Derald Lambert
SNYDER - Derald Lambert, 68, died Tuesday at his home after a sudden illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Snyder First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ken Branam officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Memorial Gardens, directed by Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Lambert was born in Norphlet, Ark., and graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1951. He married Elouise Carroum in 1951 in Smackover, Ark., and moved to Snyder in 1954 from Arkansas. He worked at the Monsanto plant near Snyder as a drilling superintendent and production supervisor until retiring. He later worked as a drilling superintendent for B.H.P. for a few years until retiring again. He lived in Midland from 1963-69. He was a deacon and was a member of the Renegades Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church and was active in the Church Builders program.
Survivors include his wife, of Snyder; one daughter, Karen Pinkerton of Snyder; two sons, Tod Lambert of Brentwood, Tenn., and Jeff Lambert of Conroe; his mother, Pauline Chambers of Smackover, Ark.; one brother, Donald Lambert of Smackover, Ark.; and 10 grandchildren.

Oliver Eugene Windham
BROWNWOOD - Oliver Eugene Windham, 72, died Monday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Early with Roy McNeely officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Point Cemetery.
Mr. Windham was born in Grosvenor and attended school in Brownwood. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and worked as a foreman for Lampkins Feed Mill in Brownwood. He married Minnie E. Lawson in 1981 in Brownwood and was a member of Southside Assembly of God.
Survivors include his wife, of Brownwood; three sons, Johnny L. Windham of Granbury, and Montie Short and Otis Short, both of Nacogdoches; six daughters, Sue Purcell of San Antonio, Kathy Richards of Brownwood, Neva Christner of Zephyr, Delores Horton of Joshua, Karen Windham of Irving and Pam Harmes of Coleman; one brother, Raymon Windham of Dallas; one sister, Glenda Morgan Tucker of Brownwood; one stepbrother, J.L. Ford of San Antonio; one stepsister, Ida Ammerman of Austin; 19 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Bessie Tabor
ALBANY - Bessie (Mrs. Carroll S.) Tabor, 92, died Monday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Albany First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Tunnell officiating. Burial will be in Albany Cemetery, directed by Godfrey-Neese Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tabor was born in Weatherford and moved to Nugent in 1925 and Albany in 1926. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was the widow of Carroll S. Tabor, whom she married in 1925 in Weatherford.
Survivors include one son, Roy Tabor of Junction City, Kan.; one daughter, Barbara Rowntree of Albany; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Travis Elmer Gardner
Travis Elmer Gardner, 67, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Allen-Korzenewski Funeral Home Chapel, 1443 N. 2nd, with the Rev. Ronnie Newton officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Gardner was born in Aspermont and married Jacque White in 1954 in Abilene. He moved to Abilene from Denton Valley and was a retired employee of Mrs. Baird's Bakery. He owned Amons & Mack Royalty Sewer Service at the time of his death and was a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; one son, Mitchell Gardner of Abilene; one daughter, Kayla Cagle of Abilene; two brothers, Winsett Gardner of Albany and Weldon Gardner of San Antonio; two sisters, Dorothy Eden of Huntsville, Ark., and Revah Lee Sherrod of Hemet, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

Frank Dean Seabourn Sr.
Frank Dean Seabourn Sr., 72, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in North's Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange, with Dave Bartley officiating. The body will be cremated.
Mr. Seabourn was born in Eastland, where he grew up, and served with the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Maryland during World War II. He married Marie Turner in 1956 in Clovis, N.M., and worked as a heavy equipment operator and road builder, both for several years. He was also employed by West Texas Utilities for six years and was a truck driver for Abilene Metal Buildings and the U.S. Postal Service. He was a post vice commander of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; six sons, Jerry Dean Seabourn and Lonnie Seabourn, both of Nashville, Tenn., and Jeff Seabourn, Ricky Seabourn, Dean Seabourn Jr. and Randy Keith Seabourn, all of Abilene; two brothers, Gerald Seabourn of Stephenville and Merrick Seabourn of Stinnett; one sister, Clarene Lindley of Athens, Texas; 18 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will be at 801 Sycamore.

