Anna Lou Davis
WINTERS - Anna Lou Davis, 63, of Perry, N.Y., died Tuesday in a Warsaw, N.Y. hospital.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday in Winters Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Stevens officiating. Burial will be in Northview Cemetery.
Mrs. Davis was born in San Antonio, where she lived most of her life. She married James Davis in 1956 in San Antonio and worked as a nurse. She moved to New York in 1987.
Survivors include her husband, of Perry, N.Y.; four sons, Larry W. Hulo of Rockingham, N.C., James A. Davis Jr. of Greigsville, N.Y., Richard A. Davis Sr. of Perry, N.Y., and David M. Davis of Leicester, N.Y.; three daughters, Linda Ann Martin and Catherine Martin, both of San Antonio, and Deborah Lynn Davis of Perry, N.Y.; four sisters, Wanda Ruth Heristen of Burkburnett, Doris Childress of Ruther Glenn, Va., Lonnie V. Janszen of San Antonio and Geraldine Strickland of Houston; 32 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Retired Air Force Master Sgt. Dale Guinn Little
Retired U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Dale Guinn Little, 57, died Friday at his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 U.S. Hwy 277 South, with the Rev. Jerry McNeill officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Little was born in Lone Oak and was in the U.S. Air Force for 26 years until retiring. He worked in aircraft maintenance. He was a ground radio operator while serving in Hawaii, the Philippines and Vietnam. He owned Western Frontier Traders, a gun and leathercraft shop, from 1991-94.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Ann Little of Abilene; four daughters, Connie L. Welch of Sedalia, Mo., Sherri A. Smith of Denton, Dee Ann Brown of Abilene and Suzette Pellinen of Fargo, N.D.; one son, Alan Christopher of Fulton, Ill.; his parents, John H. Little and Noema R. Little, both of Greenville; one sister, Peggy R. Carter of Trinidad, Texas; one brother, Larry D. Little of Caddo Mills; and 10 grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to Hospice of the Big Country, 3113 Oldham Lane, Abilene 79602.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.

B.B. Hurst
B.B. Hurst, 86, of Dallas and formerly of Abilene, died Friday at his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 U.S. Hwy 277 South, with the Rev. Raymond Vickrey officiating. Burial with Masonic rites will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Hurst was born in Seymour, where he attended high school, and married Louise Logan in 1930 in San Angelo. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II and worked as a traveling auditor for 36 years for West Texas Utilities until retiring. He was a past patron of Abilene Chapter 30 of Hoblah Masonic Lodge 1394, and was a member of Lewisville Chapter 935, Order of the Eastern Star. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, of Dallas; one son, Wayne Thomas Hurst of Dallas; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Frances Morton
Frances A. Morton, 72, formerly of Childress, died Friday in a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Childress Cemetery with Dr. David Hamblin officiating, directed by North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange.
Mrs. Morton grew up in Memphis, Texas, and moved to Childress in 1945. She was the director of the first outreach clinic in Childress. She married Doug Morton in 1975 in Hollis, Okla., and was a homemaker. She moved to Abilene in 1984 and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; two sons, Clifford Cates of Amarillo and Kelvin Cates of Lafayette, La.; one daughter, Carol Jones of Hereford; two stepdaughters, Becky Pleming of Amarillo and Johnna Barrentine of Shallowater; two sisters, Edith Marcum of Amarillo and Doris Ayers of Borger; three grandchildren; six step grandchildren; one great-grandchild; andthree step great-grandchildren.

Savannah Cheyenne Messick
Savannah Cheyenne Messick, infant daughter of Melisha Messick of Tye, died Saturday in a local hospital.

Savannah was born in Abilene.

Currie of Haskell, and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Messick of Rotan; and her great-great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W.N. Currie of Haskell, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Messick of Rotan.

Robert Clifton Green
STAMFORD - Robert Clifton Green, 43, lifelong area resident, died Friday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel with Chad Massie officiating. Burial will be in Springcreek Cemetery.
Mr. Green was born in Stamford and graduated from Lueders-Avoca High School. He attended college in Dallas and married Penny Hollingsworth in 1981 in Stamford. He worked as a dispatcher for the city of Stamford and was a volunteer firefighter. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, of Stamford; three sons, Kevin Green, Jeremy Moorefield and Bryan Hollingsworth, all of Stamford; one daughter, Amy Bynum of Abilene; his mother, Lou Ella Green of Abilene; one sister, Geneva Lou Tarver of Arlington; two grandchildren; and one nephew.

Danny Ray 'R.D.' Gowin
BROWNWOOD - Danny Ray "R.D." Gowin, 46, lifelong local resident, died Friday at his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Early. Burial will be in Greenleaf Cemetery.
Mr. Gowin was born in Brownwood and worked for Santa Fe Railroad. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include one son, Heath Ray Gowin of New Jersey; five daughters, Tefanie Gowin, Heather Gowin and Sabrina Jones, all of Brownwood, Traci Gowin of Abilene and Emily Treadaway of Washington; his mother, Lila Gowin of Brownwood; three sisters, Gale Saunders and Brenda Chamberlin, both of Brownwood, and Debbie Gause of Grand Prairie; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Bertha Margaret Robbins
ANSON - Bertha Margaret Robbins, 82, died Saturday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Northside Baptist Church with Tom Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Lawrence-Adams Funeral Home.
Mrs. Robbins was born in Dickens County and moved to Anson in 1944. She worked as a nurse's aide. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church and was the widow of James Allen Robbins, whom she married in 1937 in Anson.
Survivors include three daughters, Vivian Graham of Onalaska, Wisc., and Frankie Chroge and Pat Taylor, both of Abilene; one son, Harvey Allen Robbins of Euless; two sisters, Madine Hughes of Anson and Inez Carpenter of Abilene; two brothers, Benny Whitaker and Don Whitaker, both of Anson; 21 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Louise Conlee Thornton
FORT WORTH - Louise Conlee Thornton, 84, formerly of Clyde, died Friday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home Drawing Room. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. in Clyde Cemetery.
Mrs. Thornton was born in Clyde and moved to Fort Worth in 1942. She was a homemaker and was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, American Ceramic Association and Oak Hill Presbyterian Church. She was the widow of Eugene Thornton.
Survivors include two nephews and one niece.

Howard Melvin Warford
BAIRD - Howard Melvin Warford, 87, of Yountville, Calif., whose wife grew up in Baird, died Tuesday in a Yountville hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Parker Funeral Home Chapel with Charles Warford officiating. Burial will be in Ross Cemetery Annex.
Mr. Warford was born in Arkansas and married Lola Warren in 1936 in Baird. He formerly lived in Lawn and moved to the Sacramento, Calif. area in 1941. He was a World War II veteran and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, of Yountville; one daughter, Linda Cargill of Lefors; one sister, Grace Watson of Midland; one grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Demetrio Lerma Sr.
Demetrio Lerma Sr., 79, of Abilene died Saturday at a local hospital.
A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church with the Rev. Joe Uecker officiating. Burial will be in Hamby Cemetery.
Mr. Lerma was born in San Ygnacio and moved to Abilene from Seminole in 1969. He was a heavy machine operator and, for eight years, a custodian for the Abilene Independent School District. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He married Florinda Olga Ubalde in 1947.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; two sons, Demetrio Lerma Jr. and Larry Lerma of Abilene; four daughters, Maria Linda Lopez and Cecelia Cloud of Abilene, Janie Elskamp of Hamby and Aida Cloud of Midland; 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
