Billie Louise Wood
BIG SPRING -- Billie Louise Wood, 68, formerly of Colorado City, died Wednesday in a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Dorn Cemetery in Mitchell County with the Rev. Roger Huff officiating, directed by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home of Colorado City.
Mrs. Wood was born in Westbrook and married Eugene Wood in 1948 in Big Spring. She was a homemaker and moved to Big Spring 12 years ago. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include her husband, of Big Spring; three daughters, Neta Lelek, Connie Lesser and Tina Sundy, all of Big Spring; three sons, Fred Wood of Fort Worth, Robert Wood of Washington and William Wood of Nevada; her mother, Erelene Dorn of Levelland; four sisters, Wand Hill of Odessa, Katherine Leach of Lubbock, Vesta Shaw of Colorado City and Sug Hodge of Levelland; one brother, Johnny Dorn of Stephenville; 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Birdie Fletcher Crawford
COLEMAN -- Birdie Fletcher Crawford, 73, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Holt Cemetery near Richland Springs with the Rev. Clinton Williams officiating, directed by Stevens Funeral Home.
Mrs. Crawford was born in Coleman County and lived most of her life in Coleman and Brown counties. She graduated from Coleman High School. She married John Crawford in 1992 in San Saba and was a homemaker. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters; two stepsons and three stepdaughters; two brothers and two sisters; 24 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to American Lung Association.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Pablo "Paul" Garcia
KNOX CITY -- Pablo "Paul" Garcia, 55, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today in Smith Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Knox City First Baptist Church with the Rev. Rigoberto Contreras officiating. Burial will be in Knox City Cemetery.
Mr. Garcia was born in Berclair and married Olivia Longoria in 1962 in Beeville. He moved to Knox City in 1963 from Beeville and worked as an oilfield roustabout. He was a Pentecostal and also was a member of the Assembly of God.
Survivors include his wife, of Knox City; four sons, Bobby Garcia, Freddy Garcia, Pablo Garcia III and Raul Garcia, all of Knox City; three daughters, Teresa Ramos, Sylvia Garcia and Ashley Garcia, all of Knox City; his mother, Guadalupe Guerrero of Knox City; three brothers, Felix Garcia of Austin, Frank Garcia of Knox City and Richard Garcia of O'Brien; four sisters, Juanita Garcia and Eva Cuerra, both of Beeville, and Imelda Rodriquez and Irene Lankford, both of Knox City; and six grandchildren.
The family will be at 507 Aspen.

Dora Faye Harwell
BRECKENRIDGE -- Dora Faye Harwell, 80, manager of the Retail Merchants Association for 27 years until retiring in 1981, died Thursday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Morehart Mortuary Chapel with Marlin Bynum officiating. Burial will be in Hart Cemetery.
Mrs. Harwell was born in Stonewall in Rockwall County and attended school in Post Oak. She farmed near Cisco and in Morton. She returned to Breckenridge in 1951. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and was a charter member of Breckenridge Craft Guild. She also was a member of Jeanette Street Church of Christ and was the widow of Berle Harwell, whom she married in 1933 in Cisco.
Survivors include one daughter, Helen Morton of Breckenridge; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels and left at the funeral home.

Martha 'Marty' Metz
BROWNWOOD -- Martha "Marty" F. Metz, 75, of Lake Brownwood, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
The body was cremated and no services are planned. Arrangements were made by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Metz was born in Greenville, S.C., and married Richard Metz in 1954 in Detroit. She was a homemaker and moved to Lake Brownwood in 1970. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary, Lake Brownwood Lions Club and Quaker Church in North Carolina.
Survivors include her husband, of Lake Brownwood; one daughter, Barbara Jean Howery of Goldsboro, N.C.; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Deral Hendrickson
BRECKENRIDGE -- Deral Hendrickson, 64, of Cave Creek, Ariz., and formerly of Breckenridge, died Sunday after a brief battle with cancer.
No services were held.
Mr. Hendrickson was born in Wichita Falls and grew up in Breckenridge. He formerly owned a soil conservation heavy equipment business in Las Vegas, Nev. He moved in 1990 to Cave Creek, Ariz., where he and his wife managed the Tumbleweed Hotel.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Hendrickson of Cave Creek, Ariz.; one son and one daughter; and two sisters, Jerry Bacon of Cisco and Sue Allison of Breckenridge.

Wanda Twiford
BROWNWOOD -- Wanda L. Twiford, 72, charter member of New Life Assembly of God, died Tuesday in a Fort Worth hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in New Life Assembly of God with the Revs. Kason Huddleston and Walter Griggs officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Park, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Twiford was born in Brownwood, where she was a lifelong resident, and worked as a telephone operator for GTE for more than 20 years until retiring. She was a member of American Business Women's Association. She taught Sunday school for more than 40 years at New Life Assembly of God and was the widow of David B. Twiford, whom she married in 1945 in Brownwood.
Survivors include three sons, David Twiford of Goldthwaite, Gary Twiford of Brownwood and Don B. Twiford of West Des Moines, Iowa; one brother, Forrest Frix of Palestine; one sister, Dorothy Etheredge of Brownwood; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three nieces and two nephews.
Memorials may be sent to New Life Assembly of God, American Cancer Society or Gideon Memorial Bible.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Lucy Craver
SWEETWATER -- Lucy Craver, 70, owner of Craver Grocery for 26 years, died Wednesday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in McCoy Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with the Revs. Mike Marrs and Jay Simpson officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories.
Mrs. Craver was born in Thalia and was a lifelong Sweetwater resident. She graduated from Sweetwater High School and was a charter member of D.O.E.S., the Elk Lodge Women's Auxiliary. She also was a member of Highland Baptist Church and was the widow of Thomas G. "Tom" Craver, whom she married in 1946 in Sweetwater.
Survivors include one son, Tommy Craver of Sweetwater; one daughter, Vicki Broadwell of Trent; one sister, Peggy Horn of Odessa; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
