Sweetwater; and one grandchild.

Otis Bowman
Otis L. Bowman, 63, died Friday at a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today in Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. A.M. Mackey officiating, directed by Curtis-Starks Funeral Home, 542 E.N. 7th.
Mr. Bowman was a longtime resident of Abilene, moving here from Madisonville. He was retired from Bowman Lumber Company and was a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church.
There is no known surviving family.

Manuel Hernandez
Manuel Hernandez, 72, died Sunday at an Anson hospital.
A prayer services will be held at 6:30 p.m. today at North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Templo Buenas Nuevas with Epifanio Castonon officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Hernandez was born in Marlin and moved to Abilene in the late 1940s. He worked for many cotton gins, the last one being in Childress from 1970-1988. He returned to Abilene in 1991 and was a member of El Buen Pastor Church. He married Francisca "Francis" Trinidad in 1944 in Marlin.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; six sons, Manuel Hernandez Jr. of Michigan, Paul Hernandez, Antonio Hernandez, George Hernandez, Juan Hernandez and Francisco Hernandez, all of Abilene; four daughters, Rosa Sanchez, Aurelia Hernandez, Mary Lopez and Ester Lopez, all of Abilene; two brothers, David Hernandez and Rufus Hernandez, both of California; two sisters, Juanita Rodriquez of Waco and Sara Trinidad of Abilene; 29 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
The family will be at 1756 N. 8th.
