Lydia Lavenia Cashen
Lydia Lavenia Cashen, 95, died Saturday in a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Florence Cemetery with the Rev. David Chandler officiating, directed by Allen-Korzenewski Funeral Home, 1443 N. 2nd.
Mrs. Cashen was born in Williamson County and moved to Abilene from Georgetown. She was a member of Trinity Church of the Nazarene and was the widow of John A. Cashen, whom she married in 1920 in Killeen.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Robertson of Abilene and Jannie Kathaleen DeLong of Shelby, Ohio; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to Trinity Church of the Nazarene, 3302 State, Abilene 79603.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.

James Aldrich Baker
James Aldrich Baker, 71, died July 17 in a local hospital.
The body was cremated. Arrangements were made by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mr. Baker was born in Tampa, Fla., and served with the U.S. Army's 111th Airborne Division during World War II. He lived in California for 25 years before moving to Abilene in 1991 and was a retired auto parts supervisor. He was a member of American Legion and 111th Airborne Association, and was the widower of Marilyn Louise Baker, whom he married in 1966.
Survivors include one brother, H.C. Baker of Flower Mound; one sister, Julia Rickenbaker of Conway, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews.

Terry Newman
COLEMAN - Terry Newman, 30, died Friday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Walker Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Billy Roberts and James Posey officiating. Burial will be in Coleman City Cemetery.
Mr. Newman was born in Midland, where he attended school, and moved to Coleman County in 1984. He married Serena Anderson in 1990 in Coleman and worked for the City of Coleman Sanitation Department. He was a member of North Coleman Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Coleman; one daughter, Angel Newman of Coleman; one son, Derek Newman of Coleman; his mother, Virginia Rush of Coleman; five sisters, Ann Richardson of Coleman, Margaret Perry of Bonham, Sara Jones of Dodd City, Dorothy Courtney of Fort Townsend, Okla., and Carolyn Miller of Lennius, Texas; and three brothers, Tex Thurman of Coleman, Gene Newman of Dodd City and Wilburn Newman of Orr City.

Eva Campbell
SWEETWATER - Eva B. Campbell, 100, formerly of Sweetwater, died Friday at her daughter's home in Maryland.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Weathersbee Funeral Home Chapel in Rotan. Burial will be in Dowell Community Cemetery.
Mrs. Campbell was born near Grapeland and lived in Sweetwater for many years. She was the widow of Howard C. Campbell.
Survivors include two daughters, Honori Gaines of Hyattsville, Md., and Melba Skiles of Fresno, Calif.; one son, H.C. Campbell of Granbury; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Raymond Maxwell Gary
MINERAL WELLS - Raymond Maxwell Gary, 90, formerly of the Big Country, died Friday in a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Sparkman-Hillcrest Cemetery in Dallas, directed by Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home.
Mr. Gary was born in Loraine and farmed in the Stamford area until retiring in the late 1950s. He then moved to Dallas. He was the widower of Charlsie J. Humphrey Gary, whom he married in 1927 in Colorado City.
Survivors include one son, Charles Gary of Graham; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Buford Light
SWEETWATER - Buford Light, 85, died Saturday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in McCoy Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Cleckler Smith officiating. Burial will be in Lone Wolf Cemetery near Inadale.
Mr. Light was born in Pyron in Fisher County and farmed for many years. He married Della Schattel in 1934 in Snyder and lived in Inadale and Snyder before moving to Sweetwater in 1977. He was a director of Scurry County Farm Bureau for 13 years and was a member of S.N.A.P. in Sweetwater for 20 years.
Survivors include his wife, of Sweetwater; one son, Morris Light of Snyder; one daughter, Jonelle Kight of Hermleigh; two sisters, Eunice Darden of Roscoe and Gladys Rannefeld of Sweetwater; two brothers, Leroy Light of Purdy, Mo., and George Light of Snyder; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Leon Agina Molina
COLORADO CITY - Leon Agina Molina, 64, lifelong Mitchell County resident, died Thursday in Robert Lee.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today in Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be at 2 p.m. Monday in St. Ann's Catholic Church with the Rev. John O'Rourke officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell County Cemetery.
Mr. Molina was born in Colorado City, where he married his wife in 1981, and worked as a welder.
Survivors include his wife, Antonette Lupe Molina of Colorado City; six sons, Ifrain Molina of Fort Worth, Art Molina and Ernest Molina, both of Visalia, Calif., and Jeffery Anzaldua, Abel Bonilla and Chris Anzaldua, all of Colorado City; four daughters, Terrie Flores, Arlene Flores and Shirley Molina, all of Visalia, Calif., and Lisa Ferdin of Colorado City; his mother, Elvira Molina of Colorado City; three sisters, Maggie Barrera of Denver City, Lucy Franco of Colorado City and Elva Hopper of San Antonio; four brothers, Reyes Molina of Mesquite, Charlie Molina of Fort Worth, John Molina of Colorado City and Nicholas Molina of Grand Prairie; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

Bobbie Rogers
Bobbie R. Rogers, 79, died Saturday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in North's Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange, with the Rev. Wayne Oglesby officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery, directed by North's Funeral Homes.
Mrs. Rogers moved to Abilene as a young girl, and she graduated from Abilene High School in 1938. She married Novle Rogers in Abilene in 1945.
She attended McMurry College and taught at Abilene State School from 1962 to 1972. She was a homemaker since 1972 and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Novle Rogers of the home; two sons, Novle Rogers of Garland and Marvin Rogers of Baird; one brother, Marvin Barlow of Abilene; one sister, Dixie Muir of Decatur; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Andrellita "Angie" G. Lopez
Andrellita G. Lopez, 66, died Friday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Crossroads Community Church with the Rev. James Plata, the Rev. Moses Cavazos and the Rev. Abraham Gonzalez officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park directed, by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. today at the church.
Mrs. Lopez was born in Munday and attended school in both Benjamin and Sunset in Knox County. She moved to Abilene from Munday in 1954. She held an Associate Degree in Electronics from Cisco Junior College. Mrs. Lopez retired in 1990 after working for Texas Instruments as a process technician for more than 13 years. Before that she was employed by Timex for 8 years.
She married Margarito "Mike" T. Lopez in Haskell in 1949. She was a member of Templo Buenas Nuevas in Abilene and was active in RSVP at Sears Senior Citizens.
Survivors include her husband, Margarito "Mike" Lopez of Abilene; one daughter, Margie Reeder of Irving; four sons, Tony Lopez of Fort Worth, Ruben Lopez of Houston, and David Lopez and Andy Lopez, both of Abilene; four brothers, Antonio R. Gonzalez of Schertz and Benito R. Gonzalez, Benjamin R. Gonzalez and Tomas R. Gonzalez, all of Abilene; one sister, Licha G. Sosa of Abilene; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Brandon Lynn Miller
FORT WORTH - Brandon Lynn Miller, 16, the grandson of an Abilene couple, died Friday.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, directed by Greenwood Funeral Home.
Brandon was born in Abilene, and he was the grandson of Harvey and Darla Martin of Abilene. His great-grandmother is Eunice Hyde of Abilene.
He was a junior at Western Hills High School.
Survivors include his parents, Steven and Harva Miller of Fort Worth; a brother, Zackry Barbee Miller of Fort Worth; his grandparents, Harvey and Darla Martin of Abilene and Doris Miller of Austin; his great-grandparents Eunic Hyde of Abilene and John Marie Hyde of Chaparral, N.M.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