Kenneth Leroy Thorson
Kenneth Leroy Thorson, 63, died Monday in Abilene.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today in City Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mr. Thorson moved to Abilene in 1957 from North Dakota. He was working as a night watchman at the time of his death.
Survivors include his mother, Adeline Thorson; three sisters, Shirley Thornberg of Cheyenne, Wyo., Phyllis Renslend of Erskine, Minn., and Janet Orvik of Shelly, Minn.; and several nieces and nephews.

James O'Neal Rogers
CLYDE - James O'Neal Rogers, 49, died Tuesday at his home.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Clyde Cemetery with Rosiland Thomas officiating, directed by Bailey Funeral Home.
Mr. Rogers was born in Wichita Falls and graduated from Abilene High School and Cisco Junior College. He worked as a car salesman for Fred Hughes Buick and Rocket Oldsmobile in Abilene and moved to Clyde in 1994 from Abilene. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his mother, Frances Rogers of Clyde; two sisters, Julia Masole of Beaumont and Jenny Stephenson of Chillicothe, Ill.; two nieces; and two great-nephews.

Charles Herman Lieb
HUNTINGTON - Charles Herman Lieb, 53, relative of four Big Country residents, died Tuesday in a Lufkin hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Gipson Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with the Rev. Billy Jackson officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene.
Mr. Lieb was born in Snyder and was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked as a truck driver for Fleetwood Trucking and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Pam Lieb of Huntington; two daughters, Angela Lieb and Carrie Lynn Lieb, both of Abilene; two sons, Jason Lieb of Snyder and Bryan Lieb of Huntington; one stepdaughter, Teresa Ferguson of Huntington; two stepsons, Damon Lieb of Huntington and Robert Jorgensen of Brownfield; his father, Alfred Lieb of Snyder; one brother, Bob Lieb of Corpus Christi; one sister; and five grandchildren.

Yvonne Story
BROWNWOOD - Yvonne Story, 76, died Monday in a local nursing home after a lengthy illness.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Eastlawn Memorial Park with Jerry Leslie officiating, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Story was born in Bishop, Texas, and was a homemaker. She moved to Brownwood in 1977. She was a member of Austin Avenue Church of Christ and was the widow of Matt Story, whom she married in 1985 in Brownwood.
Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Morris of Brownwood; two sons, Robert Shuffield of Acworth, Ga., and Craig Shuffield of Cartersville, Ga.; one brother, Dale Talley of Fort Worth; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Martha Hazelwood Green
HAMLIN - Martha O. Hazelwood Green, 90, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Hamlin First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Tracy Watson and Martin Encke officiating. Burial will be in Hamlin East Cemetery, directed by Foster-Adams Funeral Home.
Mrs. Green was born in Killeen and graduated from Hamlin High School in 1926. She earned a bachelor's degree in 1948 and master's degree in 1956, both from Texas Technological College in Lubbock. She taught school in Posey for several years and, after being certified in speech-language pathology in 1965, was self-employed in Amarillo. She also worked with the Veterans Administration hospital and Amarillo school district in the speech, language and hearing departments. She moved to Hamlin in 1994. She was a life member of the American and Texas Speech-Language-Hearing associations, and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, Pythian Sisters, and St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Amarillo. She was the widow of Travis Hazelwood and Harold Green.
Survivors include two sisters, Mildred M. Smith of Hamlin and Delores Vahrenkamp of Killeen; three nieces and one nephew; and several great nieces and great nephews.

Genelle White Brumlow
MAY - Genelle White Brumlow, 69, formerly of Desdemona, died Wednesday in a Brownwood hospital.
Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today in Desdemona Cemetery with Derwood Webb officiating, directed by Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
Mrs. Brumlow was born in Desdemona and married Ed E. Brumlow in 1947 in Breckenridge. She was a homemaker and moved to Mason in 1980 and May in 1997. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, of May; one son, John Earl Brumlow of Mason; two daughters, Linda S. Fredrick of Brownwood and Sherry Ann Mabry of Llano; three brothers, Robert W. White of Norwalk, Calif., Benny D. White of Corpus Christi and Donald E. White of Ballinger; three sisters, Loraine Woods of Big Sandy, Rosetta Carlton of Carbon and Diantha White of Desdemona; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
